Florida Power & Light [FPL] electrical

I used the app to pay my bill (i have never missed a payment) and i had recently closed a bank account and opened a new one. The app paid my bill with my old bank account which is closed. The app gives you the option to pay but once you prezs the button there is no option to choose payment method. Therefore i paid with the wrong account. I have been charhed a $30 fee die to this.
After that i wasnt allowed to pay online anymore. I was forced to use western union and pay a fee each time. I called and complained and they said as a one time courtesy, they could waive the restriction and i would be able to pay using the app once again.
I went to pay my bill using the app at the next bill date, at which point i pressed the "make a payment" button. I assumed i would be directed to a screen which would ask me how i want to pay, or at least show me how i was paying and ask for approval, but instead the app automatically took payment again using my old account.
I then called fpl on the phone and tried for about ten minutes to get a representative on the phone using the online system. When i was connectd to "mr chavez" the billing supervisor he just kept telling me there is nothing he can do.
Thanks a lot fpl for making my life a living hell. You are the only power company in the area so i guess you can treat your customers however you want cant you. I pay you every month my whole life just so i can have a basic human need and you just [censored] on me again and again. Youre criminals. Youre thieves. I hate you.

Florida Power & Light [FPL] assistance with my light bill

I recently moved to Sanford and basically needed help with my light bill. Due to moving and expenses I was running low on funds and and i called Florida power and light for assistance and indeed they referred me to a local Salvation Army. The lady who picked seemed annoyed and tried her hardest to not set an appointment and was asking questions that did not pertain to her. I have a disabled child and I don't usually ask for help but at this point I'm wondering why is that when they put black women in charge they tend to judge others . Like it's money coming out her pockets .

Florida Power & Light [FPL] deposit

I am furious at a notice I just received, concerning an additional deposit, requested (demanded) by the Monopoly Florida Power and light.
What is truly amazing is that it states that the original deposit does not cover a two month billing cycle, which is slightly ironic seeing how it definitely covers one cycle and they ( FPL) would not stand nor allow any customer to go another 30 days without already shutting off service for that lack of payment, also it seems quite irresponsible and seemingly outlandish that while "our" money sits in "Their" bank account, I can only imagine the interest that number draws for them as " Pure extended profit" seems like every customer should gain a credit at the very least.
Monopolies are suppose to be illegal !
Yet never has the State, county, city nor federal government adjusted nor acted on what is quite literally a gross, unfair, and impertinant
travesty of capitalism on one of its worst levals.

Florida Power & Light [FPL] unethical behavior

Fpl florida power and light allows people to turn on electric any place if a person pays they do not check as to who owns the property or on the lease and does not notify the owner I have spent the last week trying to get someone, elses name off my billing and the property I own free and clear. I have talked to over 10 different people at Fpl many of them being recorded sya they are going to correct it abd yet the next day I start all over now they say sept 14.the power is on in anothers person name I have exposed wires and been asking for disconnect I explain house is unsafe and its and emercagincy it gets shut off then right back on now have to call again on Monday to shecudle work afte rtelling them I concern my house will catch on fire

Florida Power & Light [FPL] continuous power outages

I have been in my house for less than 6 months and have had the fuse on the transformer on the pole behind my house blow out and have to be replaced 7 times with the power being out up to 3 hours each time. I have had multiple conversations with customer service, most of the time the technician reported the outage as being the limbs on the lines. FPL sent a tree "expert" out to look at the pole/ transformer and said it most likely a transformer problem, and suggested trimming the limbs on the "drop" to the house, which I did and the problem continues. I am a senior and find it very difficult without power (and water since I am on a well) in the heat and humidity of the summer. I understand this is a monopoly and I can not go out and find another power company that provides some sort of customer service. I have rated this one star as I there is not a lower rating available.

Florida Power & Light [FPL] 60 inch tv blew out and also apple tv box

aug 31 typical storm in venice it blew out our neighbor and also effective out bedroom electronics ...on our account billing info we do have the necessary protections including electronics...our tv is a 60 inch samsung and the apple tv unit...do we have any recourse for securing funds to replace our units...thanks jeff ceragno [protected]@ yahoo.com [protected] wading bird dr, venice fl

Florida Power & Light [FPL] employee named henrietta mcbee

Mc[censored] is what she should be called. She is a 60+ yr old woman and she is an evil, manipulative dramatic and psycho person. She is also a bully. She loves to go after college students. She tried to jeopardize my school career, reported me to my school and made up a bunch of lies about me. She thinks my dad is a doctor so she's trying to come after me and my family for a bunch of money that the thinks she is owed. She's not. My grandpa is a retired doctor and his past income has nothing to do with my family. I go to school on student loans. She also tried to tell the school i'm underage and that I was an alacholic. I'm almost 23, I am allowed to drink whatever I want. She has 2 houses, her second house in Orlando is purely rented out to people. She uses them as her check writers for her mortgage. She has mentioned multiple times how she is on multiple medications and how she sees a therapist. She should be suspended from just as she tried to have me suspended at my school. She's mentally unstable and she wont stop harassing me and my family. If she continues I will file for a restraining order. Her son is just as psycho as she is and he also tried to tell me how to live. He is controlling and crazy just like her. Mcbee needs to be fired at all costs.

Florida Power & Light [FPL] fpl truck destroyed my landscaping

Power was out at my house and a FPL truck came by. I have pictures and video of the destruction. I spoke to several gentleman that were there repairing the outage and no one would take responsibility, this is an outrage of power. Florida Power & Light [FPL] house power continual crashes

Every day my house power goes off at least once . It's freaking ridiculous that fpl continual fails to fix these issues. I don't know why we pay our bills when we recieve garbage service. From my understanding we live in a first world country and yet I can't trust that my power will stay on. Honestly improve on your trash service and infrastructure. Your company is lucky that it has a monopoly on power because if there was any competition you would be fail in the first few months. My postal code is 33175 Miami, FL if you would finally do your job correctly that would great. Thank for being the most inept service in Florida. Your truly a shining example for other power companies to follow.

Florida Power & Light [FPL] owner has multiple electric meters and my unit is on more of other units

Some non FPL person came at 9:30 at night and did some rewiring and than placed a lock on one of 3 meters? I'm being charged for more electricity than I use, ? Help! If I didn't elaborate enough that new owner Donna Greef, not sure last name is spelled right, she has already been red tag on front unit. As I stated there was a man outside doing electrical work at 9:30 pm and said he worked for owner, I included the pictures of meters and the lock?

There’s been a man who works for home owner Donna Greef, not sure about spelling of last name. He was caught by tenant when power went off and on, He had all meter boxes open and after he locked last meter. The garage and my unit are obviously on same line as my electric bills went extremely high, someone was renting the garage at the time. She’s been red tagged for doing all kinds of demolition in her front unit, and it’s just to much

Florida Power & Light [FPL] truck driver in truck number 6663

Today 8/23/2018 at 12:30 PM I was entering the 112 on NW 22nd Avenue. The entrance to the 112 merges as soon as you drive onto the highway. Truck driver on truck 6663 saw me merging into his Lane and decided it would be best to accelerate and not let me pass and I had the right of way. In order to avoid a major accident, I had to slam the brakes, which made my 3 year old daughter very nervous, and let him pass because he had no intentions of stopping. Luckily the truck driver behind him slowed down and let me go. The reason I am writing this is because I believe that your truck drivers should be more cautious and careful when driving FPL trucks. He needs to understand that he is working and not driving his own personal vehicle. I am very upset this happened and I hope that after this complaint this truck driver becomes more aware of his surroundings

Florida Power & Light [FPL] robbing people's money

I moved to a tinny small apartment with 4 bulbs, one fridge and a small air condition on January 2018. I have nothing else but this energy spends. I always use the same amount of energy. February temperature was 81 degrees bill was $ 60.00; is August temperature is 90 degrees bill is $120.00. How the [censored] do you explain this? For the record Math rule of 3 August bill should be $67.00.

Florida Power & Light [FPL] underground rewiring by contractor

I live at 6380 jack rabbit lane, miami lakes, fl 33014. I need a supervisor overseeing the excavation crew and contractor to call me. This is the 3rd time your contractors excavate at home. They destroy my plants, rocks and parking area, and they always leave a mess and never return the area to the condition it was before. Today the supervisory contractor was extremely rude and did not give me his name. I refuse to have to deal with this kind of people. I need to speak to the fpl person overseeing this. Florida Power & Light [FPL] non responsiveness to dispute

My name is Jeannie Fernsworth account # [protected] I have called [protected] about 35 times and left messages on every ext listed.
I am disputing a bill for $537.09 which appeared on my bill and is from 18 years ago. I had disputed the bill at the time.
You asked me to file a police report and write a letter which I did and faxed it to [protected] on July 12, 2018 I have called about 35 times and I have not received a single phone call back. Please address the issue ASAP

Florida Power & Light [FPL] damage to property

I reside at 8501 E Dixie Hwy, Miami FL 33138. At approximately 9:30 am on Friday August 17, 2018 the service truck providing service to the neighbouring home damaged the grass that was just installed . I'm confused as to why the y did not park utilising the driveway of the home they were working on instead of on our property . We intend to seek damages . Florida Power & Light [FPL] suspension wire

FPL came and put a wire from the pole to right near my area for trash and debris. We just replaced our back fence and the old wood is piled there but the city truck is here to remove it and they told me they can't remove it because of the wire is in the way. This is an annoying situation. Can the wire be moved from the east side of the pole to the west side? Please advise ASAP. Thank you in advance

Florida Power & Light [FPL] light

My name is Elizabeth and I recently moved from Houston, TX pursuing my dream of starting a ranch and raise horses. I came with great optimism and my son as a helping hand. As things started rolling, it came time for my land to have electricity. So I hired an electrician and got everything ready for FPL's service on my land. Unfortunately, FPL took an extremely long time to cater to my electrical needs and left me living like a cavewoman in the stone age. Since the water depends on the electricity I have been living in a barn with no water or air conditioning for 2 weeks. Having to defecate in a bucket and wake up in a pool of sweat every morning has left me utterly humiliated and dissatisfied with FPL's service. They also never answer 1/5 stars.

Florida Power & Light [FPL] on call box

On July 26 9:11am we got a call from FPL saying we can read a box never said what box and need to come out and look at the box So we made a apt. for a 3 party person hired by you to come out. MAX came out and took the box, he open our AC and pulled wires out and never told why he was taking the box. That same day Aug 2 9:40 after he left we called FPL back to ask why he took the box . FPL said at that point there where no able to read the box since Jan. on Aug 06 2018 we got a letter in the mail saying our AC had no disconnect and hot water tank is in a cubby. Now mine you hot water tank was never on the on call box . After getting this letter in the mail Aug 06 2018 I recalled FPL . then they said you box was not working since Jan 30 2017 not Jan 30 of 2018 so it took them, a year and a half to call, so this move up the chain fast and still told all the same thing over and over we had no disconnect when I did talk to the highest one in the office in the on call he said it can take that long to call but we did get the 3.00 each month which is not the point it took 1.5 years to call I ask when he had a good read on the box he don't know because he only been in the job 3 years cant look back that far. FPL we had this box since 1995 and this is how you treat your customers I would like to know where the switch when because no one we had working on the AC took it out and now we don't get the 3.00 off per bill . I should call news 8 out of Tampa they will fine out and put this on the news my ACC# is [protected] I want my 3.00 off per bill you drop the ball

Florida Power & Light [FPL] deposit and refund

Hi my name is Ryun Alarcon. I am writing a complaint because FPL says one thing and then goes back and says another later and this is not right. I called about a deposit and had three different customer service people say three different things. Since they are a monopoly and there is no other service available they are able to do this.

So what happen is I called to have my deposit credited to my past due account that I closed. I called and the rep said that it would be credited. I got a notice a couple weeks later saying that I owed that amount. So I called them back to ask why I was told something different when I did they said that now my deposit won't be refunded till January. I asked to talk to someone else and that rep said you don't get your deposit back that it just keeps rolling over forever. Saying every time you move it just rolls over and you don't get your deposit back. So, I asked to talk to someone else and they said I just need to pay it because I was told wrong information. This is so unacceptable from a company and how they can say one thing and then just go back and say something else. They should honor what was said the first time and take some accountability in this matter if we let companies just do what ever they want with out any accountability then this is unjust and unfair. We have to take accountability as customers and a company should as well. Where do we draw the line if a company hires people that don't know what they are talking about why does the customer have to be penalized. The company should be penalized for having service reps that don't know what they are talking about and the company should take accountability for this matter.

Florida Power & Light [FPL] street light out (cobrahead)

PLEASE !
The light is on Pine Ridge Dr. across from the Pine Island Ridge Country Club 9400 Pine Ridge Dr. Davie Fl. 33324 and next to the kids park on west side of the street. (no tag number on pole) the pole across the street is [protected].
This location is a School Bus pick-up location for 4-busses and light is needed for the safety of the kids. this has been reported 3- times starting in June and still no response. PLEASE HELP SCHOOL STARTS MONDAY 13th
first report on line in late June. Second report 71168 July 31st.
