I closed my online-only account in the beginning of 2026. When I got an email saying that my tax form was ready to be downloaded, I tried to log into my account, but the access to it had been disabled. I called, and the rep promised to have the tax form mailed to me. 2 weeks later, not having received anything, I called Flagstar again. This time, I opened a case number. 2 weeks after that, I called again. Turns out they wrote "1098" instead of "1099" in the case file, so they didn't do anything. I found out it during my 3rd call. They opened another case.
