Opened two accounts on Saturday, but was unable to access the mobile app due to needing a password reset. I know I had the correct username and phone numbers assigned, yet I continuously received errors when trying to reset password. I called into Customer Dis-service 4 times Saturday. They would only tell me to call back from a legitimate number, even though they acknowledged the number I called from was legit. I never received any additional information as to what else I could try. Their attitude, especially the first call, was one of arrogance. Their English speaking skills were also lacking. I closed the accounts today and informed the branch manager of my reasons. I don't have faith in a customer service dept. that wouldn't help me on the very first day I have new accounts. The manager said that she advises her customers to call her directly instead of calling customer dis-service.
Recommendation: Don't open accounts with Fifth Third
