I’ve been a “ private banking” customer of this bank since 1982. I discovered that unauthorized $7/month charges were being applied to my checking account for “ID Alert.” I did not sign up for it. I had to spend two hours on the phone trying to explain this while getting passed around to the same departments with no one having authority to address, the banks unilateral unauthorized debits of my money. The bank advised that I somehow had signed up for it, which is false. The bank refused to refund $28 in a 45 year banking relationship. I think I will be finding a new bank as they clearly do not value my time or my patronage. I admit my bias, but this is true institutional stupidity on the bank’s part.
Recommendation: Don’t trust them
