I lost everything in a hurricane and it has been years since I was able to recover my facebook account, then it locked me out for suspicious activity as I have to use a new device. It prompted me to login with a device it recognizes and that is not possible. They do not provide any other avenue for recovery and this is wrong to do to people who are administering nonprofit activities that are vital to the continuity of the mission. There's absolutely no accountability so I filed a formal complaint with the Texas Attorney General TCP-040736. And when my roommate tried to login to his facebook account it sent him to my locked out page and now his account is not accessible from this computer he spent thousands to purchase. This has affected two accounts and it has banned this man from accessing HIS account for absolutely nothing at all. We are filing a lawsuit and consulting an attorney. There is no sense in the way we have been mistreated. I have all of my identification including my passport, but there's no way to present it because I am locked out. That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever witnessed. And seeing all of the other complaints about the same thing happening to other people tells me that we need to remove this from the public, PERIOD, or have a human who is personally responsible for all public sites when they administer them to the public.
