I am extremely with the negligence shown BY storage facility. I discovered droppings in my unit and immediately informed management. Jeremy at extra space storage, 1515 N A W Grimes Blvd, Round Rock, Texas They inspected the area and suggested it be from a rat, squirrel basically a rodent. At that moment, I couldn't focus on what they were saying because I was by of what else might be in my 10x10 unit. When refocused on the conversation, pointed out that I didn't insurance, otherwise, they have documented the drop. This response frustrating and unacceptable — are rodents in storage now acceptable?
A month later, I returned to my unit to store some items. Upon opening the door, I was horrified to find a dead rat on the floor. I immediately shut the door, screamed, and cursed all the way home. Call spoiled or anything else, but I have never dealt with such crap like this, I grew up on Long Island NY, in a beautiful you can say spoiled life. To be shown disrespect, incompetence from both the facility management customer service. Not one person has helped me resolve this issue, and there's much more to this story. I am a man of actions, if your words don't match your actions, then please stop speaking.
As someone who is mentally ill and disabled, I struggle with basic tasks, so dealing with this situation has been overwhelming. I pay $124 a month for the unit, due to late payments averaging11-14 days, I end up paying $145. Despite this I am left with a containing a dead rat and likely maggots to my surprise Jeremy, the on-site manager, agreed, but it's not important enough to do anything he says he will do to address the issue and fix the problem. But making promises, seems to be the go to in society, god forbid words would be backed up by actions. Jeremy was-off duty today, told me he will inform the guy that will be working and everything will be taken care of, leaving the other staff uninformed and unable to help. FML! BLEEP BLEEP BLEEP Furthermore, my insurance doesn't cover rodent damage unless it is explicitly included under perils, and, only $ is covered I won't even estimate the total value of items in my unit far exceeds that amount However, this isn't about money; it's about respect and doing your job! I am paying for a serviced to store my belongings you supply the place, and you advertise safe secure and clean facilities, I am sorry, but that is complete false advertising, please fix this, that's all I want, fake that you care and fix what this issue is and do what I am paying extra space storage for. And let's be clear, I am not paying for my belongings to be destroyed, and I am left with nothing in that unit. Now I signed with life storage when I came to this facility, now its extra space storage brought life storage for an estimate of 13 billion. The CEO of extra space storage is worth 33 million, am I missing something here. I don't understand what the problem is to keep rodents out and follow what you advertise, say what you mean and mean what you say, it's not hard people, it's really basic bleep. I am tired, angry, disappointed, and actually fed up. Tomorrow is a new day, and I am praying that day 3 is going to be a miracle of actions.
Desired outcome: I need Jeremy to please put his words into action, he said he will remove the dead rat and fix whatever else have happened while that rodent has been in my unit. he can fix it. i cant even go into my unit. i'm freaked out by all of this.
