I had a flight on El Al Airlines for April 2, 2020. El Al cancelled the flight on 3/17/2020 due to covid. I wanted to use my Expedia credit to book a flight (finally). Expedia told me my credit had expired with El Al although, clearly, on Expedia the credit still appears in my list of credits. They told me El Al was no longer honoring credits that my credit expired in Feb 2022. On the El Al website it clearly states they are honoring flight credits from cancelled flights between Feb 2020 until Dec. 2023. Never going to use Expedia again!

I’ve been in contact with Vrbo for the last 4 days to solve this issue but unfortunately didn’t find any help. I made a reservation through your website (Reservation ID HA-QFFH3K ). The dates of reservation from 12-15 July were available in your website so, I made the reservation and I have paid the full amount of money. The money was transacted from my Credit via Vrbo ( I have transaction No). Later on the same day I have received an email from the owner that the dates of reservation are not available. I don’t know this is the mistake of Vrbo or the owner NOT to update the calendar but for sure this is not my mistake. For the last 4 days I’m trying to get my money back without any success. I called the owner and she is ready to help , she said that she didn’t receive the money. I have called Vrbo many times, but I didn’t find any help. Vrbo insists that the owner has to log in the system and cancel the reservation. The owner claims that she cannot access the system and she sent an email that she cancel the reservation but your company still insisting that she has to log in your system. Currently I’m stuck between VRBO and the owner

Really, I didn’t expect this from a company like Vrbo.

Back in February I booked a one night at the Marriott's MountainSide at Park City, Utah. A few days late I was looking to add a night, I contacted Expedia who told me they were unable to sell me an additional night. After a few tries and a few attempts to contact the hotel I had to purchase 2 nights directly from the hotel. The room I booked through Expedia went to waste. I turned out that the hotel had a minimum 2 night stay for that weekend but Expedia sold me one night only. This is simply a FRAUD. I contacted Expedia later again and they denied that there was a minimum stay. I am attaching a picture of a similar weekend for ext year which clearly says there is a minimum. I traveled a few times since and did not use Expedia. I will never used Expedia again unless they contact me and correct the issue. I will also make sure that I publish a negative review in every website to prevent other people from falling into this scam.

They refuse to refund me for something I had no control over. China airlines refused me boarding to Taipei do to covid test that turned into a Money maker by trying to make me pay $275 for swab testing and another $275 for blood work to be done at the San Francisco Airport, plus a 2 day wait for results before traveling, which I explained to virtual agent SHIVAM... I would of missed my flight. From Manila to Cagayan De Oro on 6/28/2022 and from Cagayan De Oro to Manila on 7/15/2022. SHIVAM refuses to pay out any refund. There was no was to contact Expedia without a laptop and the Expedia phone number wasn't any good. Poor service and would never recommend Expedia to anyone. But warn them

I was charged $50 for a car that was advertised on expedia and not available due to a snow storm. I don't understand why there is a charge for insurance for a car that did not exist.

I have tried to get a refund only to find out months later that they are not reversing the charge.

I have not found a way to reach anybody at Expedia to resolve this issue. I all that I get is an automated response.

I contacted my credit card company and they now, months later, say that I had to cancel the auto insurance in writing, in spite of never having received a car due to no cars being available to rent. - a snow storm prevented them from coming down the mountain with the previous customer.

I have sent the above agents 3 emails that he has not answered about emailing me a new itinerary about my flight from Tampa to Boston on July 21st and from Boston to Tampa on July 24th. I called him today and he stated he would send me a new email today which he has not done so far. I have tried to communicate with him for the last 2 weeks and always get an excuse why he cannot come through with my simple requests. My itinerary number is [protected]. arrive at Tampa fl, airport, went to pickup rental car from thrifty, only to be denied. I paid for my vacation package airfair, room, car with my debit card. thrifty denied me picking up the car because they said a debit card cannot be used for rental cars. expedia took my money. my family and I had to uber to the hotel in clearwater fl. and back to the airport when we departed fl. we had to uber where ever we wanted to go while on vacation. i have spent hours on the phone trying to get my money back for the rental car. this is unacceptable, i will never use expedia for any of my vacation needs again.

I booked flights for British Airways Vancouver-London return in 2020 and again in 2021. Both flights were cancelled.

Expedia said they would hold the credit of those flights until covid had settled down and/or I could reliably fly to London again without the threat of covid cancelling my flights.

When I did decide earlier this year (2022), I called Expedia to find out how to use the credits as they weren't obvious on my account and I couldn't find any way of accessing the credits.

After a l-o-n-g time on the phone, the agent suddenly proclaimed I should talk to BA as THEY had taken the money, not Expedia. (I guess BA must get paid at some point so at first this seemed sort of, vaguely reasonable.)

I called BA and they said they had received many such referrals to them but the flights were booked through Expedia and it was they that had received the fares and it was they that held the credits.

No amount of explanation to the Expedia agent when I called them again changed the situation. Again, this was after 40min+ hold and exhausting conversation with Expedia.

Lesson learned: NEVER book a flight with anyone other than the airline you choose to fly with. It just ISN'T worth the hassle if anything goes wrong. Ever.

I had booked a holiday with Expedia on the 13/06/2021 I had noticed they had charged my account twice for my tickets.

I have contacted three times and have asked to lodge a complaint and told there is no such thing and have been hung up on after waiting 40 minutes to have this resolved. I was advised the charge would be lifted in 3-5 days. It’s been over that.

My trip for a pre-paid group of 4 was cancelled by the vendor and we never received a refund. This cancellation ruined 1 full day of our Dubai trip and I do not pre-purchasing this tour. It was the only tour we had issues with and I have received the runaround since May. This is almost $400 lost and AND I WANT OTHER AMERICANS TO BE AWARE OF THIS SCAM.

I purchased tickets thru expedia to fly to Boston and back. Delta cxld the flight too bos. I spent a whole day at mco waiting on standby but didn't get on a flight.

We were jerked around by both Delta and expedia. Cancelling the return flight has become a nightmare as expedia (spirit) used a different airline. They are refusing to cxl without charging and only giving a credit. Expedia refused to help with the situation.

Booked through Expedia for 16-17 June 2021. Hotel not as described, with no hot water. Filthy

public areas with dog feces all over. Expedia photos show a clean grassy poolside, which is deceptive. Entrance was open to street, allowing wild dogs in at will. Altogether unhealthy and dangerous. We were not told of available amenities at checkin, such as welcome drink, and only learned of the m from a poster.

I am writing today to express my complete dissatisfaction and frustration with my recent/current purchase through Expedia (Itinerary #[protected]).

When I booked this multi-city flight plan on their website, I was informed during several stages of the booking process that I was eligible for seat selection. We booked premium economy class at a cost of almost $8,400! Even as I checked out, I was walked through the process of selecting seats (for all segments) for my wife and me. At no point was I informed that there were any restrictions to the seat selection process.

I now understand that I’m unable to select seats for the Qantas operated flight between Sydney Australia and Los Angeles California. The reason given is that this is a code share flight coordinated with American Airlines. Again…there was never a mention of this limitation on the Expedia website as I booked our tickets, selected seats (seemingly) and paid. I’m being told that I must wait until we’re within 6 months of the flight, which will severely limit our seat choices and will likely end us up with undesirable seats and possibly not be seated together (13-hour flight). Again…all this for $8,400!

This is an extremely misleading marketing practice used by Expedia, and boarders on fraud in my opinion. If I had the time and inclination, I would seek legal advice as I’ve been deceived during this purchase.

I can confidently say that I will never use Expedia’s service again, and I’ll be telling my frequent traveler friends about this terrible (and costly) experience with your company. We all take several international trips a year, and I will not allow them to be deceived as I was!

I reserved a week trip at a hotel in Croatia Several months before a month long holiday in Italy. The plan was to reserve it, they did not ask for a credit card and we were advised we had plenty of time to cancel. As the trip got closer we realized we wouldn’t be able to go and made other arrangements. This was the last we thought of it until I got an alert from my credit card company that they had charged my card 1500$ for the stay. No attempt to contact us or remind us about the booking. I tried to reach out to Expedia and it was a black hole. No number to call, they’re online service said “someone will be with you shortly” and several hours later we got no response. This is not the first time they have screwed me out of my money by being non-responsive. The last time they called me to say the issue was resolved and it wasn’t and I had to pay twice for the same hotel. This company is a bunch of crooks and needs to be shut down before they continue to do more harm. I will continue to complain until I secure a full refund.

We made reservations for Canada Trip in March 2022. Air travel was also confirmed. On June 13th I even got confirmation of the Air Travel Itinerary email from Expedia. I also saw my confirmed itinerary including Seat Numbers on Air Canada's official site.

Expedia site canceled the entire Multi-Destination itinerary on June 13th evening. My trip starts on June 17th. The Airline Reference number is 4DLIAX.

We did NOT cancel the reservations. It was canceled by Expedia/Air Canada.

I have spent 7 hours on call with Expedia agents in the last 24 hours without any luck. Your agents are not providing solutions or giving any good explanation.

I will appreciate if Expedia can provide me with alternate air travel at the same price same dates. I am going to explore legal alternatives if nothing works out.

I had a Hotel booked in Mallorca and could not keep it due to positive COVID test. I cancelled and the hotel assured me that they did not and would not charge me and that I should go through Expedia for a refund. I have a letter from the hotel. I have been on the phone every day for a week with Expedia. They finally got back to me today and said the hotel will not refund me. This is a blatant lie as the hotel never charged me EXPEDIA did. I don't know why anyone would insure their travel as Expedia will never refund. Been here more than once.

I have been trying to claim my flights that were cancelled during covid. It os over 2k worth of flights and has taken more than 30 hours of phone time. Everytime I have been told we are close to a resolution, they do not call back. If you look at these itinerary numbers you will see the record of these phone conversations.

I called Expedia about 10 times trying to book new flights using the credit amount but they told me that no credit is available and we have to check with airline company. I checked 2 times with Agean airline and they confirm to me that Expedia has to solve the issue not the airline .

It 's 2 years that I did not get back my money and no solution I got from expedia .

At the time of booking there were no restrictions for being allowed entrance to Maningrida.

I have paid you just under $1000 for a service that you have not been able to provide me as it is now illegal for my daughter and I to enter Maningrida without being triple vaccinated for COVID.

See below. Iberia cancelled these flights for the 3 of us and there were no other similar flights until the NEXT DAY and we could not accept those in our schedule. Expedia asked for a full credit back to me (see your note below) but I received only Iberia Airline credits in the amount of $169.50 x 3 = $505.50

Honestly, we can't use these credits as issued on Iberia and are terribly disappointed and it feels we've lost over $500 due to the Iberia cancellation! We are just devastated.

We needed to book other flights due to the Iberia cancellation and we saw there were only a few left of the itinerary we needed on Expedia, we booked itinerary Expedia [protected]. So we booked the new flights before we received ANY communication back from Iberia!

Could you please apply some of the Iberia credit dollars to these flights booked so we get something back for our money? Otherwise, we lost over $500 and in addition, had to pay ADDITIONAL hundreds of dollars for the new flights.
