led warm white indoor/outdoor holiday lights
I purchased 8 strands (25 lights/strand) of lights for holiday decorating in 2013. Fast forward to 2015--all but one strand will not work this year. I tried changing fuses to no avail. I have taken very good care of these lights, so misuse and mishandling are not the problem. I regret that I got rid of my small twinkle lights that I had used for 15 years!...

I purchased 8 reels of these lights and after 2 Christmas seasons half the strings of lights stopped working. I am thoroughly disgusted with these lights. I can't find a phone number to call about it. It says they will replace them if returned with receipt which I no longer have. I have the charge on my credit card but no receipt.

I bought an Everstar HDBC361D wine/beverage cooler from Home Depot in Scottsdale and when I brought it home it would not cool. I took the item back to Home Depot and was given another one which proceeded to do the same. I am just to the point I am tired of looking at this item where I payed over $400 that just sits and will not work. Home Depot doesn't carry them anymore, and when you ask who works on them they just about laugh. After going to this website to make a final attempt to acquire Everstar parts, I was amazed at how many complaints there were for the very same product. Home Depot should be ashamed and I am a regular customer. I would at least hope I hear from Home Depot.

We purchased an Everstar Beverage/Wine Cooler Model HDBC36ID approximately 16 months ago. Has worked great for us for the first year. A couple months ago, both sides started accumulating water inside. Not just a little either. Enough that we were placing towels inside daily to sop it up. This never ended... This last week it has been making ticking sounds constantly and sporadic chirping. Today, I noticed both sides were at high temperatures, 78 and 81. Inside, the beverages were warm. I unplugged it for the day and plugged it back in later hoping it would somehow reset itself, NO... My fridge is a big $500.00 turd. I too purchased from Home Depot, but I never filled out any paperwork for a warranty so they cannot help us. Apparently this Franklin Industries, LLC in CHINA has gone bankrupt, so they too are of no use to us in terms of repair or exchange. Very upsetting and it just adds to the numerous disposable appliances and electronics they sale along with others and it is just okay to do anymore. Who is out there to protect us consumers rather than those who merely want that almighty buck!? What have people become?
everstar wine cooler one side cools and the other gets hot. what to do?

Purchased an Everstar beverage cooler a year ago, had two repairs on it within 90 days, then they gave me a new one. The one stopped working, I called them back multiple times, they replied that home depot does not sell them anymore, and omited on purpose to mention that the company that makes those, is Bankrupt.
I am now sitting with a cooler that I paid $499, and no one to repair it.
Home depot does not have anyone nor there is anyone in AZ to fix or attempt to fix those.

I have an Everstar beverage cooler #HDBC361D I bought from Home Depot in Scottsdale which cooled for a while(after taking my original cooler which never worked), but continuously overheats and can't be used at all. I spent approximately $400 on a statue because Home Depot no longer carries the cooler and Franklin looks like it is out of business and I can't get parts. I am very disappointed in Home Depot because I am a regular customer and they won't stand behind their product.

I am so frustrated with my purchase of an Everstar Beverage Cooler about 18 months ago. It cooled for awhile and then started pooling water on the right side. I finally had to turn it off due to fear it would short out electrically. Now I find out from a repairman that Everstar company is out of business and no one is able to get parts. I'm calling Home Depot, but doubt I will get this resolved. So...now I have a $500 wine vault that sits empty. I've read on other websites that a class action suit is not available to me because the company is out of business. If Home Depot does not respond as stated by others then I guess I've made my last purchase at HD.
My unit died after 13 months or so...what can I do? I called the company and the number has been disconnected.

The same thing has happened to me. I have tried for months to get it worked on. No one will touch it. I bought it from HD about 8 months ago on sale. I guess it's obvious The exact same thing has happened tnow why it was on sale. I hate to think that HD knew all of this and sold me the machine without telling me there was no repairs and no good faith to the warranty, however I suspect this may be the case.|

We purchased a battery at walmarts, to replace a seven year old battery, we continued to have car problems thinking that it must be something else as we had just purchased a new battery, after putting in a new starter and alternator and license mechanic checking it out it was discovered that the new battery that we had purchased was bad. This little adventure cost us a lot of money for the simple solution of a bad battery bought off the shelf of walmart.

This Beverage/Wine Cooler does not work. We purchased from The Home Depot. We have called more or less 15 times to have it service, and they send us from one department to another and so far no one will come to service this appliance. By the way the Service Agreement was $ 167.00.

Purchased beverage cooler at Home Depot and it had a broken fan. Continued to call for replacement fan. Kept getting customer service call center which promised a call back within 24 hours. Finally after several attempts to talk with a person from Franklin Industries we finally made a connection. First fan sent was the incorrect fan for the model we purchased. We again attempted to call back to get the correct fan for our model and again we were faced with numerous calls to a call center and when we finally got through to speak with a live person, we were promised a new fan. Needless to say Home Depot has a 90 day return policy. On day 89, we returned the beverage cooler and got our money back.

I bought aEverstar Dual Climate Wine Chiller at the HD and have had it for just over a year by about 1 month. It stopped reaching the temperatures needed to chill the wine. I was told at the HD that they have had many returned but since I have had mine for more than a year that they would not be able to give me an exchange or refund an I would have to call a tech to come out and fix it. I would definately think twice about purchasing anything from the HD again especially when they no that this should be a recall item and wont do anything about it.

I made the mistake of buying the everstar beverage cooler from home depot last year. It did not work right from the start, did not cool properly and made funny noises. The temperature would reset itself and then i noticed water in the bottom of the cooler. I called the customer service line and they told me to return the product to the store and exchange it because it had been within 30 days and they only handled warranty items after 30 days. Didn't help. . . The next one was just as bad. Water gathered in the bottom of the cooler and overflowed onto my new tile flooring, leaving rust stains from the dirty water. I was finally able to get a service call (They sent out techs from sears) . Wonder of all wonders! It was determined the manufacture forgot the drain holes inside the cooler which allows the water to drain just like a refrigerator. Therefore, the cooler was defective and would never work right no matter what they did to it. At one point the technicians said they could "drill" holes in the back of the cooler which would allow the water to evaporate but i rejected that idea. . . I did not want holes drilled in the back of a cooler i had just paid almost $500. 00 for and never worked properly. Called customer service again and was told to fax over my receipt and the work order from the sears service team that stated the problems and the unit could not be repaired and they would replace the cooler for me with a franklin unit instead of the everstar, telling me the franklin cooler would be a better unit because they make they a little better than the ones they sell at home depot. Since i had purchased a stainless steel color unit, the rep told me they were expecting a shipment of that color within the month and would send it out. When they sent the unit, it was black, so i rejected it thinking i would not be able to exchange it for the color i wanted when it was available. One day when i was not at home, they delivered a package to my home, which was nothing more than the doors to the unit. . . No unit! I have called and emailed in the past to the customer service rep i had been dealing with, but he no longer responds to my emails and recent telephone calls to the phone number tell me it is no longer a working number. The unit was returned. . . I do not have a new one so i am out the money completely! Do not buy this unit or anything else from franklin or everstar. . . They do not respond and do not stand behind product!

Mine started over heating...The alarm would go off. Temps in the upper 70's. Now...It won't turn off. The compressor just stays on..The top of the cooler is in the 30's. The lower part upper teens and 20's... I am thinking 20+ bottles of wine have been ruined. The number for Everstar that was in the manual no longer works. After reading the comments on here, I am thinking it is to be thrown out. It goes in the place where my trash compactor used to be. looked so cool. I bought it a while back...5 years? But it should last a lot longer than this for the price.
My HDC36SS with its two sides possessing independent temperature control only cools on the left side, whereas the right side does not cool in spite of its fan running just fine. I've tested voltage in the Magnet Valves in the lower back, as well as wires in the circuit board, and I don't think it is the circuit board relay because one side works great. No water leaks out anywhere. This thus far is a mystery. I received the unit this way when I purchased it at reduced price as a display model, so it's always been this way.
Same problems here. I had a repairman look at it and he just suggested we throw it out. We like the style and design. The problem is two fold. AN UNRELIABLE COMPANY WHO DOESN"T BACK IT PRODUCTS, MANUFACTURED IN CHINA BY AN UNRELIABLE MANUFACTURER.

Mine was hot on top and right side. Left side = 58 deg, right side 78 deg. Water runs out the front and onto the floor, cabinet rusted. In constant alarm. Home Depot should make this right.

I noticed mine (hdc36ss) had a lot of heat coming out of the top. The unit is mounted under a shelf but is not enclosed. The top and right side is pretty hot, Left side rear was one big chunk of ice, thawed it out but still gets warm on the top and side. Temp does get down to 58 on the left side, right side is 78. Water every where and has been that way for the last year or so, water runs out the front of the unit onto the floor. Cabinet is now rusted. Unit has always did false alarms for something. Beep...Beeep etc. Open the door, then would stop. Lot of money spent on this piece of c***. This shames Home Depot for not making it right with the customers. My receipt has faded so much, cannot read any text on it.

I'm going to order the same relay that you ordered...how did you know which pin to take out? I'm confident that I can solder the relay myself, as it sounds like a quick swap. Any other insight would be helpful with the pin. Thanks.
I purchased this wine cooler on January 13, 2009, and it worked fine until last week. I came to this site to learn something about fixing the cooler. And bingo! ickflorida offered the fix! My cooler showed no leaks, burned parts, blown 3 amp fuse nor any outword sign of failure. I removed the circuit board in the bottom of the cooler and removed the Sanyou SMI-6-112LM relay (I believe they call this a magnet valve). Putting 12 volts on the coil, and an ohm meter on the contacts, the relay did not work. This relay turns the compressor and cooling fan on. I found a close substitute locally (not at Radio Shack) at a TV/computer parts store. The substitute is a double throw relay with an extra pin out. The rest of the pins and the physical box were identical to the original relay. I removed the extra pin, soldered the relay on the pc board and fired it up. It worked and is still working right now. The relay cost me $5.30, including tax. It is not a Sanyou relay, but is made by NTE Electronics, Inc. (www.nteinc.com), number R22-5D16-12.
Most folks would not tackle this, but is really fairly simple. Get your son to do it. UNPLUG THE POWER BEFORE DOING ANYTHING!

At the beginning of December 2007, I purchased FOUR boxes of LED lights made by Everstar Merchandise from Sam's Club. I not only intended using them for the holidays but also year round.
Within 2 weeks half of a strand of bulbs burned out. A week later half of another strand burned out. I read the instruction about bulb replacement and tried to find the "one" bulb that was suppose to be the problem. What I found was the wires to the burned out bulbs were totally rusted and all of the bulbs were NO GOOD.
I threw out the 2 strands and put 2 new ones out. Once again, it has only been a week and one bulb has already needed to be replaced.
I was told by customer service that they are only for seasonal use. I had the box in front of me and asked where on the box does it say seasonal use. She then told me that it WASN'T written on the box. It is included in the inside instructions where it is very easy to miss unless you make sure that you read EVERY little word.
I spent quite a bit of money on these lights and they are supposed to last 25, 000 hours. They have not even come close to living up to the 25, 000 hours they are supposed to last.
As far as this company is concerned, I think they are ripping people off. I am told I can send the strands back and they will replace them, but I still have to pay for the postage and if I have to sent EVERY single strand back, then the lights weren't worth purchasing to start with.

Just got Ever star Micro lights for my within the 2 package only 1 worked took back to walmart On Jan 27/21 . Then my 1st . set Went out . Called them I have to pay to mail them back to them and they will send out for Free a set .. Wow . I have to paid to send them their bad crap! It's going to be 8.90 just to send it back to them ..
Purchased a total of 12 of the blue blanket lights and used them last year. They were on a timer so they only burned 4 hours a night from late November to the first week in January. I took them down, made sure they were dry, bundled them similar to how they came out of the boxes, secured them with a loose piece of masking tape, put them in a large Rubbermaid plastic bin and put them in the attic which is insulated and temperature controlled. I got them out this year, put four strands up and when I plugged them in, one blanket did not work. On two others, half the blanket did not work. I checked the fuses and they were. While handling one of the blankets, they flickered. I located a light that made it stay on. It had a broken wire on the base. Replacing it fixed it. I tested all the blankets- 9 of 12 only lit up half. Nine of twelve? Really? These are LEDs. The bulbs don't die in less than a year but if the wires are defective you have to replace them. Am I going to sort through these lights and try to replace bad bulbs? Absolutely not. The worthless warranty covers it if you adhere to the seasonable use (90 days max per year) and bulb replacement. In other words, you can't use them more than 90 days per year and replace all the dead bulbs before they will repair or replace it. How can you prove how much you used them? Why should I replace the defective bulbs that THEY made poorly? And why should I pay to have them mailed? I will end up junking them, this fly-by-night screw the customer will lose my business, and I will definitely read the warranty of any more lights I buy (if any).
I bought 8 strings of "25 super bright LED C7 lights", they all lit for one evening. After that, a half string there, a whole string there would go out. After about ONE week, only 2 of the 8 strings would light at all! These light are JUNK! Tried changing out bulbs... useless! Wouldn't take if they were free... What a hassle!
We have bought now 4 sets of these light for Christmas and put them up and 2 days half of them stop working and now another set has done the same.ive spent hundreds of dollars on Christmas lights and other stuff from your company
I bought a set of lights at Walmart in Québec, Canada last year and it suppose to be have a warrenty of 3 years. I pay 12.98$ and to return it to you its going to cost me 20$ canadian. If you selle lights in Canada you should have a place where to return it or ask Walmart to take it back.

I purchased 2 boxes of " String of 5 grape light clusters" about $ 40 each at Costco. I didn't open them until now and they don't work. I called the company and she said well, we don't carry them anymore and there's no stock on them. Ok what do I do since I don't have my sales slip anymore. Her response, we don't have them so you're out of luck. What a rip... I'm going to try Costco anyway. I Just wanted a replacement or at least my money back.

Hi, My name is Galen and I work at a store in Ky. Notify store management that you are having a problem and see if they will correct the situation. Everstar is a Chinese company which makes units by contract for different companies. Their warranty policy is store replacement. There are no service centers and their parts availability is typical of chinese product. These units are priced at half or 1/3 the price of a commercial model, which speaks as to their quality. I know we would make every effort to correct the issue in our store, so speak to a store manager, tell them your situation, tell them you are a loyal shopper, and you don't want to have to resort to these types of websites for resolution.
