So, I was trying to add a middle pickup rout to my tele body, but was told that I would have to get the standard tele body. I really wanted the vintage version because of the sharper non-radius edge, but the standard one was too rounded for me. The salesman told me that it was no problem and that I just needed to make a note to not radius/sand the edges on the standard when I ordered. He also mentioned that there would be no extra charge because it was actually less work for them to do.

Fast forward about 6 months, and I finally went to place my order. However, I was told that not radiusing the edges was going to cost me an extra $65. I was confused and frustrated, so I reached out to the same salesman who had helped me before. He admitted that it shouldn't be an extra charge, but unfortunately, it was now. I questioned this further and received complete BS from the customer service supervisor who tried to explain that it was more labor to not sand the edges.

I was really disappointed in Warmoth for this. It felt like nothing more than greed. I would not recommend buying from this company. It's a shame because I was really excited about getting my tele body, but this experience has left a bad taste in my mouth.

I've been a customer of Warmoth for a few years now and I've ordered a couple of necks from them. Unfortunately, both of the necks I ordered had a common problem. I had requested vintage style holes to be drilled for classic Kluson tuners, but they were drilled too close together. This made it difficult for me to fit the tuners onto the necks.

The first time this happened, I managed to grind the edges of the tuner backs enough to make them fit. However, the second time I had to widen the holes to make the tuners fit. I decided to call Warmoth not to complain, but just to inform them of the repeating issue that they might want to pay attention to and make a slight adjustment.

I spoke with Jake at customer service and he basically blew me off. He told me that Warmoth doesn't guarantee that the hole positions would be correct for classic Kluson tuners and that they drill for the Gotoh knock-offs that they sell. He also told me that they would not be looking to make any adjustments.

This is not the first time I've had a negative experience with Warmoth's customer service. I've spoken with someone there before who had a flippant attitude. It's disappointing to see a company not take responsibility for their mistakes and not be willing to make adjustments to improve their products.

Overall, I'm looking elsewhere to purchase custom necks. I hope that Warmoth takes customer feedback seriously and makes the necessary adjustments to improve their products and customer service.

I recently made a purchase from Warmoth and I must say, it was quite an experience. I ordered a custom body back in June and according to their website, it should have taken 8-10 weeks to complete if I had a finish applied. However, in July, I received an email stating that my order did not pass QA and I had to choose another top. This was quite disappointing as I did not get the top I initially chose, but had to settle for another one that was not as nice.

They said they would replace it after I sent it back, but this meant that the clock started over again. I had to choose another top from the scraps that were left.

Fast forward to December, and it has been 10 weeks since my last email. I decided to reach out to them again and ask about the status of my order. To my dismay, I was told that the binding took a long time, so it would take another couple of weeks. At this point, I was quite frustrated and decided that I would never order from them again.

Overall, my experience with Warmoth was quite disappointing. The delays and mishaps were quite frustrating, and I was not happy with the final product. I would not recommend them to anyone looking for a custom guitar body.

Sorry, but that's just not good enough.

I will say that their parts are okay, but they're definitely not worth the high prices they charge. And when you add in the ridiculous wait time, it's just not worth it. The only positive thing I can say is that they did cancel my two guitar orders and refund all my payments. But honestly, I'm just not impressed with this company.

When it comes to Fender style basses, Warmoth is the king of quality and price. Their necks are simply the best, Fender can't even compare. Once you adjust it, it won't move no matter what the weather is like or anything else, unless you change the tension of your strings. Warmoth necks have a 1/4 inch fretboard, unlike the paper-thin fretboard on a Fender. And for a third of the price of a boutique bolt-on Fender copy costing over $4000, you can have a bass or guitar that's made to your exact specifications. I wouldn't be surprised if these boutique builders get their parts from Warmoth.

Their customer service is top-notch too. I'm planning on building a short-scale bass and I've called them countless times with questions, and they were always knowledgeable and helpful. I wish more businesses operated like Warmoth. Sometimes there's a long wait of up to 12 weeks, but quality takes time and their necks and bodies are worth the wait!
