I bought an expensive pair of Ecco waterproof Hiking Boots that were purchased less than three years ago and worn occasionally in the winter and only had a cumulatively use of less than four months.

In May 2024, I brought the boots back to an Ecco store and was told that I could exchange them for a free new pair until I mentioned to the clerk that they were purchased more than a year ago. I was then told that I could purchase a new pair and they would throw away my old ones away.

I've never had an issue with Ecco products before and was taken back by the issue with my boot soles and the way I was treated by the Ecco salesclerk.

I'm providing pictures of my Ecco boot soles that are cracked, split and falling apart. See attached Ecco boot pictures:

Ecco-01, Ecco-02, Ecco-3 and Ecco-04

For comparison to my Ecco boots:

Wolverine 12+ year old boots, pictures: Wolverine-01 and Wolverine-02

Survivors 15+ year old boots. Pictures: Survivors-01 and Survivors-02

Desired outcome: I would hope that Ecco would help in this matter by providing me with a new pair of Ecco Waterproof Hiking Boots.

Our warranty policy has changed as of 01/01/2024 and anything purchased beyond the one year is no longer covered. As a courtesy, we are offering a 20% discount that can be applied towards a new pair of shoes to replace the ones you are having a problem with, but this is the most we can offer for a pair of shoes this old.
