I upgraded to a new device with EE, and unfortunately they use DPD for deliveries. My parcel was supposed to be delivered on 18 June, but since then every single delivery attempt has been a complete nightmare.
The drivers, Garikayi and Measheck, come to the front of my building, take a photo, and leave without even bothering to ring the doorbell or call the mobile number that was provided with the delivery instructions. Every time, the tracking is updated with the standard "Sorry, we missed you" message, even though no genuine attempt was made to contact me.
To make matters worse, they have never once left a DPD calling card through my letterbox to indicate they had supposedly attempted delivery. If they had genuinely tried to deliver the parcel, leaving a card would have been the minimum expected.
I've contacted DPD customer service several times, but the experience has been just as disappointing. The staff have been unhelpful, dismissive, and unable to resolve the issue.
Their tracking app is also virtually useless. I tried everything I could to make the delivery easier, including monitoring the driver's progress and going outside when there were only a few stops left. Yet, when there were still around 10 stops before mine, the tracking suddenly changed to "Sorry, we missed you." That's simply unacceptable.
I cannot spend an entire day standing outside my building waiting for a driver who has no intention of making a proper delivery attempt.
This has been one of the most frustrating delivery experiences I've ever had. The lack of professionalism, poor communication, and repeated failure to make a genuine delivery attempt are unacceptable. Based on my experience, I would not recommend DPD.
