A small local company has been forced to shut it's doors to new orders after repeated failure by DPD to collect their parcels. We are contracted to provide DPD with 200+ parcels a week but this week commencing 12th January we have been forced to stop taking orders while waiting on DPD to collect parcels from Monday and Tuesday. We have 80+ parcels that are on an express 24 delivery just sitting. Despite numerous repeated attempts at contact via our account manager nothing has been done, nothing is being done. And it seems nothing will ever be done.
I have NEVER in all my years dealing with couriers come across a situation more unprofessional than this. It's DPD for goodness sake, they can't just cancel our collection day after day and apparently not have any other van available.
Recommendation: If you ever think about signing a contract with DPD for parcel delivery beat your head against a brick wall until the idea goes away
