DPD UK review: Delivery not attempted

I received a message informing me that a delivery would arrive and a time slot for when it would arrive.
No delivery arrived during that time, and then I received a message that a delivery was attempted but that no-one was in, which I know full well was untrue.
Upon checking the status updates for the delivery, I saw that the update about the delivery being attempted was made in Swale, and not in Canterbury where I live. So evidently they didn't even try to deliver, as they weren't even in the correct area.
I wouldn't have minded if they told me that they were not delivering, but the blaming of the lack of delivery on me for 'not being there' when I was is a lie and an insult.
