I had a moonpig delivery scheduled for today (26/06/2026) that was sent by DPD. I updated the delivery details to state the safe space was to be the neighbours, specifically mentioning the package should not be left on the doorstep. upon reviewing the tracking details further I realised the option to have this delivered with a neighbour was separate to the safe space delivery option, so I updated the delivery details to state they should leave it with a specific neighbour and provided the neighbours address using the address look up function on the system. I have confirmation emails that reflect this. subsequently the delivery instructions were ignored and the parcel was left on the porch. I proceeded to call the helpline and was met with a very unfriendly person, Afhu, who told me my complaint was invalid and it was my fault, despite the fact my instructions on both delivery preferences made it clear to leave the parcel with the neighbour. Afhu proceeded to further tell me that I cannot make a complaint which I informed him is against my statutory right under the Consumer Rights Act. when I asked for his full name for the complaint file, he refused to give it to me and hung up.
Desired outcome: recompense, admission of fault and appropriate compensation for the delivery cost.
