DoorDash, although overall a good service, does not vet their employees. Called three times to verify arrival using the mobile app tracker, I waited for 20 minutes outside my hotlel lobby. I received no call on my cell. My phone is fine. Been using it all goddamn day for work. Using it now. The dasher drove 30 minutes outside of Lexington to deliver.. I showed the dasher my call history. Zero incoming calls. Dasher's temperament was piss poor and moral could improve. That being said, I'd be upset too if I drove 30 minutes and then waited for another 20 for my customer to accept the order.
DoorDash... your employees must call your customers on their mobile phones. Your customers are busy and most work for a living. Forget communication through the app. The majority of your customers use your service out of necessity. It's not a regular food supply.
Do you realize when someone drives 30 miles to deliver and they have to pay for their own gas, that they are not making anything at all? So, this driver used their own money to pay for gas to travel 30 miles and you are complaining? Believe me, this delivery person did a GREAT thing by driving that far for NOTHING! Get it yourself next time.
Another thing, it is unsafe for a driver to text or use a phone while driving. Obviously, this driver was trying to make it to your destination, which they did. I applaud this driver!
