Dollar Tree — managers customer service or lack thereof
I was in the North Conway NH making a purchase today. As I got up to register I greeted the cashier and she did not respond. No worries I thought maybe she did not hear me. She gave me my total and I was paying cash and it was a $50 bill she would not take it. She just said I can't take that I can't make change. I said is there a manager? She responded that she was the manager. I said can you please check other drawers for change., It is almost mid day. There are no signs indicating certain bills will not be taken all I want to do is be a customer and make a purchase. She said she can't until their drawers open so I asked her to go wait for a drawer to open and see. Well what do you know a drawer can make change. She was rude from that point on. I have been a local customer service manager for almost 20 years. A customer should never be discouraged to make a purchase at any business. As a manager you should be making a customer feel at ease and the customer should not be giving you options for making change from cash. I always pay with cash at Dollar tree because there is not rate being paid by the merchant.
Anyway, I was very unhappy and as I tried to let her know how unhappy I was she just said whatever and asked for someone to come and check out in her line. You may want to think about who you have as management let alone just a cashier. Very upsetting
