Lack of clean and organized store... Always!
This concerns the specific store located in West Green, Georgia. I have shopped there 100's of times and every time the store has been filthy dirty, items in the aisle with product on the floors. Products have been outdated but still on the shelves. A lot of shelves are not even stocked.
I cannot believe the manager of that store still has a job. Is this what your company is all about? I will not shop at your store because you don't care.
Desired outcome: CLEAN IT UP.

This is an incident that happened at store#5135 on Jan 10th at approximately 9:50 (ten min till close). they had just announced last purchases to the counter. the family dollar employee;cashier "Monique" not 100% that is her name but pretty sure that's what someone called her. While unloading my cart there were a few things I had changed my mind on and the cashier became increadibly hateful and absolutely disrespectful. Creating an extremely uncomfortable situation was refused to give her name and said "she is management"
She then proceeded to tell me to leave the store because I didn't get everything that was in my cart and she had to be the one to put it back so she then proceeded to tell me I couldn't get anything from the store. As if that weren't enough, she then threw the cheese at me from the other side of the counter. The cheese jar hit the floor and glass and cheese went everywhere. I never said anything to the woman but that I wasn't getting anything after all that attitude and drama she was creating because she was too lazy to do her job and put the things away that I wasn't purchasing. She was absolutely out of line and should be terminated for treating a customer with such disrespect. There were several witnesses that night including one white male acting as security and one black male putting things away still that people left at the register. Neither of them doing anything but letting this crazy cashier act a fool and offend literally every last customer in the store. At one point I heard the cashier bragging about how she did something wrong to get fired and instead they have her a raise. So it makes sense why she thought she could be disrespectful and completely in the wrong and corporate wouldn't do anything about it. I've never been so disrespected in my life. That woman should be terminated immediately before she ends up hurting a customer. I've never had a cashier throw anything at me let alone a glass jar full of queso cheese dip! Literally the worst store experience I've ever had by far. Something needs to be done. She was so mad that she started yelling at everyone left in line to the point that nobody even wanted to try to go thru the checkout because she was being so unreasonable and violent.
Desired outcome: Monique should be terminated for trying to assault me immediately!!
Store # 13439 the night shift
The lead person on nights Does not want to do anything but talk to the cashier.
They never put things in the right place. I pick up a foil pan with lid, The price under this pan was $ 1.00 when I get to the checkout it rings up $4.00?
I ask the cashier, Why this happens, he said they just don't put the stuff where it goes. I am so up - set? It would not be so bad if the people would together as a team. One time I stopped in when I got out of my car and heard loud mouths using 4-letter words they start with F — and the B — word, it was like a free for all? I have talked to manager, she said she would talk to them. It's getting to be a bad place to shop. I used to love that store and now I try not to stop! If that is the best, you have got, then you need to start over...
Please make that store a joy once again.

Every Dollar General store I go in is a mess. You can't get down the isles because there are carts with product that needs to go on the shelf. Now I am talking about every isle! And if these carts do not have product on them they have boxes and trash on them. You can't even get a shopping cart down them. I went to the store today to purchase one thing that I really needed. I could not get to the product because it had three carts in front of what I was looking for. I once again walked out without buying and thing. And I am wondering why I went there in the first place. I am sure this is not the first complaint about this situation. Isn't there storage in the back so these carts do not have to be on the floor blocking everything. Get more organized please. If there was ever a fire people would not be able to get out of the store. I wonder what the fire Marshall has to say about the stores and all the the things in the isles.

With increasing cost of food, I structure my shopping with sales, promotions, coupons. Dollar General Store is one of the destinations I require to save or spend wisely. Within 30 miles of my home are 5-6 DG stores. Again today I was over charged! (This is by far NOT the only time DG has charged differently from advertised, or posted prices. I have tried to bring it to the attention of employees, and even contacted uper management. On today's occasion I entered the store and noticed the manager PAM trying to stock shelves, attend to cash registers, and general manage store. Not being my usual shop date, I only needed a few items... One last minute purchase was cookies with posted prices 2 for $6.00. After a rushed dash into store, I attempted to SELF CHECK OUT, since the only employee I saw (Pam) was busy, and trying to multi-task with long lines. Needless to say... AGAIN... the price at self check out was incorrect. So I vouded purchase, and waited in line for Pam to correct. She said something about seeing sign, and rang up purchase with a $.50 discount on cookies. ($.75 each was correct), but I wasn't going to shut down a store over less than a dollar. Still this is just an example of the many times DG has charged incorrect prices. Many times I have been delayed trying to buy lower priced food. Sometimes I will contact employee and often they may be able to correct mistakes. But then again too many times I'm just made to accept the mistake, or given some excuse. I am complaining about the service I received at the 807 south main street Randleman, NC store on Jan.11,2023. I tried to drop off a package for FedEx to pickup. I asked the black clerk if she could scan it in, she said no. I didn't say anything but started walking out the door but she started laughing to her manager. I went back in and told her she shouldn't be laughing at the customers. I ask her supervisor, who was also black but I am NOT, to tell her clerk to stop yelling at me but was only told to have a nice day while she hugged her clerk. I was then told by the clerk that she could do anything she wanted and that she was WOKE. This store never can scan in the FedEx packages claiming their scanner is broke. Why? I went to another store on highway 311 and was told that that the FedEx driver would not stop to pick up the packages. Why? Finally the third store in Asheboro NC scanned it in. Nice clerk. This happened at around 1:00 pm on January11,2023. I am not the only person who has had trouble in this store in Randleman, NC. Bad management and workers. You will eventually have to close this store for poor business. I am sure you can see who was working at this time. Will never shop here again. Dirty store.
Desired outcome: both people should be disciplined for their actions. I know you won't. You need to hire better workers. I have 30 years of working with the public and would never been allowed to treat my customers like this.

I am a former employee for Dollar General. I was wrongfully treated for being ill back in Dec 2022. Store manager told me she was taking me off the schedule because I was ill and she demanded to know if I would be ay work the following day. I told her I had every intention of being there but I couldnt possibly know when my vomiting would end. I assumed I was being let go based on what she had told me. so I applied at another Dollar General and the status says I am not eligible for hire. This is unfair I did nothing wrong. I would like to know why I am ineligible?

nothing has been done i only put the complaint on here when i found out they made me ineligible for rehire. I am guessing thats based on whatever that manager did with their corporate offices when she let me go for missing one day of work since being there. the store manager needs to be reprimanded for her behavior with her employees. the way she talks to people and handles thing is unprofessional. she cost me my job. as i can see my complaint wont be resolved on here either and that manager gets away with her unstable behavior
Service employee threatened to call the cops on me
An employee by the name of April Wainscott at your Corinth, KY location threatened to call the cops on me for me raising my tone to an appropriate level to alert her of my presence and another customers presence at the front of the store at the counter because we had waited patiently and didn’t see where she was in the store at the counter when she was in the back of the store. She rudely told us that I didn’t need to yell and I wasn’t yelling and informed of such that’s when she threatened to call the cops. She told us to read the sign they had taped there on the counter and to squeeze the dog toy to alert her of her presence. Maybe she should be educated on customer service and inventory policies and how the customer always come first then her stock work. I politely bought and paid for my stuff and worked in the retail sector before. So I know she was in the wrong on this and have been a loyal customer in many states and have never had this papered to me before. I have spent a lot of money in your stores all over the states. And I have read your corporate profile and she needs to at least be written up if not fired since I have been told several others that she does this uncalled for action all the time here at this location.
Desired outcome: Written up or fired would be my preferred out come but definitely needs to educated since I’m a gay man and she should have threatened to call the cops on me.

Dollar General has done me wrong. throwing me into a position I was not prepared for. I was promised training which I never got. He set me up for failure. there are managers that make their employees work off the clock with he was aware of. he did not write the manager up. this company has broken me mentally. I am seeing a doctor for my mental health which was not a problem until I was put thru "HELL". I was left to figure it out on my own. There are manger selling drugs out of the store. Dollar General needs to do better. Jim Price is the district manager; he talks about other employees to other employees behind their back. That is unacceptable. another store he covers the Manager is a alcoholic and Jims knows about it I reported her myself. nothing happened in that case either. This one of the most embarrassing places I have worked. I am owed 40 hours at 16.00 and hr. I will take this to a lawyer if you can't seem to find it. Do something about it Jim Price is driving the district in to the ground.

Dollar General Store #12471 this place is disgusting from parking lot to store. when i try and shop at my local dollar general store the store is always a wreck from no product on shelf or your stock carts blocking aisles. today i went to pick up items and all the tampons and pad section completely wiped out. had to drive to family dollar down the road to get them. just been disappointed for this store for awhile please look for yourself and only see one person in store at 445pm 1/9/23 also parking lot had a bunch of trash in it and the store looks empty

On 12/12/2022 I was taken into the office and harassed about $500 missing, I provided them with $400 in counterfeit money and they took it. He asked me about shortages and bank bags not matching. I explained it must have been entered wrong on computer at end of day. I was the store Manger. They never properly trained us on the new systems, I asked my DM numerous times on how to work new system and track down shortages and overages, but was never helped. On 12/19/2022 I received a call saying I was terminated for code 43 mishandling assets. Then I got a letter from unemployment stating DG said I was responsible for $800 missing, which I never was asked about. I was told on 12/14/2022 by my DM to put In a complaint on Tim, for how I was treated in the room. I did, then was terminated. I've put in numerous complaints and disputes and heard nothing back. I was employed for dollar general for 5 yrs. Trained Managers

Theft by employees
I went to the 3333 Manchester Rd, Akron, OH 44319 Dollar General 12-29-2022 at around 7:15 on my way home from work. Ready to check out I saw the cashier was in the middle of eating not wanting to bother her I went to the self checkout. I rang up $33 worth of merchandise and put it on my credit card. I was instructed by the self checkout to take my card out. I also saw what I thought was my receipt and took it and put it in my bag. Now in my car the cashier came running out telling me the purchase wasn’t finished. I went back in and saw the total was $54 and many items not mine. I told the cashier these items are not mine. After getting home I checked my bank account to find a 54.00 charge had been put on my card by the store. I went back 12-30-2022 at the same time to find an elderly man claiming to be a temporary manager and since he wasn’t there the night this happened he couldn’t do anything. I was told to see a manager that was only at the store from 6 am to 2pm. I work during these times and there’s no way I could be here at this time. Throwing his hands up. Frustrated I said this is ridiculous and stormed out of the store. I worked for merchant services and banks what I saw there was theft. The process to finish the purchase was tampered with in order to leave the purchase open long enough to allow extra items to be put on my card. The purchase was finished by a unknown person at this store. While 20.00 isn’t worth the fight I am writing this to alert the public of what is going on at this store. Corporate should do something about this since they have large lawsuits going on with stealing from the public by overcharging. Hope they get caught. Don’t shop at Dollar General. Especially this one.
Desired outcome: Return my money. Find the culprit on camera.
