On 4/5/23 I purchased 4 tires for my prized truck, a 2018 Ford F150 King Ranch truck for $1,178.15. Out the door in 45 minutes or so. Great! No long wait. A few days later while detailing my prized truck I noticed all four wheels were chipped around their perimeter! WTH?! I know my truck inside and out. That wasn't there previously. I immediately called the...

Discount Tire Damaged wheel

If you care about your wheels, don't take it to the Bellingham Washington Discount Tires. If you do.. make them do a walk through of the car first, because if they damage it, they will blame it on you!

I purchase new tires and the tire technician damaged one of my wheels. When I pointed out the damage the manager told me that it's up to me to find a repair shop instead of replacing the damage wheel.

He also shared with me that the technician is calling me a liar that the damage was already there! If this was true why didn't they point it out before beginning. This is outrageous!

Desired outcome: Replace the wheel.

Discount Tire Service to my car.

Recently I had my car worked on by Discount Tire, King Ave, Billings, Montana. I own a Mustang GT. I spent around $3000 on Rims and Tires. One of the tires had sidewall damaged. I went to Discount Tire on King Ave. to replace this tire. When the tire was being replaced I asked the technician to wipe out the inside of the tire. He informed me that they were not a detail shop. Prior to the worked I explained the car had been stored for winter and asked that all the tires be checked for proper pressure. I watched while the car was serviced the tire on the passenger side were never checked. I left a review of services say what you read above at the discount tire site. And the review was removed.

Desired outcome: Funds for service be returned.

Discount Tire Tires checked

I took my 34' Class A RV to your store located on Old Trolley road and Dorchester Rd. in Summerville, SC to have my tires checked prior to my trip to Texas. I am a woman who travels alone with my dogs and wanted to make sure I was safe. They put air in the tires and sent me on my way telling me I was good. In one day, while going across the US, I was in Louisiana and two of my tires blew... one during the day, and the second one being at night! This put me in great danger and I am furious! I have since replaced all the 6 tires as while they looked good, they were 2009 tires and was told by the company in LA who I bought the new tires from, that I was in danger driving on those old tires... Your company put me in great danger and I believe if I hadn't been towing my Jeep, I could have lost control of the RV with the second blow-out that night being my front passenger tire.

I went into the store to get an explanation when I returned to Summerville, where I saw your big sign in the waiting room about the dangers of driving on old tires. I never saw this sign as I stayed outside with my rv while they put air in the tires... I was never warned! I went back in to the store and not even an apology.

Not that it matters, but Bruce Halle (Jr) is a friend of mine who I went to school with in Scottsdale, Az. and I am sure his dad would be very upset with what they did with not giving me any warning at all about my 2009 tires! I didn't even get an apology from the manager when I went in to complain. He just stood there looking at me... Disgusting and dangerous and I know that Sr. would be really upset with this story.

Leslie (Black) Tribolet. [protected]. [protected]@yahoo.com

Desired outcome: Inform you employees and call the manager in for an explanation of why they let me get on the road with the dangerous old tires saying I was good to go just with some air they put in them.....

Discount Tire Damage to my car, inability to communicate with discount tire claims department

Terrible customer service! This morning, the Discount Tire in Plano, Texas did over $900 in damage to my car, by cross threading a lug bolt into the right rear hub, so much so that the hub needs to be replaced. I took my car to the dealer for an estimate right away. Later that afternoon, I contacted the Discount Tire corporate office in Scottsdale, Arizona to speak with the claims department, and get the repairs scheduled, and set up direct payment. I was told that I cannot call in to speak with anyone in the claims department, and that I must wait until they contact me. TERRIBLE POLICY! Once this issue gets resolved, I will never do business with Discount Tire ever again. I had been a customer for over 20 years, and have had a few issues that the local store stood by and took care of, but this corporate policy is unacceptable! Publish your claims department phone number so that we can communicate and get the damage caused by your employee at your store repaired on our timeline, not yours. EPIC FAIL!

Desired outcome: Repairs made to my car ASAP. I'm riding on only 80% of the required lug bolts on one of the wheels right now. Dangerous! Discount Tire won't let you call into the claims department to get things resolved.

Discount Tire Tire replacement

Dear Folks,

I have been an enthusiastic customer of Discount Tire for 30 years. I have steered my three daughters and at least two girlfriends I can recall to you for full tire replacement. On 10/17 2020 I purchased my 3rd set of Wranglers from you.

Recently your air check tech informed me those tires are six years old. Your local manager offered to replace them but since the model was discontinued I would have to pay $37 each for the new tires and $194 for the road hazard insurance I already had in place. The total came to $353. I don't believe I should have to pay anything to cover your error. I expect you to replace the tires and continue the insurance I have in place at no cost to me. I am proud to say I am a 100percent service connected veteran--former and currently inactive Marine. My disability was awarded for wounds and ptsd from infantry service in Vietnam-1968. I am the son of a Marine officer and and attorney and will pursue this matter at the Federal level if necessary. Your own policies do not permit the sale of tires over two years old.

Desired outcome: Replace tires with new wranglers and continue road hazard insurance already in place at no charge

Discount Tire Customer had to pay for unneeded parts - invoice# 161881

My daughter and I have been Discount Tire customers for years. This past month my daughter went for 4 new tires. Upon installing the new tires she was told she had a bent rim that needed to be replaced, but they would have to order it. Today, she went in to the store and they installed the new rim. Our complaint is she had to pay about $70(incl. tax) for a wheel kit that includes some type of hub washers and lug nuts for all 4 wheels. She only needed these parts for ONE new wheel which should have cost her about $17, but had to pay for extra parts that will not fit the 3 original wheels. The store reps explanation was its an after market rim so you have to buy the extra parts that you may need later... Later when... Cars don't go through rims like tires. This is a rip off by either Discount Tire or the aftermarket wheel seller.

I will think twice before using Discount Tire again. I am active on social media and I will voice my dissatisfaction.

Desired outcome: Refund a prorated price of appx. $50 for the unneeded parts she doesn't need and we return the unneeded part to the store.

Discount Tire New faulty tires

I purchased 2 new tires from discount tire for my front wheels about a month ago and they are already going flat all the time. There is still all the tred but everyday when I go to work I have to air up the tires I bought from discount tire. This is ridiculous because my rear tires which are over a year old are fine!

I would like these tires to be fixed or ideally replaced with actual functioning tires which can retain air.

Thank you

Desired outcome: Functioning tires

Discount Tire Damages to my vehicle

I'm disappointed that I must report this to the Better Business Bureau but with the last few months of inaction and being dismissed or blown-off I feel it's important to make this report. I have been a customer at this discount tire store (1990 E County Line Rd., Littleton, CO 80126) for the last 14 years in which I have never had an issue until this recent incident.

September of this year, I took my automobile in for a screw that was embedded in one of my tires. I was told I would get a text message when my automobile would be available. Around 40-minutes later, and I got the notification that my vehicle was ready to be picked-up. Upon collecting my keys, I went to get my vehicle and my KIA would not start. Repeatedly I attempted to start my KIA. After several failed attempts I went back into the shop and informed them that my vehicle would not start.

The front-desk tire associate that helped me check-in was unaware with any problems with my vehicle and went back to discuss the concern with the tire technician. Apparently, the technician informed the associate that the car wouldn’t start so they had to jumpstart my vehicle in order to get it into the service bay; then again, after the repairs were completed, they jumpstarted it again to park the vehicle. This was highly questionable since my vehicle did not have any prior mechanical issue or anything that would prevent it from starting

At no time did Discount Tire attempt to contact me about my vehicle not starting. The service invoice showed the free repair for the YOKOHAMA tire and the following notes associated to the repair but did not mention any faulty battery or the need to jumpstart my vehicle, nor was I informed when I collected my keys from the sales associate that my car would not start, and they had to jump it. I asked to speak to the manager on duty at which point I was told the store manager would not be available until that following Monday.

Since my vehicle would not start, they offered to jumpstart my KIA using their mobile jump start box device. It was obvious what the culprit was, they were crossing the jumper-cables when they were attempting to jumpstart my vehicle. I informed the tire technician that they were crossing the wires with little response other than sorry.

While attempting to drive my vehicle out of the parking lot the power began to drop, the engine speed began to decrease, and the vehicles power diminished significantly to the point I was forced to turn the vehicle around. Fortunately, there was an auto mechanic shop within the same shopping center. I took my vehicle to Service Street #510 2074 E County Line Rd.; the shop went ahead and conducted a diagnostic to try to figure out what the issue was. Upon further investigation they informed me that a major fuse near the battery assembly was damaged. From there they told me it would take some time to order the part necessary to provide the repairs.

The following Monday I reached out to the store manager Mr. Greg Fairbanks. Greg informed me that he was happy to help but he was only able to process up to $200 for damage is done and anything exceeding that price would have to go through his corporate office claims department. From there I was directed to a third-party property damage claims provider representing Discount Tire. Mr. Rick Hoegerl, Senior Claims Rep from Fleet Response reached out to me. Rick informed me that they would deal directly with Service Street for damages done and pay accordingly.

It took about three-weeks for my vehicle to be repaired. After the repairs were completed, I was told by Rick that if I had any other problems associated with this incident that my claim would be reopened and taken care of. Almost immediately, my vehicles climate control system began to malfunction. I took my vehicle back in to Service Street and after further investigation, it was determined that they needed to reset the climate control system back to the manufacture default settings. The vehicle was working fine for a few days and then abruptly it began to misfire when attempting to start. At that point I felt it was prudent to take it to the dealership from where I purchased the vehicle. The earliest I could get my vehicle in for service was mid-November. After taking my vehicle into the dealership for another diagnostic, the KIA technician said they believe that the starter malfunctioning could be related to the jumpstart cross terminal connection performed by the previously Discount Tire technician.

With the inconvenience of a malfunctioning vehicle and the unexpected auto repairs my petition for compensation on numerous occasions to Fleet Response has been simply ignored or dismissed. Mr. Rick Hoegerl will not return my phone calls or emails. I was able to connect with a Mr. Spencer Beatty another Senior Claims Representative with Fleet Response who was initially helpful and then has passed me off to a Mrs. Mary Sittnick, this Third-Party Team lead for Fleet Response requested me to send my most recent receipts for repairs done to my vehicle. At this point, it’s been over three weeks without any response about my claim or denial of my claim. I have attempted to contact Discount Tire company on multiple occasions without any call back or emails. I have left countless voicemail messages to Discount Tire Claims Manager Mr. Rob Ramos.

This is completely frustrating and disparaging as an easygoing customer. Discount Tire and their affiliated third-party insurance company have shown a total inept towards customer service and have demonstrated a disregard for the damages done by their tire technician. You would assume at some level a commitment or empathy would be made to address the problems created by their negligence. My family was without a vehicle for over three weeks and had to endure challenging work schedules, school pick-up/drop-off and other basic travel arrangements. I feel my kindness to the situation was taken advantage of and I was misled about the commitment to reimburse me for the damages done to my vehicle. The incompetence and malfeasance to this situation shown by Fleet Response has been just that...a lie. The lack of transparency and poor customer service will be conveyed to my family, friends, neighbors, and will be put in my community forum about this level of fraud. I will tell everyone I know about this unfortunate event and inform them to be mindful from where they purchase their next set of tires.

Discount Tire Tire rotation service

History:I bought all 4 tires from Tire Discounters, 8104 US42, Florence, Ky. on 4/8/2022 Invoice lTW-[protected], mileage 38471.

Yesterday12/6/2022 I took my car in for my first tire rotation at mileage at 45340 at same location invoice lTW-[protected]. When the service was complete I drove away and quickly noticed that the psi was showing incorrectly. The front was showing as the back and visa versa. I drove back to tire discounter explained the problem and the mechanic told me he couldn't fix it and I should go to Cadillac Dealer. Today I took my car to Cadillac and they fixed the problem for $19.67. I went back to the Tire Discounter and asked to be reimbursed and a salesman named Jim said they don't keep the tool needed to fix this for all car types and refused reimbursement.

I thought about it after I left and called Jim back and said when you sold me the tires you had the tool to scan and retain TPMS sensors to proper tire location. He among other things said the only thing I could do is come in next Tues to talk to his manager. All I want is reimbursement for $19.67 per my invoice from Cadillac dealer. It would be nice to listen to customer and not humillate them infront of other customers. Sometimes customers are right.

Please respond asap. Karen Fisk

Desired outcome: Reimbursement of $19.67 as above.

Discount Tire Poor service

First of all, I have been going to Discount tire for the better part of 40 years and have service above and beyond for most of it. In the past year or so it has been going from caring for the customer and there needs to acting as though they are a big corporation that treats their customers like a commodity that will always be there no matter how they are treated. First, my best friend (who is handicapped) recently made an appointment to buy tires. When he got to his appointment, they only had 3 of the 4 tires. These tires were ordered two weeks earlier. So ok. mistakes happen. Two weeks ago, my son went in to have his tires rotated and was told they will not rotate his tires unless he buys 4 tires from them. His tires still had some tread on them but were getting weak. So okay he orders 4 new tires and makes an appointment for a week and half later. Today he gets out of work early for his appointment and guess what they only have 3 of the 4 tires and now he has to take more time off work for the new appointment.

I will tell you it is not likely I will recommend Discount Tire going forward to my family and friends. It is a shame when a company forgets its customers are the most important thing to their business.

Desired outcome: I would like an apology for the inconvenience and the cost to both my son and my best friend. The attitudes were as commission salesman that were annoyed by having to serve us. where were the phone calls to move people's appointment.

Discount Tire Exploded tire

Dear Sir/ Madam

I had a VW Jetta 2013, I bought winter tires last winter from discount tires (General Altimax 205/55/16”, I used them for only one season, I put them on again on Friday Nov.25/2022.

One of the tires exploded while driving on Nov 26, and when I went Tuesday Nov. 29 to see how much it cost me to replace it, although it has a warranty of 65000 miles at least and the car drove a max of 2000 miles. The guy was very rude, he was shouting “why should I give you a free tire” I said ok not free but I am an old customer, I bought a lot of tires for different cars.

He said you must pay $87, I paid the $87 although this should be a lot if the tire is under warranty.

This guy who unfortunately I forgot his name had an argument with a person ahead of me and he reflected what ever happened with that guy on me.

This person needs to be trained how to deal with customers, if this guy is working for me I will fire him because he is bad for the business.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon. Thank you

Note: the discount tire I am talking about is located at 17310 Evans St Omaha Ne 68116.

Best Regards

Dr Asaad Mahdi

Desired outcome: 1- i want to know how the warranty works, i paid $872- Apology from that guy who is so rude with customers.

Discount Tire Treatment from employees at store

11/22/2022 at 4:00PM

For decades I have bought tires from Discount tire. All of the times, when my vehicle was backed out of the bay, it was brought up front for me, door held open for me, and I was on my way.

Not this time! I brought it in at 4:00PM and it was driven into a back bay. I sat outside your door for a few minutes became cold and seated myself inside. I sat there until nearly 7:00 PM

When I asked about my car, I was told it had been ready for a while! When I returned home to look at my phone still attached to it's charger, I had a message my car was ready at 4:52!

I just had my 62nd birthday the day before and my handicapped plates on my car are visible to anyone around my car. I was pointed to the back of the building which was no small walk in the cold, without my cane. I am not sure why I received such disrespect and why my car was not backed out and brought up front, but I have probably purchased my last 4 tires from you!

Desired outcome: I would like an apology and those involved to be responsible for their actions.

Discount Tire Air check on tires/ customer service

Maplewood location. Had tire pressure light on a few months ago and the tire blew on the highway. A couple months later- pressure light on again and there was a leak (the 4 tires had been purchased from this location about 8 months previous). Told they would plus the leak not replace the tire. Less than a month later the pressure light was back on. I was not told why the light was on when I brought the car in- I was told that I should change out 3 of the tires because I had put a lot of miles on since I bought them less than a year earlier and the new tire ( replaced after the blow out) made the other tires ride unevenly. I r E placed the tires and now 2 months later the pressure light is on and when I took the car in at 9:30 I’m told they are busy and no one can check the tires til after 3 pm. Are you kidding? Currently at another discount tires- where they are busy but will check pressure on tires.

Desired outcome: Better customer service- like they used to have at that location

Discount Tire Bad appointment and terrible tire repair!

I had a appointment for 1:45 with Discount tires 70 Abbott Ln

Colorado Springs, CO [protected]. I arrived at 1:35 and handed my keys over to the tech. Was told 1 hour. After 1 hour I came back and noted my car was still in the same spot! I ask if it was done, and the tech said no it is going in now. 45 minutes later (1.45 hours) I got a call from the Tech and walked in the store. They said there was a problem with the rear tire leak. They stated there was, numerous "3 small" holes in the tire (Tech said 3 small holes) and they could not repair it. I was already upset with waiting for 1.45 hours. He then told me I had to replace the tire. I told him to put it back on and he said he could not, so I said PUT MY SPARE ON IT! This is not the first time I had issues with this store. They placed the tire and rim in my trunk. When I got home, I seen what they did to my tire! 2 large plugs and on the inside 2 small patches both plugs were bumps on the inside. This is an instant leak area as the plugs will move and dislodge the small patches. On the outside I seen the 2 large plugs which they had to ream the hole to make fit. Instead of using a large 3"x 3" patch to cover the "small holes" I checked, and they still sell these. They RUINED MY TIRE! Previously they told me they could not do a plug as that was illegal. But now they can do a plug? I had to replace my last set because of this reason or at least what this discount tire store told me. Now I have 3 tires with 6k on them and a pile of JUNK for a 4th tire. I cannot repair it due to the large reamed out plug holes. If they would have contacted me prior to the horrible repair, I would have informed them to stop and purchased the larger patch and repaired the tire myself. I used to repair tires and if I did this my boss would have taken the new tire out of my pay!

Desired outcome: First off if I have a appointment, HONOR IT within 15 minutes not a hour later. I made the appointment to save me time. I purchase 4 new tires at 492.80 plus taxes. This was your fault! It would not hold under normal driving.

Discount Tire Ford f 150 truck and dodge

I am a customer of discount tires since approximately 10 years ago. Few weeks ago, my sister went to:

4040 SPID

Corpus Christi, TX 78411

We had a flat on Dodge Caravan, she returned home she told me she was told by the people at Discount, that they could not install 2 bolts, and if she needed the bolts installed, she had to see a mechanic and they gave her a mechanic number they know to contact him. I told my sister go and ask for the two bolts I am a mechanic and there is nothing wrong with the rotor, or screws everything is good. Talked to a supervisor and gave her the two screws. I installed them and were good. Are they stealing from Customers? they get a percentage when they send a customer to this mechanic? Then I went to another store:

6654 S Staples St

Corpus Christi, TX 78413

[protected]

This time it was a Ford F 150- and when after I purchase tires, which are not cheap I get my 2 wheel hub cap broken and bolts missing, they did not say I am sorry, they did not apologize and handed it all broken to me. What is their big idea? Those are 20 new each, and the bolts 10 dollars they think they can steal and rip off people? Do you want me to go to the news and bring this to their attention? Do you want me to add reviews on the internet and see how many people have been treated the same way? Is that how you train your workers? Do something immediately, or I will find legal matters, two times happening to me, there is something creepy going on.

Desired outcome: No [censored] Sherlock Holmes company can't read my mind? but I am sure you can do something hiring honest people and not thieves, that is why I am writing to you.
