Discount Tire

On 4/5/23 I purchased 4 tires for my prized truck, a 2018 Ford F150 King Ranch truck for $1,178.15. Out the door in 45 minutes or so. Great! No long wait. A few days later while detailing my prized truck I noticed all four wheels were chipped around their perimeter! WTH?! I know my truck inside and out. That wasn't there previously. I immediately called the Discount Tire store responsible for this unacceptable damage in Lakewood CO, Store #COD 08. A manager offered to pay 1/2 of replacement wheels. Unacceptable! I brought them 4 perfect, flawless wheels; they returned to me 4 damaged wheels with new tires. If I want to be made whole again it will cost me approximately $2,400 + tax. Not a fair deal at all. The contact claimed it would happen to the PVD wheels regardless of who replaced the tires because of the nature of PVD. Ford dealerships and other reputable tire stores I contacted about this have never had this problem. At a minimum, I should have been told upfront PRIOR to the damage of the possibility of the chipping. Contacting other tire stores I learned that it could have been avoided. Offering me 50% on replacement wheels (that aren't exactly what I brought them) leaves me with a huge expense - over and above the expense of the tires. Replacement identical wheels from Ford are quoted at $1,207 per each. I'm a long standing customer with 3 current vehicles and many others over the years that Discount has had the pleasure of taking my money for many car tires that will come to a screeching halt if they don't bring these wheels back to the perfect condition they were in before they degraded my truck. Unacceptable! A downgraded vehicle thanks to Discount.
