Days Inn customer service or lack there of

The room was fine for my stay, tidy and all I needed but the organization is a joke!
I flew in late from Ontario, my mother had booked this stay as a gift so I could visit my sister. I called ahead knowing that I would not have my mom's credit card for incidentals (I worked the front desk at a resort for several years), and I was told that it was fine for me to use another. Not only that it said on the bottom of my confirmation email that only a VALID credit card was needed. After having to call my mum at 1am in Ontario and getting her to send photos of her ID and credit card along with a note permitting use of it - did I mention this was already PAID IN FULL WEEKS BEFORE- I returned from a long day the next night to find I had been locked out of my room because the email address they had given me to send the authorization to had not worked on their end ( it confirmed sent on my end). After taking the blame for the email not working I was given a second address which - surprise surprise- suddenly worked, although the front desk agent was unable to print it so I had to reformat it as a PDF and send it again. I was obviously a hassle for the agent, who I had to deal with both nights.
It's a shame because the Inn is so close to my sister's house and we fly over a lot and need a good place to stay consistently. I was the test subject for my family and sadly I won't be recommending we stay here although it is convenient.
Your front desk and call centre need to get on the same page.

Days Inn bad staff

My husband travels to New York a lot on company business and frequently stays at your Conneaut Ohio location if weather is bad or he gets tired during his drive.

I use to wonder why he was staying so often then I found out that one of your staff members was secretly having an affair with my husband. And they have been intimate and meeting together out of there.This just blew my mind and has caused severe problems within our marriage and children.

This place is nothing but a brothel an you need to better check your staff for there whorish needs to destroy a family. I will recommend to everyone I know that if you are married stay away from this place because it is nothing but a brothel for nasty staff members.

Days Inn writing down credit card number on a piece of paper

I went in to pay for a relative of mine and handed her my credit card and noticed she was writing something down. I asked her for the piece of paper and she become all irrate and started yelling at me. She did give me the piece of paper and she handwritten down my credit card number. I left with unbelievers that 1 she had the nerve to write my credit card number down, but to also treat me with disrespect as a customer.

Days Inn housekeeping and customer service front desk

Folio # 38883. Conf #[protected] There were two girls working the desk on 10/23 and 10/24, and they traded a name tag that said Cheniqua on it. One would wear it when she was behind the desk, and the other would wear it when she was. Returning to our room 10/24 evening, we found that one of the beds had not been made. Wet towels that should have been replaced were left. No attempt to straighten the quarters was made. When I called the front desk to advise them of this, "Cheniqua" asked me if there had been anything left on the bed that wasn't made. I told her no. Then she asked me if we had put the Do Not Disturb hanger on the outside of the front door. I told her no, and that BOTH sides of the hanger said Do Not Disturb, and since we wanted maid service we left it off. Not sure what either question had to do with anything. She then told us she could give us housekeeping, but they had already gone home. This tells me she doesn't care, period. If no contact from corporate on complaint, no more Days Inn for me and mine.

Days Inn totally not satisfied

We booked a stay at the Days Inn in Kittery ME. Unfortunately we booked for two nights. We stayed at Days Inn many times and never had a concern. however this time will most likely be our last. When we arrived there were plastic utensils left on the floor form someone else's visit. We could see them housekeeping couldn't? The trim from the head board was off left on top with the sticky glue substance running down the headboard. Lack of outlets so few we had to move everything to plug something in. The bathroom was so tiny the door hit the toilet when opened, had to slide around the side of the door to close it, oh if only it really SHUT, which it didn't! There was a totally sickening smell outside the back door, which didn't want to unlock with the key card. The room wasn't thoroughly vacuumed when we arrived and nothing was picked up after our first night. When we left to go shopping in 90 degree weather we left the air on which didn't work well in the first place. When we returned for a rest expecting a cool room we walked into and oven. Days Inn room in bad condition

Light between bed was broken---tv knob was broken off---light on wall was broken- tub knob was broken off. Had to call office 3 times to get through the night. one girl on call--She was very nice to come down all times. It was not a good night. we stop at hwy 71 and interstate 10 twice a year. First time we tried Days Inn at Marianna, florida

Days Inn rude staff at night

Actually I wanted to contact Days Inn for Complaining about the Counter Staff.
I booked to hotel from NY on 16th at 11:00 AM and gave my credit card number around 2 PM. I arrived with my family of 6 at the hotel around 11:45 PM at night for check in. The reservation software application is not showing correctly. I wanted 2 Rooms and 6 persons. 3 in each room. It did not booked correctly.

Upon arrival, the counter person one Indian guy doesn't know how to behave with customer started talking in broken English. He was arguing with me for 45 minutes. He told me that policy is 2 adults per room. I said okay I need 3 person in a room. The person said, it will be extra. I said okay how much it will be, $60 was my booking and he said $ 75. Then He gave me paper to sign. I found that one room is charged for $ 75 and another room is charged to me for $ 86. When I asked him about this, again he started arguing with me and refused to give me the room.

Please imagine that at midnight, where I am going to Shop for another hotel?

I told him whatever he wants let me sign and will write to the Days Inn Management. finally I was allotted room at 12:30 am and I left for North Carolina on Sunday Morning at 6:00 AM.

I need an answer from you and kick that guy out from Days inn for his rude behavior with me and keep waiting my family for a long time at night.

We requested a non smoking room. The room smelled of smoke immediately upon opening.There was cigarette butts and ashes in the toilette. The girl at the desk verified it. The manager Andy Patel would not come down from his room to talk to me. The girl gave us another room which had not been cleaned, there was cobwebs on the ceilings. It was a truly bad experience. I do not recommend this location to anyone.

Desk employee at days inn Skyler Lemay was smoking marijuana in the parking lot. Location was ride of building but all the way towards the main entrance door towards the front of building

The Days Inn in Niagara Falls, N.Y., was one of the most dirtiest hotels that we have ever stayed in and we are
65 years old. What a disappointment! The sheets did not stay on the beds, the furniture was filthy, and
the floors were terrible. We probably will not stay at a Days Inn ever again after this experience.

I went on Vacation with my family and we stay overnight at a Days Inn in Vineland, New Jersey. In which the days Inn room condition was deteriorated, then I asked to change room for a more expensive one and they gave me a room where the water drainage was bad too, so next day I informed the receptionist about the problem. But I decided to stay with my relatives instead. Ihope to heard from you soon. Thanks

Around June 23, 2009 I stayed at Days Inn in Oak Creek, WI and there were problems I had with my stays as far as my privacy of information was revealed to other source over the phone & a situation with a man in another room. The room was terrible, nothing like what was pictured on internet. Was booked to stay 2 nights - only stayed one night because of the room and I am simply asking for $135 to refunded for the night I did not stay

Main Days Inn web site deceptively tricked me into making aresevation that could not be cancelled. Repeated calls got no help, they refused to refund $264 charge evn though reservation was 2 weeks away. Called both motel and main office, just got the run around. They are crooks and they robbed me of $264.

We placed our order on March 23, 2008 and check was sent on 3/25/2008 and cleared on 4/3/2008. Nothind has been received so far after 5 months.I had called and emailed 5o times and every time I had given new date of delivery. Big fraud and no help, please get my money refunded and I had learned a big lesson.

I stayed in the Days Inn Niagara on Centre street May 9th 2008. When I got to the room I found trash left behind from the previous guest. I reported this to the front desk, their response was"they will speak to house keeping". Im sorry but that is not good enough! This was my birthday, also driving 2hours to find thrash in my room! I would like a refund or discount on another stay!

Hi I was their last night in Hilton ca I stop by the days inn I went inside I ask the desk clerk do they have in the parking lot was not full this was about 9pm at night the desk clerk and the other one in their language tell him it's full so I want stay there the parking lot was not full I didn't nothing wrong why did they said that I just wanted the room only one night I think they was wrong

Days Inn no housekeeping service

No housekeeping service after I have been complaint for three times in a day. Front desk had knowledge and did not do anything. Refrigerators and ac most of the times damages or have issues. Pay attention before reserve. Talk to the owner of the facility. Staff very rude and dont care.

Days Inn Took two transaction with authority

I was charged 45.71 twice when in fact I wasn't even there to hand my card to them they also charged my husband card also which was for 27-28 of January so my card should not have been charged I am being charged for 29-29 of January and I am not even there and in fact did not give my card to them to charge so they are taking money without my authorization

Days Inn manager traves sevier,

3 out of 4 nights was great, the 4 th night was bad all round, out all day and came back to the room and found it locked, went to the office and found out that the manager traves sevier and staff had went into our room, that was paid for and packed up most of our stuff and moved us to the other side of the hotel with one bed not two like I paid for,
ended up with some missing things, money and diabetes meds, the manager and I had something's to say, he telling me to make a police report for the missing things, I didn't feel welcome at this hotel and checked out and moved on with our vacation, going into a customer room that has been paid for and packing up their things, moving rooms is I think illegal and ill ethical, you shouldn't treat paying customers that way, , I will never stay at that hotel again because of that manager traves sevier... thay don't tell you anywhere that they have had black mold the pool is dirty and have been shut down because if it...

Days Inn room

Went to Gainsville Tx on labor day weekend for the PBR rodeo at Winstar casino. All hotels aroung were booked solid my family and i drove over 4 hrs to the hotel, checked in unpacked the truck, wife says lets check out room before we settle down and low in behold she is searching the bed and find bed bugs. i immediately call the front desk and she says oh i'm sorry are you gonna check out? really!
i was pissed, i even called the 1-800-days inn and she said the same thing, so we wentr to the rodeo, with no luck of finding another room we had to drive 4hrs home after the rodeo was over around 10:30pm, no a happy camper i was never again will i stay at a days inn or recommend days inn to anyone if thats the way they are gonna treat customers...

Days Inn rude male front desk

I booked this hotel through Agoda.com and was an early booker to get better price. I also received a booking confirmation number that stated my booking was non-refundable. I received e-mail from Booking.com on the same day (March 04) saying my credit card payment could not be processed. As I booked through Agoda.com and did not receive any e-mail from them, and why was Booking.com the one that e-mailed me, resulting me to consider Booking.com e-mail as a spam e-mail. Till recently (2 days before my trip (March 19), I received an e-mail from Agoda.com that my booking was cancelled due to no response to their email (whose e-mail? ) regarding credit card payment couldn't be processed, and I needed to contact the hotel if I had any questions. I was curious of why booking was not honored and at very near time to my trip as well to get it re-booked. I called at 8.15 pm on March 19 and was received by a gentle lady front desk agent and was directed to another very rude male Front Desk that needs to learn and be trained on how to provide better quality customer service. I was asking why my booking was not honoured and he asked what my name was and I said my name and as my first and last name the same, he asked if it was true. I said "yes" and he changed the reason of my cancellation was not because of the credit card payment can't be processed but because I did not provide my address. I have been booking so many hotels from either Agoda.com, Tripadvisor, Expedia, and many more better deal website, and I always followed the booking procedure and that was how I managed to get my booking confirmation numbers. So this problem of not providing the address and using it as an excuse to not honour the booking and not only that, he told me it was not his problem as I did not book from the hotel and I needed to contact booking.com. Once again I clarified, I made the booking from Agoda.com. Then he said, they were the same company. How would I know, they were from the same company? And also i wanted to retrieve back my booking and he said, it would be impossible with the same rate I booked before and I needed to make a new booking. he used the " kick the ball" strategy to avoid providing me with better solution as I protested that It wasn't my fault but he wouldn't listen and kept blaming on me for not giving respond within the time-frame. If I may ask, why not the hotel contacted me directly for confirmation instead of Booking.com? Why can't he as the customer service try to resolve my matter knowing that it was not my fault not to provide address when booking as it wasn't asked when I made the booking? What is the different to wait till I arrive to check in and request to provide my ID and address or contact me directly to my phone? How does Days Inn management train their staff? Is this what you called a customer service using "kick the ball" strategy? Due to this bad experience, I reminded everyone not to book at this hotel and beware of the customer service you will receive. I, myself, will not book this hotel anymore. I made a protest to Agoda.com and they are willing to rebook for me for this hotel but I refused and had already booked another better quality service hotel. They offered solution. As a hotel associate, try to learn from other hospitality company. Good luck with anyone who choose this bad service hotel. This male Front desk needed to be sent back to the hospitality school to increase his performance or this hotel will lose more and more guests and had a bad reputation. in may of this year, on are way to florida, my wife and i, stoped at a days inn, fpr overnight stay. when we left in the morning, we forgot, our pillow and pillow case. i remembered in south carolina. i went to a days inn and got the phone no, of the place we stayed in. we called and informed, the girl working, the day shift, that we left the pillow in the room. i was about 150 miles away at that time, and she stated she would put it in plastic bag behind the desk... we stopped on the back home, when we arrived there, the person behind the stated that no pillow was turned in . the my wife talked to apparenly, quit the day before. i believe that any thing left in a room, should be turned in. we have been staying in days inn's since 1972.

Days Inn Harrasment , bullying

I am being harassed and mentally abused by group of people led my owner of Days inn horsham Pennsylvania ! To my horror the hotel industry rules united states! And if hotel owner get mad he can wreck the life of ordinary people like me! Kindly help!

Because of prolong stalking, harassment and bullying by this group of people lead by Mr Gary Williams i am going through trauma, getting sick every second day! To my dismay they can use local cops in there favor! So there is absolutely no hope for normal life for me!

My computer and phone both hacked! My personal details shared publicly! All my emails and accounts are hacked ! with hotel employee monitoring my computer! he even got them moved in same apartment i live in!

I hope this forum will help!

Days Inn Altamonte Springs FL Spies on Guests! First and foremost, the Days Inn Altamonte Springs FL is badly in need of renovation. The Days Inn Altamonte Springs FL pictures on the Trip Advisor page were quite dated. The Days Inn Altamonte Springs FL lobby, pool area and parking lot were dirty and not well maintained. The Days Inn Altamonte Springs FL hallways were not well lit and had numerous burned out light bulbs.

The Days Inn Altamonte Springs FL seemed to cater to drug dealers, prostitutes and those bordering on homeless.

I would never stay here with my family but ended up staying at Days Inn Altamonte Springs FL because all I needed was a place to crash at night while attending class during the day. Priceline does not offer a money-back guarantee on cancelled reservations.

My Days Inn Altamonte Springs FL room constantly smelled like Lysol. I wasn't sure whether they piped it through or sprayed when I wasn't around although I kept the "Do Not Disturb" sign on my door my entire stay. The one positive point about the room was the very hot water in the shower. I enjoy taking hot showers.

The Days Inn Altamonte Springs FL free breakfast was nothing to rave about. Bagged muffins from Costco, Folger's coffee, boxed cereal, apples and a waffle maker. Only did breakfast once - starved the rest of the week.

Made the mistake once - won't do it again. Although staying here was much cheaper than where everyone else was in my class, sleeping in my car would have been safer...Days Inn Altamonte Springs FL

Days Inn disgusting

This place is disgusting. There was a dirty bandaid in our bed. The carpet was black. the water in the faucets was brown. The wallpaper was peeling off the wall. The back of the bathroom door was disgusting. The hotel smelled like mildew. There were buckets in hallways with water dropping in them from the celing. After the first night housekeeping came in and only made one bed. There were no towels no toilet paper no remote and no coffee pot in the room. I have 2 kids and we ended up leaving and sleeping on our friends floor. I am reporting this hotel to the state of Michigan it should be shut down. Absolutely disgusting.

Days Inn fraudulent advertising

Made reservations on line after browsing internet thru Discoverourtown.com - WHICH INCLUDED $5.99 non -refundable fee. Booked room for four adults (two of which are 18 year olds) for June 16 - June 17th. Billed $88.29 plus the $5.99. Once in Grenada, the locals mentioned that that hotel had burned down and wasn't anything. Therefore, we left Grenada Lake during a family reunion to go check in or rather check it out. When we arrived we inquired. We specified when reserving that we wanted a pool, etc. This hotel advertised that it had indoor pool, sauna, hot tub, restaurant, lounge, hot breakfast, game room, etc. We thought that would be great since we had teenagers with us. Needless to say - when we arrived it had none of the amenities advertised. The man working there was nice and said he would not bill us. HOwever, we still then had to find a hotle and since Grenada is a travel thru town - it is booked the majority of the time. Luckily we were able to find something. However, I had to pay a $5.99 fee to the reservation company and the stress of not knowling if we would have a hotel. It was ridiculous. This is fraudulent advertising at its best. I would like compensation for the time and stress including a refund for the $5.99 fee.

Days Inn horrible service and room conditions

I stayed there recently because my young son had a ball tournament in Jackson. I will never make the mistake of staying at this hotel again! Our room and bathroom was dirty. The bedspreads were dirty, and they only provided us less than 1/2 a roll of toilet paper for the entire room. Oh and it got much worse.My youngest son opened up the bottom drawer to the dresser and screamed for me to come look. The dresser drawer was filled with tons of porn dvds and magazines! I immediately went to speak to the person on duty working at the front desk and it really didn't seem to bother him at all.I have never been so mad!The man working said the cleaning staff doesn't always check the drawers cause most people don't use them. I let him know how upset I was about the room. He didn't offer any suggestions or help, he laughed it off and actually told me that he knew who had been in the room before us. And he said he would ask them to take their things from the room next time. It really makes me wonder if anyone had cleaned it at all. Gross! Then while we had breakfast down stairs which only included bread products and some fruit. While watching the workers from the taco bell next door come in the hotel lobby and load up plates of waffles and take them back to taco bell for their own breakfast. Here is where it gets even worse. While we were at breakfast, the guy behind the counter sends someone else from the hotel staff up to my room with out my permission or me even knowing it, and has them remove the porn from the bottom dresser drawer. Which needed to be removed. But certainly not with out me authorizing them to enter my room without me knowing. When I got back to the room I realized someone had been in the room while we were at breakfast and called down to the desk and once again I told them what I though about it. I wasn't happy at all. I honestly think all that garbage belonged to someone who works there & they were just trying to cover their tracks. I will never stay there again and will make sure all the hundreds of people who we personally know that travel to Jackson on business and for tournaments are aware of the problems at this particular Days Inn.

We actually go to the hotel real late that night, went strait to sleep. So it wasn't until the next morning that we noticed all the things wrong in the room. Had I noticed the night before we wouldn't have stayed. Only bread products, I meant no meat, no eggs etc.. Nope they never brought toilet paper, after they said they would send some up. I had to go find a cleaning cart in the hall way and get it myself.

I also forgot to mention that there was no soap, and no shampoo, but they did leave us with 2 USED half empty bottles of conditioner. Our friends stayed in the room next door to us and they had similar things in their room. Their shower spit out brown slimy dirt when they turned it on and there was brown gunk in the bath tub too. There is also a night club across the parking lot from this hotel and it kept us up most of the night and when the club closed down for the evening all the drunks came to the hotel because they used the hotels parking lot to park in.

1. Extremely bad, musty odor.
2. Visible mold in bathroom.
3. Clock/alarm totally non-functioning.
4. No dial tone/phone service.
5. No wake-up call available.
6. Therefore, no breakfast.
7. No shower--nasty with mold.
8. Only "6" ice cubes came out of ice machine.
9. No extra blanket.
10. Kleenex dispenser rusted and broken.
11. No room directory for TV, refrigerator settings, local info, etc.

False advertising, no upgrade rooms. Booked one and told that they started a couple years ago but never finished. Curtains falling down. Toilet loose from floor. White goo on bedspread. Mold in bathroom. Carpets filthy. Rooms smell musty. Staff rude. Can't believe days inn lets them have their name on it. Don't stay there.

I'm confused. The breakfast had some bread products and fruit but people are loading up on waffles?
You wanted the tons of porn that made your child scream removed. Perhaps they sent housekeeping who usually comes into the room without your permission. Did they leave you a full roll of toilet paper?
And not the dreaded " I will tell hundreds of my friends".

Days Inn misinformed and called a liar

2/19/2012 - Called and spoke w/ Jess (allegedly a reservations specialist). Booked room with 2 queen beds. Was told that there was a 48 hr. cancellation policy. Card would not be charged until I arrive.
*Looked online after reservation was made and found 1 queen bed to be cheaper.
2/20/2012 - Called and spoke w/Sam (again, a reservations specialist). Changed reservation for room w/ 1 queen bed instead of the 2 queens originally booked for.
2/22/2012 - Called to cancel my reservation as 1)I got called into work and 2)we were supposed to be getting significant snow over that weekend.
Tony told me he couldn't cancel since it was after 4pm (check-in time) and no longer 48 hours in advance to cancel. After going around and around with him, I was dissatisfied and asked for a corporate number, which, he refused to give. Went online and found the number.
2/22/2012 - Called Customer Care to make a complaint. Was told the info would be given to manager at hotel and would hear back by 2/26/2012.
2/27/2012 - Called customer care once again because the manager did not return my call to address the issue. Re-explained situation (which was noted wrong in my case)
2/28/2012 - Finally a call from hotel and guess who it was? The same unprofessional manager I had problems with. I was also accused a liar and he interrupted me throughout the entire conversation and hung up saying "Have a good night ma'am)
2/28/2012 - Called customer care back again and spoke with Chelsea. Now I am told I will get a call in what she "guessed" would be 48 hours depending on the "case load".
If everyone else has had experiences like this, it could be a month before I hear anything back. I will NEVER stay at a Days Inn again - would rather sleep on the streets in my car than deal with this nightmare.

Dear Ms. Meghan,
You were charged for No-Show for one night as per hotel policy. As you said, you were aware of the cancellation policy. Then why did you call after the cancellation policy had expired? Why didn't you choose to cancel before cancellation policy? We would have no problem cancelling your reservation within your cancellation period for any reason.

As for lower rate goes, we are running a special on our web site at www.daysinn.com/hotel/05415. If you had chosen one of the promotion, then we would have reserved at that. We have 20% discount for advanced purchase. If you had taken that deal you would have been charged for all of they nights you booked for when you made the reservation. You would have had to pay for all 3 nights you booked even if you could not make it to the hotel. If you read the agreement then you would have known.

I have did the research on your reservation and you were changed from a room with 2 queen bed into room with 1 queen bed as per your request and you were charged for one night no-show for room with 1 queen bed.

We have talked you several times. Explained to you several time with proof via several agencies you complaint to. No-Show fees are charged at all hotels. This is not just our rule but a hotel industry standard since we save that room for you and not sell it to someone else maybe looking for rooms.

If you had contacted us directly and listened to us, we would have tried to work with you. You wouldn't have to call every agency including days inn corporate and hear the same thing over and over. We like to have you back as guest in the future. If there is anything we can do, call and talk to us directly.

If you would like more rules and regulation, you may want to look into hotel's standard rules for all hotels. As for our hotel rules, we have explained everything you needed. Please feel free to contact us directly at [protected] if you have any further question.

Days Inn vindictive cover-up

I made a noise complaint on a Friday at 7am regarding 6am noice above my room. The noise was actually worse on Sat night, so I made another noise complaint (same room & customer) at 1am. The employee refused to act on my complaint so I called the police, who arrived more than an hour later. The employee lied to the police about my involvement, so they were skeptical and did not act. The noise ended at 6am. The corp headquarters refused to work with the manager on a refund (I had paid for a month). Adding insult to injury, the local manager had even slandered me--lying to his company about "several incidents involving profanity" regarding me. So, none of my noise complaints were acted on, and the manager turns on me for calling the police, with "customer service" unwilling to intervene. Beyond unethical: aggressive.
