Dan Murphy's review: $5 theft on purchase yesterday

I have just returned from Dan Murphy’s Wentworthville. I was there to complain about an overcharge of $5 on a bottle of Villa Maria Sauv Bl for which I was charged $20.99 instead of $15.95 as the label in the shop indicated I should be charged. The $20.99 happened to be exactly the same charge as the next charge on my ticket, for a Kirin Ichban 6-pack. The male cashier heard my complain, viewed the receipt I showed him and asked me to wait at the side of the cash register whilst he attended to other customers. After a while, it became very clear that he wasn’t interested in resolving the matter, so I told him not to worry about it, I will donate $5 to Dan Murphy but never come back to purchase anything again. So, whilst Dan Murphy has dishonestly obtained $5 from me, that small advantage has to be weighed up against the thousands of Dollars in future purchases from me and my numerous family in Sydney, whom I will tell about my experience, of course. I will also inform the Ombudsman that I was overcarged by Dan Murphy and a refund was refused.
