Costco tires

I purchased and had Costco Wilmington NC store install 4 tires. When they were finished one of the Costco technicians handed me several pages of paperwork. He did not say anything about potential concerns. The next day I read the paperwork and was surprised to see a note: "stripped stud - right front wheel position". I checked the vehicle and there was a missing lug nut from the front right wheel. I called the store and the tire dept manager could not explain why nothing was said at checkout. He said it was not a safety concern, a lot or people drive around with missing lug nuts. When I asked for my lug nut he said he didn't know why it wasn't given to me but he'd find either one that matched it or something close if I came be the store. Google "missing lug nut" to see what professional mechanics think about a missing lug nut.

Costco discourteous unprofessional employee

I went to Costco in Lakewood, CA on 12/04/2018 and ordered 2 tires. I received a call from the Costco Service center today, 12/05/2018, informing me that my tires had arrived. I informed the very nice employee that I did not get off work until 5:00PM and would arrive before 6:00PM to have my tires put on my car. I arrived at 5:50PM, having been slowed a bit due to rainfall. When I informed the employee at check-in why I was there, she (Jessie) stated that they could not put my new tires on my vehicle because they had a huge workload. I first asked why had I been told over the phone that it was ok to bring my car and why had I not been called if there was a problem. When I inquired about an appointment, Jessie informed me that she was booking appointments for next week. I told Jessie that my tires are bad and I am fearful of an accident, especially with the rain. I then offered to come on the weekend but after considering the matter further, I called Administration who patched me through to someone named Tristan, whom I assume was/is the automotive Department Manager . Tristan was courteous and professional from start to finish and apologized for the error and said that they would service my vehicle today. When I went back inside and approached the counter to check in, Jessie did not greet me nor actually look at me but instead while walking away said, "I need your membership card and receipt." By this time she had become, rude, unprofessional and seriously discourteous. Even after Tristan had stated that they would service my car, Jessie kept saying "like I told you we have lots of cars and your car won't be ready until between 8:30-9:00PM since we have to stay over to do your car." Tristan called me at 8:00PM to let me know my car was ready. I was in the mall next door and he said take your time but of course I immediately went to get my car, arriving in less than 5 minutes from the time Tristan had initiated the call to me.
When I walked in the service department, Jessie did not greet me as a customer but rather leaned over and pushed papers towards me and told me to "go to the shop and they will give me my car." I said thank you and goodnight to which there was no response or acknowledgement. The room was quiet and we were less than 5 feet apart so I'm reasonably certain she heard me . I went to the shop where I was met by Tristan who was very courteous, offering a thank you and goodnight. I have never been treated so rudely by anyone at Costco until today. Had I been rude towards her, maybe I would be more understanding but that was not the case. I was not rude to the Administration employee nor Tristan nor Jessie. I'm sorry she got upset because I would not allow her to put me off and jeopardize my safety by having me ride around on bald tires. Perhaps Jessie needs to be reminded of what it means to provide exceptional "Customer Service."

If your tires were that bad and you were that fearful of an accident, they why did you let them get in such bad shape and wait so long to begin with... to replace them?

Costco paper white bulbs

I placed a double order of Paper White Bulbs in early October. These were to be forced for an event. They are absolutely no good. Spindly, difficult to emerge, and look horrible, of the 120 bulbs I purchased maybe half have emerged with multiple shoots and very few buds. They have been growing (trying to grow), for more than six weeks. Not worth purchasing.

My member number is [protected]. I would like to request a 50% refund since I have given some away, to my embarrassment.

Costco returns services

A woman (along with the supervisor) working at the returns services after 3 pm on 11/27/18 constantly questioned me, making me out to be a thief for having a Costco cash card. They bombarded me with questions about where I received the card, despite me already answering them. I rightfully have the card, and there should be no problem with me using it.
I would highly appreciate it if these women are retrained or at the very least, given a heavy talk about what it means to respect the customer and their privacy. They should not be making customers feel beyond uncomfortable like I was.

Costco product packaging

You use too much plastic in your packaging. I have been a Costco member since 1996 both through my business and as a family. Over those years you have gone to more ridiculous heavy plastic packaging that not only is environmentally destructive, but is also a health and safety hazard. I have cut my hands on the sharp plastic edges of the shrink-type plastic packaging a number of times, each time left me with a wound that required bandaging. I have complained before but was told you have to do this kind of packaging to avoid theft. I can imagine that as an issue for very small items but not for large items like ratchet straps or lithium ion jump starters. Besides, I can't imagine anyone getting out the heavily guarded doors with bulky items.

I hope you will consider becoming more environmentally aware and customer safety conscious with respect to your packaging. In the 22 years I have been your customer I have seen the attitude of the company drift from one of customer conscious and environmentally friendly, to less so on both accounts. I have gone from buying more than $2000 per month for my business as an Executive Member, to less than $400 per month, and I gave up my Exec Membership because I am not as drawn to Costco any more, due to what I see as a move away from awareness and customer consciousness. I hope you will consider switching from high plastic packaging use to something more friendly.

I also am frustrated that I am unable to find men's Jockey briefs in any size but S and M (no pun intended) and occasionally L, but never in XL. It is hard to imagine that most of your male customers are so trim, or that they are all X-L and wipe you out before you can sell tens of dozens of S and M's.

Costco customer service - live chat

I was trying to tracking down a dropship order for 6 cases of copy paper from Costco that I haven't received in over a 2 weeks now. During the live chat, the customer service rep told me that I needed to call the manufacturer and find the status of this order. I replied by stating that the order with placed with COSTCO and not the paper manufacturer and the rep proceeded to disconnect without further correspondence. I am rather surprised at this action and it was totally uncalled for.

Costco tire dept

I had 4 brand new Michelin LTX-Ms2 tires installed on my 2012 Chevy Avalanche Friday Nov.23, 2018. I was told 1 1/2 hrs but it took 3 hrs because I was told " Bigger" tires take longer to balance. I drove directly him (4.6miles). Saturday morning notice Left Rear tire is completely Flat! Called AAA... Technician came to my home... inflates tire & discovered air was escaping from around tire stem Rapidly! Quickly drove Back to Costco & technician had me wait about a half hour then took my truck into first open bay. It took another 1/2 hr to "GLUE" stem. I didn't drive again until 3pm Sun Nov25th... I worked a "16" hr grueling shift in the Emergency Room only to come out of work to yet Another FLAT tire! Called AAA Again! This time was told it was a "SLOW" leak. Drove 31 miles Scared to death the tire would explode BACK to Costco. I arrived approximately 9:15am Nov.26th. There was ONE customer sitting there and ONE vehicle in the bay. I was told by Manager it would be a 2 1/2 hour wait! I asked him WHY my vehicle didn't take presidence since this was my 3rd trip in 4 days? He said " that's what it is". I can NOT sit there again! Very Disappointed with the " MANAGER"! All I wanted was to feel SAFE in my vehicle and Especially while driving my children! I can't find anyone to Help and I feel VERY taken advantage of... I am SO exhausted and I just KNOW when I wake up later I'll have to deal with a constant leaking tire! Who Can Help? Please?

Costco proctor and gamble spend 100, receive $25 gift card to costco

I submitted this almost a month ago and have now received an email saying that my submission was a duplicate and it was not! I called the customer service number they listed on email and the lady I spoke with confirmed they only showed one submission so she was going to resubmit it and see what happens. In the future, I do not recommend that you provide a promotion like this by mail. If you can't give the $25 gift card on the spot with my purchase like other companies such as target do, then I think it is too frustrating to deal with mail in rebates. Normally, I don't fall for this type of gimmick in any other setting, but I trusted Costco and felt I would not get the run-around that most mail-in rebate offers entail...I was wrong.

Costco Purchasing of litter purrfect

I have been using Litter Puurfect near 13 years for my cats and Costco, you are the only provider in the whole of UK.
What negotiations need to be made after all these years?
It sounds ridiculous. You can see from the reviews, that the decisions on your contract dealings are affecting your customers and the pets?
Cats, like people can be very peculiar and feel the need for certain things, and as you can see, in this instance, it is Litter Puurfect.
Bring it back please!

Costco tire service

My father made a purchase of tires for my ford f150 2003 model. We also told them that i have off market rims with a tire size of 285/75 r16. The associate did not even bother to take a look at my current tires and my rims so they special ordered the original stock size. I go for my walk ins and my appointment and i still dont get the tires switched because of the rims despite making the refunded discounted special order to the size to fit the rims. The person i needed to see recommeded by my family on the day i needed to get put on wasnt even there that day either. After being told they cant put the tires the associates still didnt give me any reaasurance of assistance, not even offering to look into ordering rims as a packaged deal. I dont feel like just money is getting wasted but time as well. I'm a student, plus i work. It all could have been prevented if we were listened to the first time and had a look before making the sale. I shouldn't have to take off from my classes and my work time to recieve this treatment. So something better get worked out because this [censored] needs to stop and nobody has time for it.

Costco Rude, hipaa law-breaking pharmacist

I just moved to the area and went into Costco to have my prescription transferred from the Hillsboro, Oregon Costco, to the Vancouver, Washington Costco. They didn't have the medication in stock, so had to order it. My Hillsboro, Oregon pharmacists had put notes in my chart to order the medication from Aurobino, because the Glenmark company is six-times more expensive ($106.50 vs $665.50). The Hillsboro pharmacist matched the $106.50 on that refill. Since we moved, and I had a migraine, my husband went to the Vancouver, Washington Costco to pick up the prescription for me (which he doesn't usually do) and instead of being $106.50, it was going to be $147.50. He tried to find out why, and Brent, the pharmacist was rude, condescending, loud (so everyone in the area could hear him practically yelling at my husband that that was the cost, they are the cheapest in the area and he didn't care what another Costco pharmacist had done in the past)...etc. My husband walked away without the prescription since it was a different cost than I told him it should be. Later that day, I felt a bit better and went into Costco to see if I could find out what the issue was. I took my last two Hillsboro Costco receipts and prescription documentation in to help with my explanation. When I asked about my prescription, Brent, the pharmacist (who was gone for the day) had put it back on the shelf to sell to other people. Thankfully no one had come in to fill a prescription for that and they were able to pull it as I explained the situation. They said Brent was the only one who could price match the prescription and I'd have to come back the next day. So today (4th trip in for this prescription), I went in, explained the situation to Brent (who lied and said my husband told him he didn't want the prescription; my husband NEVER said that!) Brent was condescending with me, loud, talked over my head, rarely looked me in the eye, diss-compassionate, prideful, and said Costco pharmacist can not over ride the cost or price match...yet the Hillsboro pharmacist had done that for me on the last refill. I went ahead and paid the $147.50, because I need the prescription for migraines, but will not recommend that pharmacy to anyone! There is NO reason a person should be treated that way...even if the pharmacist won't price match, being compassion, giving a respectful explanation, and understanding go a LONG way. Brent was very unprofessional, and he broke HIPPA privacy laws with his loud speaking/yelling so everyone could hear. I would hope Costco will deal with this so no one else has to go through this!

Costco costco employee

I was looking into membership at the Costco in North Riverside IL and was speaking to Angie. I asked About how much it cost and she told me right off the reason the membership cost $60 was because of Donald Trump. I did not ask for a political view and also I do my homework before joining any store location. I don't appreciate this as the real reason is the competitive prices and this really is not her place to tell anyone about politics especially when not asked.
I am currently with Sam's Club and maybe I should stay with them.
I hope someone will let her know this is not acceptable and to do her homework before telling potential customers lies.

Costco trail mix

For many years Kirkland trail mix has be a good product at a good price. Lately it's been dissatisfying. I bought one.. it wasn't as good as usual.. bought another recently and its awful. All m&m's and peanuts. Maybe a handful in total of almonds cashews and raisins.. very disappointing. If I wanted peanuts and candy I'd have bought just that. Costco charges a yearly fee leading members to believe they'll get recurring quality.. in this instance that is NOT the case..Costco should not skimp on things to save a buck. As members we pay the fee for deserving quality and standards.

Costco service

Nov 2, 2018 around 1:00pm N Decatur Warehouse
Our cashier Anissia provided my grandmother and I one of the most worse experience ever at Costco. I'm not sure if it was due to a bad day but it could of been handled a lot better. When told the total amount I asked our cashier if we could do cash and card. Split down the middle. She asked so what do you want. I then repeated can we do half of our bill in cash and the rest in card. She then repeated so what is that. I told her I am not sure because usually when I ask this request other cashier do it. So she gave me a very loud sigh that she was very unhappy about this. My grandma then interjected saying just pay it all on the card. I told her no and decided to offer the lady a solution and told her I will check the difference on my phone, I then told her can we do $55 in cash the rest in card. And put my phone away. She then replied not very nicely so what is that on credit I told her I'm not sure would you not be able to just deduct the cash from the total and charge the rest on card. She then sighed again. And I decided to go back to my phone and look up the total when she interjected and figured the total of herself. Later when handling my cash she tells me she would've had to take out her phone to get the difference for me, no apology for her behavior. Which rubbed me the wrong way.Maybe she was having a bad day but the situation could've been handled better. The store was only open for 3hrs when the incident happened so who knows. But she could have responded from the beginning she doesn't have the capability to get the difference for me and I would've been more then willing to help. Instead she responded in a very immature way that could've been avoided.

Costco cashier

My family and myself went to Costco in Mayfied Heights, and the cashier, which looked new, gave my family a hard time about our payment method. We have been executive members of Costco for over 6 years, and have never had a cashier talked to us the way this Costco employee did. Her OP# 813 and name was Anita M. The date is 11/02/2018. The time this incident happened was at 3:30 p.m. We have always used one member card to pay for our products. And the cashier gave us an hassle about paying with a different debit card. Please teach your employees how to interact with their customers. I will go out my way to visit Avon Costco from now on. I know I will get the respect I deserve as a customer.

Costco tire repair service

I dropped off my vehicle for a tire repair. My drivers side rear tire was flat and had a nail in it, needing repair. Christopher looked at tire and said it's repairable and should take about 2 hours to fix. I dropped off vehicle at 12:14pm. I go down street to a restaurant to wait the two hours for my tire repair to finish. I was told I would be contacted when car is ready for pickup. I don't get a call and around 4:00 pm I call and ask about my vehicle and when it'll be ready. I am informed that they pulled out the nail and there is no need for repair. I communicated that when I went to car this morning the rear drivers side tire was flat and that I think they are overlooking the repair and if they can look at it again. In addition I informed the person I did not get a call from them and he responds saying he tried calling me an hour earlier but I would answer. I asked if he left a voicemail and he said no he did not leave a voicemail. I checked my call log and there was no missed call from anyone, let alone Costco tire center. No voicemails either. I get a callback informing me that they indeed found a new nail and it was deeper in the tire and unrepairable. They did not mention anything about it being in another tire so I imagined that they were talking about the one tire I came in for repair. They inform me that I get a refund because they cannot fix tire. I arrive at the Costco tire center and first try to negotiate a new tire which they tell me they cannot negotiate anything. He says if I want they can install my spare if I have one. I say okay and inform them I just have to empty out my trunk to get the spare. I pull my car up to the front of garage but I don't pull into garage. I get out and an employee pulls my vehicle into the garage. He starts to take off the tire on the passenger side and I inform him it's actually the drivers side tire. He then says it's been a long day. He goes to drivers side and starts to take off the front drivers side tire and I inform him that it was the rear tire that was flat not the front. He responds saying the tires were rotated and that he is not going to rotate them again. I look at my rear tire and inform him that the tire weren't rotated and I know that for sure because the Goodyear tires were on the back when I dropped off vehicle for repair and they are still on back now. He again insisted that they did a tire rotation and at this point I start to think I'm being lied to and insulted because I know with 100% no doubt in my mind that the Goodyear tires were on back not front and that's the whole reason I asked for tires to be rotated to begin with when I dropped off vehicle. Xavier responds with "I am trying to be nice, so let's keep it that way". I let him know that I'm positive beyond doubt that the tires weren't rotated because the Goodyear's were on back when I dropped car off and they are still on back so there is no way they were rotated. He then starts to get condescending and confrontational in a very passive aggressive way. He keeps saying how he has had a long day and how he told me over the phone that I had two tires with nails in them. I was never told over the phone about two tires having nails in them. His remarks were very passive aggressive and I could see he was very frustrated. I tried to lever with him by saying, sir I work long hard days too and I have a wife and children so I get it. He responds by saying, " I didn't ask you about that". I tried to calmly talk to this person Xavier but he was clearly irritated with me. He called a supervisor as I heard him asking for one over the phone. I was not yelling at this man, or creating any kind of scene. I was simply questioning why I was being told tired were rotated when in fact they weren't. In addition I was questioning why the front tire was having spare put on when I came in for rear drivers side tire to be repaired. He tells me I can put my stuff in the car and essentially ignored everything I was asking of him. Super terrible customer service with zero professionalism and no communication skills at all. They shut the bay doors and I am sitting out from taking notes so I can file a complaint. I see the manager Dave and say "excuse me sir". He defensively says yea what's up! I ask if he is manager and he says yes. Before I can even explain myself he says well my guy told my you were rude and you've been drinking and had bad behavior. I responded calmly but firmly by asking who I can speak with that is a manager and how I can escalate this complaint. He ignores that request and asked what I'm bothered about. I asked him again for a name of number of how I can escalate the situation to a superior and he again ignores me asking what the problem is and telling me he is the manager and he will be the one to speak with. I start to explain to him the issue and he responds with telling me they rotated my tires and I'm all upset and having bad behavior and that I've been drinking and his guy had to call him. I informed him that I had been waiting since 1 pm or before that and I was told my tire repair wouldn't be an issue. I told him how my tires weren't rotated and I was being lied to and he responds that I wasn't being lied to. I told him I am being lied to because I have pictures of my car and I know for a fact the Goodyear tires are still on the back where they were when I dropped of vehicle. In addition I was talking calmly but in a concerned manner to Xavier but I did not raise my voice, did not use any profanity and did not act the way he was describing. In addition I called him out on trying to call me out on the fact I had been drinking. I've been waiting at a restaurant for 5 hours because they couldn't call me or notify me. Further more I intentionally brought my car here but had I know this was going to happen I wouldn't skipped Costco and taken car to a different tire shop and gotten a cheap tire. Now I have my spare on which I didn't want that's why I came to Costco and in addition it's on the front when it was the rear tire that went flat. The rear Goodyear tire went flat, not the front different named tire. We go back and fourth for a little while and after he sees how serious I am he starts to maybe understand that I wasn't being belligerent are unreasonable with him employee Xavier and that just maybe Xavier lacked the people skills to deal with me.
After this awful situation, being humiliated by a front line employee and then a supervisor I won't be returning to this Costco and possibly any Costco. The fact that they felt comfortable enough to call me out and say well you were rude and you've been drinking is beyond unprofessional. The truth is I had two beers at the restaurant. I've been there since 1pm and now it's past 6pm. That doesn't constitute for being drunk and trying to humiliate because you smelled alcohol is just plain wrong. How about they answer the questions about my car I am asking and do the right thing instead of dodge responsibility. Dave did inform me that the tires weren't rotated because the best tires stay on the back. I was never informed of that, I was told the tires were rotated. There is no way around it, they lied to me. You can twist it however you want but a lie is a lie. They should have been honest and said the tires weren't rotated because the best ones go on back and they were already on the back. Instead they lied, so I am guessing maybe some sort of miscommunication between the employees and maybe Xavier that they truly were rotated because he didn't do the work. Either way he was completely unprofessional in his dealing with me and the fact that he calls a supervisor and tries to turn it on my blaming me for drinking, insinuating I'm drunk or something just lost you a customer. If I could have forcated this treatment I would have saved myself the hassle and gone to a small tire shop. The last thing I want to say is the rear Goodyear is the one that went flat. That's not the tire that was switched out for the spare. I'm going to be extremely disappointed if I wake up and my rear tire is flat but the tire sitting in my back seat is still full of air. That will again prove my point that the tore that really needed changing was neglected and causing me extra time when I'm on my way to work. This may all seem like a big nothing to Costco however you have a serious integrity issue on your hands. You've got employees doing their job wrong, humiliating customers the. Calling supervisors and not taking responsibility for anything. Acting as if they didn't do or say anything to escalate a situation that could of easily been de escalated by simply explaining that the tires were rotated because the best ones are on the back. Furthermore when he says we told you there were two tires with nails in them and I respond that I was never informed of two tires having nails, he should of believed me and at that point explained that sorry for the misunderstanding but I have two tires with nails in them. None of this was explained and when I tried to inquire I was insulted because I had a beer or two while waiting for 5 hours to get a tire repair. So unprofessional, mean and nasty that I'm willing to take the time out of my Sunday evening to write this email. I'm not intoxicated, I wasn't acting belligerent, I did not yell, raise my voice, name call or act in anyway that could cause this reaction. I want to speak with a general manager over the phone so I can provide my side and give full details. If I am not allowed to share my experience then I most certainly will not be returning to Costco and I just paid to renewed my membership last month but I'm willing to not shop here any longer after the hassle I was put through. There was definitely lies and mistakes made on the employees part and I would appreciate some sort of responsibility and accountability from Costco. Thank you for taking the time to read my email.
Kind Regards,

Costco foster farm chicken thighs with bone

To whom it may concern,

I love Costco, the deals it provides for customers, as well as the wages and benefits it provides to its employees. I usually have zero complaints, however I wanted to bring up one issue that arose today. A pack of Foster Farm chicken thighs with bones had a cut in the bag, resulting in chicken blood and juice getting all over my car, my clothes when I removed the box it was in from the car, as well as all of the products packed in the same box.

I am writing to ask that you please be conscientious about the food safety of you product packaging. As Salmonella is prevalent in poultry products, it is a health hazard to have the juices leaking. Furthermore, it creates a time-consuming mess for costumers to deal with.

Thank you for taking the time to read this comment.

Best,
Chris Knight

Costco employee/service

I've been going to the Costco I'm Edison, NJ for years and have never had such negative and disturbing experience. As I was unloading my cart and trying to help the cashier and helper, the helper "Pauline" said something about loading the items. I didn't really hear her or knew she was talking to me so I continued to unload the smaller items from the cart. However, it was then when I heard her question and make the comment "what you don't know English". I asked her "what was that again" and then she decided to ignore me. As somebody from a Latina/o background this was a very disturbing and frustrating experience and things to hear. I spoke to one of the managers regarding this incident and hope that this employee gains a little more training and knowledge about cultural sensitivity and respect.
