I went to the store in Commerce Michigan. Both doors were open and everyone started filing in, I made the mistake because the door was open I went into the door where the counter was to get an exchange I have gone to the counter before, and had the women at the entrance been polite I would have simply gone around to the other side. She was horrible, said you can't come in here this door is broken. I said I just have an exchange, she then said " I don't care you have to go over there I said I didn't realize that, she said if you would have looked there is a sign right there and she points. Making me feel that I did something horrible.
A coworker had purchased a pair of gloves . I am a member however I had to go thru an ordeal for the exchange,
I understand that since I wasn't the one that bought them.
The man at the counter was not very friendly it was first thing in the morning so I have no idea what he was dealing with I will give him that. He gave me a $10.00 and some change cash card. That was okay until I got to the gloves, the exact same gloves were over $2.00 more. I will be returning them I have my receipt, and I will go to a different store to return them.
Because its the Holiday season, Its unbelievable that the price of this item that was purchased not more than a month ago would increase. I should have been allowed to exchange them for no additional cost.
I go to the register hand the man both my membership card and cash card, I did make additional purchases. He hands me both cards back and said " I already put your credit card thru. I said so what am I to do with this card? He said use it the next time you come in. I was putting things in my boxes and another coworker comes up and practically pushes me a side, and starts putting my groceries in my cart. Doesn't say a word, after which I said " thank you" because it was unbelievable to me how someone could be so rude let alone two of them !
I went to the court where t hey serve food and I was going to buy lunch for myself and my husband, a worker gets in line in front of me.. does't say anything, needless to say I walked away.
About 3 weeks ago my friend and were in the store and I let a woman go get something she had forgotten and keep her place in line. She said thank you and replied that this store in particular had changed that not only were the customers unbelievably rude but the workers were as well. I told her that ad not been my experience up to that date. I've since changed my opinion, my husband wants me to cancel my membership. I told him I may try another store before I do that.
It cost nothing to be polite, that is the only thing that in my opinion people can do without cost to themselves, the benefits are great in that it makes both people feel good. From a business perspective you have the gratitude of a returning customer that has had a pleasant experience hasn't been made to feel like a bother.
I don't know
if this will be read I don't know if anyone even cares, but I also believe that if you don't say something to someone you can't complain to others.
Thank you,
C. Lowe
