I really feel like the name Conn's exactly what this company should be called. I ordered a couch and TV online, AND i submitted my renter's insurance. I was then called by Merab Dewan 3 times from the Mesquite store to come into the store so I could get the free shipping. I finally went in. She then proceeded to tell me about all the cash back offers telling me I would get $800 cash back for 3 different promotions. As we sat down, she dialed the number for me to cancel my online order. When they told me I could not, it was taken to the manager, and it was all cancelled. Trust me, at this time I knew that this was all being down for Merabl to get the commission. What I did not know was that she was not HONEST about the cash back option. She also added the Personal Property Insurance without my knowledge UNTIL the paperwork was all done. I was then told it would take another twenty minutes to fix the paperwork, and she knew I was in a hurry. So, she gave me the paperwork to cancel it. I've emailed 3 times with no word back. She went thru and hit the docusign herself as she went thru and talked about each piece of paper. She told me I would get my cash back within 6-8 weeks after submitting the paperwork, which was a complete LIE. This is completely unethical. Of course, I know what will be said...you should read the contract. Well, I did after she continued to hit the continue with docusign herself. She was purposefully untruthful. Why? Who is actually going to pay their balance off within 12-24 months, and actually remember to go back and and call the company. I felt like going into the store to meet with her, and question her ethics, but I decided it would be best to do this here. I don't know what the resolution is. First of all, I want the personal property protection taken off BEFORE my first payment is due before 11/15, and I want my monthly payment to reflect this. I also want what I was told I would get, which is my promotion cash back within 6-8 weeks after filing the claim. I'm not sure if this is a company thing, and store thing, or a salesman thing, but this is borderline unethical and purposefully withholding important information while upselling a couple thousand dollars thinking I will get $800 back.
