TravelSmart VIP vacation package

Do not fall for their vacation package. They sell points to use to book a vacation but then upon returning home found out that you also have to pay an additioanl $$$thousands to book a vacation. So you are paying thousands of dollars for just being a Diamond Club VIP when you can pay the upcharge of less than $100 when booking your vacation through a travel adgent. Total Scam.

This is a scam and a farce. They sell u one thing and then the resort is gone and they tell u u have to go to another resort and pay thousands for your week. Now it is nothing more than a discount which u can can online cheaper. We want out of this but there doesn’t seem to be a way out. One excuse after another and never get anywhere or any answers when u call them. I can book online much cheaper than use the cost we paid for this resort plan. Don’t buy from them and if there was a way out we would be there

TravelSmart VIP prize redemption - hosting diaries

In August 2018 during my stay at the Royalton Punta Cana Resort I won in a prize draw sponsored by Travel Smart an award referring to four lodging days in one of the several hotels in the network. I planned to spend the holidays of May / 2019 in Mexico and following the instructions of the Travel Smart certificate I sent, on 03/01/2019, all the necessary information to request the redemption of the hotel rates.
To my disappointment, after more than 45 days and several messages sent requesting that Travel Smart confirm my request for redemption of the accommodation certificate, I received no position from the company. The contact was tried at the address provided by the company and in various social media and without any concrete results. Two people pledged to take care of the case, Travel Smart Vip (via Facebook) and Raul Garcia Anaya, but even after providing all the information requested I received no response or solution to my request. The company does not return the messages.
When requesting the redemption of the certificate of accommodation I thought that I would have the same attention, speed and ease of who makes a reservation for payment for the lodging. After all, one expects respect and fulfillment of obligations by a company like Travel Smart. The feeling is that the prize I received was given in a fictitious way, a real fraud and misleading advertisement of the hotel chain.
I am really upset about this situation and I feel like I was cheated by Travel Smart who used me to do marketing at a public event (I have the award video and the certificate). So my only way to protest is to post details of this story so that other people are not victims of this company.

TravelSmart VIP travelsmart vip contract for blue diamond membership.

Please note this is a review I wrote on pissed consumer. I have a friend who is a news reporter who I will ask her to take up my case and investigate your company practice.

Your company can not keep on deceiving people who just come for a pleasant holiday,

Myself and partner went to the royalton in falmouth and was invited to a presentation from 10.30- 3.30 after being pressurised to sign up for a blue diamond travel smart deal.

When we went back to the hotel and read the contract properly we could not afford this financially and also reading the reviews we were appalled at the service they provided.

I cancelled within the 5 days, however I received emails from the sales manager at royalton who sent me various emails (proof can be provided) that she was aware of the negative reviews and that she would like to give me the opportunity to still be apart of there club and she has formulated a trial membership for us to keep giving us vacation discount for 3 years to come back to blue diamond resorts. (sounds good lol)
Please review and let me know your thoughts to see if this is more financially feasible to you to earn your trust (this is what the sales manager wrote)
The next day not giving me time to read the proposal she wrote
Can you please accept or we will be declined as we need to close out of our system today. We await your urgent response to expedite today., I wrote back stating I need more time to read and come back to her with questions. She responding saying she can only wait one more day for my response.

I read the contract and was not happy with what she wrote she also use some abbreviation in the contract.
I emailed her asking her a variety of questions that I needed answered about the so called new contract.

She emailed me informing me that she would like to telephone me to
Clarify the information I required.

I responded my informing her that
I wish to have her clarify information I requested in writing,
The next day she cut and pasted information of what was available at resorts but avoided answering the questioned I emailed to her, due to this I informed her that I cancelled within the 5 day period and did not wish to proceed.
She wrote back informing me that this is noted and she will proceed
As per clause 7 of the membership purchase and sales agreement.
And I must expect communication from one of there representatives.

What a dishonest sales manager in one of her first email it clearly states that I should let her know if I am interested in the new proposal, as she needs to close my case out of the system, once I inform her I wish to have my money refunded to me she said she will be processing my membership anyway.

I need to have my money refunded to me as soon as possible. I contacted you within the timescale.

I live in the uk I will be seeking legal advice and I also will be placing a advert in the paper regarding travel smart vip royalton falmouth jamaica.
I have all the emails as evidence. Thank goodness I did not place a large deposit like the other people scammed by these deceitful sales persons. I will stop until I get my refund, this is a very dishonest sales manager. Noted I have not named and shamed her yet. I will give the company the opportunity to refund my money,

TravelSmart VIP membership

We were sold Travelsmart membership for 15 years when we were vacationing in one of their all inclusive resorts. We were told the membership covers all costs in their resorts.
We tried to read and understand all details in the contract. However, they are scam artists and the contract is written to confuse you and cheat you. When we called them to book a vacation, we were surprised to find out the package only covers rooms, not food. They then charged $1000/person for 5 days for food in their resorts!
If you book same resort for 5days in the same room with all inclusive package, it would only cost $900/person. It is absolutely a rip off! When we tried to get our money back, they cancelled our membership and did not give our money back. We have never used their membership and service.
We are cheated out $10, 000 by those scammers! Don't let them cheat you!

TravelSmart VIP bought travel points we were misled

Last year we went to Jamaica and we say a beautiful resort next to ours and decided to get more information about the resort for our next visit, we were accompanied to an office call Travelsmart they showed us the property and gave us a complimentary breakfast, from there we were taken to the office were a salesman started explaining how Travelsmart works, he showed us different options, we asked several questions we were told that it would take about 90 minutes we were there for 7 hours trying to understand how it works finally we were told that with our points we could stay at any royalton we just need to pay our flight and redeem our points, now its totally different we need to book through Sunwing with a 15% discount and 7000 points that we have to redeem from our 15000 we initially bought, about a month ago my wife call and it was totally different amount she was told that we get a 30% discount and 7000 points this is a scam and i need advice on how to get back my money

TravelSmart VIP travelsmart vip, sunwing, and rci

We were recently in Jamaica with Sunwing on an all inclusive travel package from November 12th to 18th, 2017. At the check in to the resort were invited to come to a presentation of the Travel Smart VIP program offered by Sunwing and Blue Diamond resorts at the Royalton Negril resort and Spa in Jamaica. The presentation would give us a future travel coupon for 4 days free offered from a list of the Royalton locations for simply attending. We decided to attend and during the sales pitch it was expressed that all fees quoted were in Canadian dollars and our signing up with Travelsmart VIP would include a partnership agreement with RCI and Owners Link holidays that we could use our investment to jointly book with these other groups while being a member of the Travelsmart VIP program. The program offered air fair discounts and focused on a points program where free upgrades would be standard for #Blue Diamond and Royalton and Sunwing vacations available over a 15 year period. Upon reviewing the information on line we had some concerns after only 3 days. We attempted to call the phone number [protected] to advise Travelsmart VIP that we did not want to be a part of the program, however the number had been disconnected. The day we returned home we cancelled the credit card we used to book the program and phoned American express to not process the payment. We further tried to call the number on the Free 4 day voucher [protected] and see if that number could provide any answers only to find that when called, the phone promptly hangs up after a brief Spanish message. Then when we tried to call the Travelsmart VIP phone number posted number on their website-facebook page twitter page and the "official documents" at [protected] that we received hoping that we could get connected from Canada, that we could not connect while in Jamaica, however that number is also not in Service. We called the hotel and asked to speak to our representative and we were asked to leave our name to have someone contact us back as everyone was busy. When we asked for a number to call to speak to someone from the Travelsmart VIP program no one could provide a number. We can find no way to book the travel on any of the sites for Travelsmat VIP and from all of the reviews on Trip Advisor we are not alone in our issues.
We are trying to cancel the program in the 15 day period and expect a full refund of our initial payment made to Travelsmart VIP though their shell company TSVC Barbados Las Vegas NV. Our client number is 6165801

Hello, My family and I have experienced the same scame in Punta Cana, presently Travel Smart threaten us to sue us in court if we cancell the contract. is it legal what Travel smart are treating their cheated customers ?

Hello everyone we are experiencing the same problem we bought our Travelsmart VIP in Jamaica with promises that we do not have to pay to stay at the royalton except for our flight and when we call Travelsmart they tell us no we have to book with Sunwing and all we get is a 15% discount, every time we call we get different amounts for the discount another lady told us we get 30% discount we want back our money we payed half right away and we are paying a monthly amount of 229.00 for 15000 points this is a big scam and we need help to get back our money

For those who wants to resolve any issues with travel scam, post your message (in addition to here) on social media pages of the company (facebook, twitter and etc..), so that scammers will see it directly and do it until you have problem resolved. Five, ten posts per day, times amount of victims...
Having such pages with bad responds will force those scammers to resolve or get them out of the market and make an air fresh from robbers.

TravelSmart VIP travelsmart vacation club practises

We were grossly mislead about what we were buying into. The salesperson showed us the required points & associated fees in a brochure, assuring us that we were purchasing enough points to stay in a premium room while traveling in any season. We were also shown user fees that ranged from $67-$120 per day depending on the room in which you stay. While attempting to book a vacation 1 year later, I learned that we are 5, 000-12, 000 points shy of staying in the least desirable room in the resort during prime or premium season. Also, the daily fee to stay in this average room is now $177 per day, for a total of $2478 in user fees for the 2 of us for the required 7 day stay. This does not include airline tickets. Keep in mind, this is after the exorbitant price we paid to belong to this club. What a scam! This is a typical bate & switch scam for which time share companies are known. Also included in our "deal" is that they will take our old timeshare off our hands as a trade. Of course, no one knows anything about this deal. We have not been able to find out who to get the deed to for transfer. Shame on TravelSmart & shame on us for falling for this scam! RUN AWAY! Don't get sucked into their sales pitch, they lie & scam like everyone else.

TravelSmart VIP travelsmart points

We were in Jamaica in November 2015 for a lovely 10 day vacation.

On the first day, we were approached by some very nice people, and they promised us a free 5 day vacation if we had a meeting with them. We obliged, they spoke to us, and they made it seem as though if we used our travelsmart points to book with them, we could book packages and use our points to "pay" for these packages. We were so excited that we signed on. They busted out the champagne and everything.

Well, now that I am finally trying to book a vacation, I spoke to a travelsmart rep, who told me that if we use our points, it would only include the hotel room (not even food) and that we would have to pay the flight AND the all inclusive daily fee for the hotel.

Needless to say, we are very angry and I would like to see if anyone knows how to begin about the cancellation procedure. when I asked the rep over the phone, he began to give me this whole story about how I had to send emails to just inquire about how much it would be to cancel.

Does anyone know how to cancel or what the procedure is? Does anyone know how much it is to cancel? Please help!

TravelSmart VIP They lied

For those who are planing to visit the bahama, please be aware of those people which works for vacation club such as travel smart vip vacation club in freeport bahama. They will invite you to come and see what they have to offer you, so you can fall into their trap of purchasing a vacation package, they will try to explain in detail what they have for you. But if you fall into it, the chances are that no one will call you or help you to arrange the vacation that you want.. Also please don't let them hook you on this trap, especially if thy bring into the picture their manager by the name of mr. Andrew styles the so called member services manager, this guy is very rude to people who already bought into these packages, and he or his staff will not help out in anyway what so ever, they lied from the minute you signed that contract. We have send them so many emails, and faxes that we had to have our attorney involved. Please people be careful when vacationing freeport bahamas.

We decided just to stop paying membership fee.

We paid full amount in contract few years ago and with Covid and not traveling and also with no benefits in Cuba, where we mostly traveled, it is not worth for us.

Contract we signed - there is no our address, no social insurance number, it states that court in Panama is authorized so that contract is basically garbage. There is no way anybody can force you to be a member of any club if you don't want it. We do not owe them any money, we are at loss but we do not intend to pay any membership fee.

What would happen if we both died during Covid? How would they know

They can call but in order to do any legal action you need to know address, etc

We signed our contract in Mexico back in 2019 … the contract has our address but no Social Insurance number .., we pay via pre-authorized credit card payment … I have called and tried to cancel but we’re told we were locked into the contract …

I was thinking about just cancelling my credit card and ignore any calls from them … I am just not sure what the legal repercussions could be … would we be sued? Would we be allowed back into Mexico?

We want to get away from this but not sure how to do … feel trapped …

I agree. They also don't reveal that there is an annual fee "membership fee". It is several hundred dollars and increases every year.

Also I requested that the fee be waived this year since travel was either not available or very restricted. Of course the answer was no and penalties are accruing.

So regret falling for the sales pitch!

My husband who was sick at the time traveled to The Hideaway in Cancun a few years back.

He was treated the next day by the ship dr. With pain meds.

We were to go to a breakfast the next morning and we’re talked into signing a $10,000. Contract after bottles of champagne.

My late husband has been gone 2 years now and I got a notification I owed another $900. In annual costs.

I have never tried to use this VIP “ Club” until today.

After 4 1/2 hours, I still do not have a reservation.

Whatever you do, DO NOT fall for this scam.

There needs to be a class action case started for the people that have fallen for this.

Personally, I am going to contact my attorney to see where this needs to go

We have the same problem right now, we have been trying to cancel since the beginning but didn't do it within those first few days because we were traveling back home; and frankly, our heads were still spinning from everything.

This past weekend I told the representative on the phone again that we were cancelling and he literally "LAUGHED" at me on the phone and told me "THERE IS NO CANCELLING", YOU ARE STUCK FOR LIFE! OMG, we need help, we need attorneys to help us. They keep taking our money and we are getting nothing. I am tempted to just stop payment and see what happens, but I'm afraid of them ruining our credit.

6/30/23 Update: we stopped paying the monthly payment and yearly fees, we cancelled the auto pay on the credit card and cancelled everything they had access to. Then the harassing calls and emails started 4x daily non-stop. This went on for 5 months of daily stress and threats, at the point of changing our numbers because they even started calling our daughter. As of today they agreed to waive all late fees and we agreed and start the payment up again only to get them to stop calling our daughter. There has to be something that can be done. They told me we are locked in for 9 years per the contract whether it is paid off or not and will have to pay the yearly maintenance fees, which they can raise to whatever they need to annually. They also claimed they were going to turn over to collection agency, but they don't have our SS#'s, only and address and not sure how that works with being outside country. Either way, we have been searching for an attorney that knows about this, so if anyone has info or is doing a class-action lawsuit. We didn't even know what we were really signing because we were drinking at the time of the "pressure pitch" and they just kept giving up champagne & mimosas. Such a nightmare. Beware!

This company is totally scam They take your hard earned money, we paid well over 12, 000 dollars of our hard earned money After many years of trying to deal with them I have gotten a lawyer. All travel smarts comments are you signed a contract. We tried to cancel our membership the day after. These people are trained to promise you the world, and do not explain anything. Totally scam. We are going to take them to court anyone else with us?

We are in the same boat, I was literally "laughed at" on the phone by the representative over the weekend when I told him again that we were cancelling, he then told me there was "NEVER" any cancelling and we were stuck for life. OMG, we need attorneys.

I'd love to join your law suit. This Travelsmart vip company is A TOTAL SCAM. I bought the membership in 2018 worth 1 week per year for a studio that accommodated 4 people and were told that we only had to pay for the All Inclusive (food and drinks). Was also told that if the 15000 points were not used in the current year they could be rolled over to the following year and this could allow us to get a larger accommodation and/or better view (ocean) based on availability. Since I don't travel every year but every other year, this sounded good. Then the pandemia came and traveling plans came to a halt. I paid my membership in full within a couple of months of signing the contract and paid membership fees yearly since but have not been able to get my room as I should since I already paid for it in advanced. Thousands of dollars paid to this company that now wants to give me a 35%discount on a room I already paid for! I spoke to someone the other day and he had the nerve to say they never promise a room to anyone but a discount only and that there are sales people that lie to get the sale through. Then sent me a quote for a vacation week at negril with many options ranging from $2,600 to $3,300 for two adults just for the ROOM! This is ridiculous! I have paperwork that specifies that my membership of 15,000 points was for a 1 week junior suite. I also have a document that explains the rolling of points from one year to the next but this people now say they don't use the point system anymore and they just give discounts. Well, I signed a contract for 15,000 points per year for a 1 week junior suit that I have not been able to get. They are now harassing me to pay this year's fees but they don't want to HONOR the terms of my contract. So just because they decided to stop using tge point system I am supposed to agree and pay 65% of the cost of the room? Like I said, I paid for this membership in full within a couple of moths IN GOOD FAITH! But this people don't know what that means. Having the nerve to say that salespeople lie to sell these contracts was the icing on the cake! Thank God I did not agree to anything beyond 10 years but I will definitely bring the documents to my attorney to see what my options are.

I’m at the exact same spot as you right now. Mine is all paid for but I no longer want to lay the annual fee cause I feel like what they are offering is still more expensive than what I can Get on orbits! Please let me know what you decide to do.

I did contact you directly, to date all you do is remind me of the contract I was pressured to sign . I want be released from this contract as I was lied to about how it worked .

I also emailed Travel Smart Vip vía email and all I get is NOTHING but phone calls to get me to continue paying the yearly maintenance fee. I got no reply regarding my 2 SPECIAL WEEKSnd 2 BONUS WEEKS spelled out in my contract to be used within the 10 year contract #6448507. Like I said, total scam! I even sent pues of the contract page where it is spelled out that for every special week I use I'd get an additional bonus week the same year. I've never meen able to use any SPECIAL NOR BONUS weeks because my plans to travel in 2020 were shut by the pandemic and all Travelsmart vip customer service reps vanidhed. I've tried calling and they basically Dena over the phone what's written on my contract.
