Nokia review: scam lottery winnings! 207

I got the same sms, i know it was a fraud but i was compelled to see what they were scamming for. So i send and email only to find out the want:
Cost of delivery
Mailing: 575 GBP [ ]
Insurance: £1, 650.00 (PAID)
Administrative: £240.00 (PAID)
24hours delivery

Just for delivery... ### it would be cheaper to fly to the UK and get the check myself. anyways the email was very cheap looking etc. but the main question still remains how did they get my number and how did they know i am using a nokia. Any ways beware of nokiaukmobile2008@live.com .

the same thing happened to me thank god i opened this page.Now one give you money for nothing so keep your eyes open don't let them fraud you.

My freind received a text of congrats for an amount of 110, 000 GBP, he is about to deposit Delivery charge of about 410 GBP through western union to Jean carl at DHL in UK, please advice if he is doing the right thing, can you also advice if paul richardson is promotions cordinator for the Nokia in the UK,

I have recieved the same text message on the weekend. Is it real or is it some scam. Can someone from Nokia verify this. Several people in my country (Papua New Guinea) have been receiving the same message.

For claims call + 447 [protected] & Email nokiauk.inc@london.com. PLEASE BE WARE DONT FALL VICTIM TO THIS SCAM - TELL AS MANY PEOPLE AS YOU CAN

I received a text message also this afternoon. It came from a sender with mobile number +[protected]. Since I was curious about the statement of that sender that I won in a Nokia UK promotion of 147, 000 pounds, I called the number. I was able to talk to a guy who said his name was Mr. Mark Cole. He asked me to send him an e-mail with my name, country, and mobile number. I did what the guy asked me to do and I even called him again to confirm that I have sent the e-mail. However, I was still curious about the promotion he told me so I was surprised to see and realize that this is a big scam. I am still thankful that I did not give any money yet for anything. I hope that Nokia will do something about this as soon as possible.

I recieved this text message two days ago saying "Congratulations" Your number has won 172, 000 British pounds in the ongoing UK NOKIA PROMO. Email us at: nokia.promouk@uk2.net & call +[protected] for claims info ? Is this Fraud?

This is a scam... i recieved the same message on 25 june... telling me that i hav won 172, 000 gbp upon further inquiry found out it was a scam i called the guys who sent me the message and they sounded very fake... i hope NOKIA's knows about this... becoz all the scams lately r on nokia's name...

I'm here in Dubai, just an hour ago, I've received a call & SMS from this number +[protected] telling me that I've won GBP172, 000 and to call +[protected] or email my contact detail to nokia.uk.promo@uk2.net so I could claim my price, I get to talk to that person but he won't answer directly any of my questions and the lines are so bad and he's not even british when he talks. Honestly speaking, I swithced mobile brand for more than 5yrs now. Nevertheless, I hope Nokia will do something about this great scam. Their name is at stake.

Today morning I received an SMS stating that I won 1, 000, 000 Pounds. can you just state whether is this correct or not.
I tried calling this no.+[protected], 2 times but no response.
Can somebody help me out. What exactly Nokia is doing for the customers.

i just received it...surely nothing much than scam...this scam used to send by mails now started by SMS...never reply those...if u rply they will tell we will send u money through exchange so send us $200 n ull get money in 2 days...n afterthat they run..

I also received a similar message. Nokia is not taking any action against such people. It indicates perhaps Nokia is allowing such people to get free publicity.

I am sending my claim to these people, If i did not get, I will claim from Nokia even if I need to go to International courts.

I was totally surprised when I had seen the message first time, then I came to know it is fraud because I noticed that the e-mail is @yahoo.com, since NOKIA has an own setup for the Domain they don’t use any external ID’s. But still we would like to know why NOKIA doesn’t stop these issues which will provide bad impacts for NOKIA.
