complaint against loreal
Hi,
This complaint is regarding the severe ill-effect I have been facing by using L'Oreal Pearl Perfect Day Cream.
Immediately after applying the L'Oreal Pearl Perfect Day cream on my face I experienced severe burning sensation on my face; as the same was unbearable, I washed my face with water within 1 minute but the itching and burning persisted till the next day. But to my utter disgust, I was shocked to look at my face next morning. My face skin was completely burnt, and was left with Water bobbles & dark patches all around the face. I washed my face with water, but there was no relief. The face continues to remain dark, with burnt patches on many parts on my face. I have been consulting a dermatologist and am under medication, but the physical and mental trauma is still continuing. I called up the local customer care of L'oreal to lodge a complaint(Ref No:190368, Contacted person: Laxmi & Manpreet Aroda); however was grossly disappointed with their response. It was shocking to hear them say that they would refund the cost of the face cream; How can a company like Loreal, which claims to be global brand, be so irresponsible with its consumers? My objective is to raise this issue in this forum, so that other customers are
aware of such irresponsible brands and their harmful products, and also to make a note to the company (Loreal India Pvt Ltd) to take below mentioned actions.
- accept the blame of the faulty product
- bear my medicale expense
- compensate for the physical & mental pain that I been going through.
If no such actions are taken by the company, then i would not be left with any option other than going for legal proceedings.
Regards,
SN

eye liner
Ok, I hope I am doing this correctly so this will reach the proper personnel... Good gosh, I am doing this to enightenen the company and to warn others. Loreal liquid waterproof eyeliner is soooooo wrong on at least two levels... Very very irritating to the eyes; so very easy to get into eyes and have eyes run and hurt better part of the day. The removal of the eyeliner is almost like a piece of tape... It is painful and can come off in a weird strip at times. It also makes the lashes stiff and coated prior to mascara. To all prospective customers, I strongly advise against this product - I wish I had seen something like this before I bought the product. You get what you pay for - I am going back to bobbi brown eyeliner... Thank you for listening

its waste
I WANT EVA LONGORIA BACK!
causes an eye twitch
I used a full container of this stuff - first of all no uplift but the worst (there should be a warning) was an aggrevating twitch on the lower lid - I at first thought maybe I'm under too much stress - after suffering for 6 weeks wondering what was going on (and running out of the product) I realized what was going on - a week after discontinuing the product the twitch in the lower eyelid went away. - plus no noticable difference in my skin.

I complained to L'Oreal Paris in London and they paid for examination by a dermatologist, he upheld my complaint, but they refused compensation and said "case closed"! So much for Revitalift Day the MANY wrinkle cream!
I had bad results too with L'Oreal Revitalift Day, "the MANY wrinkle cream"
It did not work and it irritated my face. Theresa.

breakages and bad advice
I colored my hair and it turned red. I was going for blonde. I called the 800 number on the box and the consultant said go with another color. I did and now I have tons of breakage. My hair is shoulder length and I went to see my hairdresser yesterday and she said we're going to have to cut atleast 5 in off. And its going to cost me. I spent over $80.00 just coloring it. And its still red. Now I have to cut it. It was just starting to grow out and I was looking forward to having long hair.
the eyeliner is a great product in an impossible format
I recently purchased two products from your HIP line, kohl eyeliner and color presso. The lip color is just a poor product in a very intriguing applicator than doesn't work. The eyeliner is a great product in an impossible format. When using the kohl eyeliner it winds up all over my face as particles fall down my cheeks when I apply the product to my eyes. Also the tip of the eyeliner applicator bent at a right angle when I replaced it in the container and I can't seem to fix it. I felt compeled to complain because you guys aren't exactly giving these products away. The eyeliner was $10.94 as was the lip color, plus tax. So I'm out $22. and change.
i'm shocked at this type of deception
I’d been searching for a (non-mail order) sulfate-free shampoo for a quite sometime when I came across L’Oreal’s EverPure Sulfate-free Color Care System Volume Shampoo at Target.
After only two uses (it NEVER occurred to me the first time that the reaction to a “sulfate-free 100% vegan containing naturally-derived cleansing ingredients with no harsh, color-stripping sulfates or salts” could be the culprit), my skin started to burn and itch; even my feet and shins, where the shampoo dripped and contacted my skin, had big red splotches. At the time of this writing, 5 days after discontinuing use, the itchiness has not abated.
I went online to see if others have had the same results, and not only found countless posts regarding the same symptoms after using the shampoo, but also discovered the following: Additional primary cleansers and foaming agents include sodium lauryl sulfoacetate, which can be an irritant and isn’t considered mild or pure, and disodium laureth sulfosuccinate, which rates as a moderate hazard ingredient because of its potential to carry ethylene oxide and known toxins and carcinogens. Sodium lauroyl sarcosinate is even worse, since it actually increases absorption levels, and can be contaminated with nitrosamines. There are also a number of irritating preservatives and fragrance ingredients.
In other words, the EVERPURE line has replaced sulfates with further irritating and toxic substitutes. Therefore, there’s nothing PURE about this product.
As a long time customer of L’Oreal, Garnier, Kiehl’s, Vichy and other subsidiaries of L’Oreal and L’Oreal Paris, I’m shocked at this type of deception. After all, it’s the people who are searching for sulfate-free products who are depending upon the fact that they are indeed free of sulfates or like byproducts.
I will be blogging (HerNashville.com) about my experience, so others aren’t duped by the misrepresentation of your product and wind up experiencing the discomfort I have and continue to have. If you care to respond, I’ll post your reply as well. At the very least, I’d like a refund. Being wary of even handling the offending product, it’s now in the trash.
bad hair dye
Six months ago I brought the l'oreal hair dye casting creme gloss. It was dark chocolate and semi permanent, and I made sure of this as I did not want a permanent colour. The box indicated the colour would only last up to 28 washes putting my faith in this I used the hair dye. Its now six months later and my hair is still the same colour I wash my hair three times a week and if you do the maths that adds up to alot more than 28 washes. I seeked the advice of a professional hairdresses to which she informed that the colour was indeed permanent and now must grow out. I am extremely upset at this as I certainly did not want a permanent colour. I now have bad regrowth which I am very annoyed about. I will now urge everyone I know to adviod l'oreal products and I certainly will never use any of their products again.
plastic jewelry set/no return or store exchange
I bought a jewelry set from bargelloreal.com. It was for $549.95 dollars. It came after 6 months as oppose to the advertisement of arriving in 2 months. Once it arrived it was like a plasticy cheap set. I would log into bargelloreal.com and I would be able to speak to a representative by the name of Mushood. He stated, he would work with me and I should return the jewelry set, and a store credit would be issued. And this time prior to dispatching the set, he would send an image of it across. I had paid for the set on 11/4/2009 $549.95 through Google checkout. After months of no communication, no call backs from Mushood, no emails, and he was no longer available on the live chat, as all together that is not working.
And suddenly I get an email today saying that I attempted a charge back, and so there will be no credit. And the audacity to tell me about another fraudulent business they have opened up dressrepublic.com. Where is my money? Where is my jewelry set?
Please do not buy anything, and if you do it's better for you to keep it and sell it for even $50 cents on E-BAY. This company or should I say companies are crooks. They took my money, the returned jewelry set at Houston, TX office and now I have nothing. Is that how they stay in business? Conning ppl?
My parents told me not to trust PAKISTANI jewrelers, and then online. But no I actually thought since they had great pictures, and Mushood would be in constant contact, and they had youtube videos...it would be different.

hair straightening
I would like to inform you that I had been for Hair Straightening at one of the Loreal Parlours named Runah which is located at I.C.Colony, Cross Road No.5 in Borivali (West), Mumbai.
Just to bring to your notice I was told that they will be doing Hair Rebonding on my hair as I wanted to get them straightened. However after they started the treatment they said that they will be doing hair straightening and not rebonding and even that was not done properly.
My hair got spoiled after that and when i went there to inform them about the same as i was getting hairfall and alos there were many waves in my hair.I was told that it is proper and they did not pay any attention to my hair.
I would like to mention that they do not offer good customer service as well as I feel that the products taht they use are not proper or the procedure taht they follow is improper.
Thanks.

I'm on my 3rd bottle of loreal true match hyalluronic tinted serum. I love the product unfortunately don't think I can keep spending 20 bucks a bottle on this product. The dropper and botte are a mess after only a couple of uses and there is obviously product left after only a couple weeks you would literally have to smash the bottle open to get to it (which I seriously almost thought of doing). Loreal if you even read any of these comments please do something about the dispensing of the product..until then I will not be purchasing again.
the saloon men suggested me for loreal hair spa to control dandruff but now its stated hairfall
I AGREE WID YOU SISTAAAAA
You are right, the brand is just boo[censored]
Sorry I ment visible lift foundation not true match. C.R. Az
You are so right. I think all of the bottles of True Match Foundation are defective . I'm on my 3rd one used for 1 week and then nothing, I had my husband pry open the plastic top to find out it was almost empty maybe a teaspoon left so I went and got another bottle I bought at the same time but never used had him pry open that one to discover that there was only less then 1/2 a bottle. I belive loreal is a big ripoff and will never use there products again. $13.49 a bottle for maybe a tablespoon of make-up ! I don't think so.

beware!
I viewed the ad for smaller pores over the television sometime during last summer (2009) and decided to try the product, as I have slightly (very slightly) enlarged pores on my cheek areas closest to my nose. I really didn't realize I wasn't the target age group for this product until I brought it home, because at that time I was 24 and the product said 30+.
I had/have very mild acne and added this product to my daily routine of cleanser (containing salicylic acids) the L'OREAL product and a moisturizer. Within one week of using this product, my cheeks (the only area the pore minimizer applied) was red, swollen and tiny pus filled red bumps were there (not like pimples though, I assure you). I was concerned, because this wasn't normal for my skin so I immediately stopped using all the products. My skin then became almost scaly in the areas where the pore minimizer was used and would flake or peel off.
I have since switched to all Aveeno products that have no acids in them and I still (Feb. 2010) have problems with the two areas the L'OREAL product was applied.
I believe I freaked my skin out by using too many products with the acids in them; which severely dried my skin out and it still hasn't recovered. If I was to wash my face with a cleaner pad, I know the next morning my face will be swollen and red in the two areas on my cheeks were the L'OREAL product was used. I know it wasn't the cleanser or the moisturizer--as I have been using these two products since I was in high school--that caused my lasting skin irritation. I have told anyone I can I wouldn't recommend the L'OREAL product, not all their products, just this particular one.

I've had the same experience. Love what the product can do, but I ended up with small bumps all over my face. They aren't pimples or whiteheads. They are small and hard and last for months. I stopped using Skin Genesis for almost a year and then decided to try it again and had the same result -- so I know it is the Skin Genesis. I'm really sorry, because I'd love to be able to use it.
you probably didnt cleanse ur skin well before using the product, if ur skin has dirt on it and you use a product that closes or minimizes pores, dirt will be trapped inside and cause pimples.
stains clothing
This is a very good makeup, but the hole in the pump frequently clogs and when the pump is pressed, makeup squirts in many directions, usually on clothes i'm wearing.
My complaint is that the makeup simply does not wash out — even after using straight bleach on the spots. The end result is the garment has to be thrown out.
Completely agree. I have L'Oreal infallible makeup spots on my blouses & walls that I have not been able to remove. Can this really be good for our skin?
I totally agree! And I'm amazed that I'm finding NO responses from L'Oreal anywhere. I'll add something else. When a painted wall gets squirted, you might as well have painted the dots there. They aren't coming off.
hair loss
Two days after using their product, following instructions provided, I began to experience all over hair loss.

wrong color
For many years I have used the shades in the Natural Blond colors. I recently used Color 9 Natural Blond. When I mixed the color, I noticed that it was a dark red but didn't think much about it because I know you are always improving your products.
However, to my surprised the color turned out to be a horrible dark ash red color. It was a late Saturday and was unable to call a beauty shop. Since I was joining a new church on Sunday, I knew I had to do something fast. So I had my husband run out and buy Loreal 10Natural Blond. When I mixed this color, the dye was blond which is what the first product should have been. I have extremely thin hair and my hair is very fragile.
I have kept the product and would like to have it analyzed. I have checked the bottle labels and the labels are correct, however I am questioning if perhaps the label was put on the wrong bottle? I would also like to know if there is some place I can send this product to a chemist?
I think this is very serious and I know what it is like to lose your hair because I am a cancer survivor. This needs to be looked into and I would appreciate hearing from you.

Wow what you wrote sounds like what happen to me last night. I have used Natural Blond colors from L'oreal for many years and last night when I went to do my hair with 9 NB the mixture was dark.. Almost didn't do it (and wish I hadn't), but even on the box it said "NEW" so I thought ok they changed the formula. Well today I don't know what color you would call my hair but it is not NATURAL BLOND. I am going try to redo it with 9 1/2 NB..Lightest Natural Blond. Can you tell me if you heard anything from L'oreal? I am also going to go on their site and put in a complaint.

false information
I colored my hair with L'oreal's Castings Creme Glos hair color. The package says: "Lasts 6-8 weeks".
I noticed that it doesn't come out of my hair. Then I called L'oreal's customer services and they confirmed it: It is a permanent hair dye.
Now I have ugly hair and nasty looking roots and it takes about five years to grow my own hair color back.
I think L'oreal has lied to me. And it just makes me sick how some people at message boards give good reviews to this cheating hair dye (I wonder who pays them to do so).

I purchased Loreal Feria B61 Hi-Lift Brown and applied it this afternoon, I am very disappointed in this product, my hair color is orginally dark brown, which is what the product is for, it did not look anything like the "after" picture, as a matter of fact you can not even tell I dyed it, since I have super long hair I had to buy 2 boxes and I am out $20
now. I have used Loreal hair color in the past and had no problems, but now I damaged my hair for no reason, It did lighten my top roots a slight reddish brown? The picture on the box looks like a very light brown almost blonde-- Do Not buy this--
fooling people through their offer
We want to tell all of you that if there is any offer from Loreal for using their products or getting hair cuts or any other facilities in their beauty parlors, don’t except it.
We had a salesman from Looks Beauty Parlor, Prashant Vihar. He gave us a card of Loreal and told us a huge amount of facilities we can avail for free like hair cut, facial, pedicure, bleach etc. He did not tell us any condition in the use of the card and took Rs. 500 for this offer.
When we went to the parlor, we were told that we will have to use one paid service and then only can we avail any free service. This case is not only with me but with many of the people who availed this offer.
It’s a shame for a company like Loreal to sell its products in this manner by cheating people. We recommend you to reject any such offer that loreal gives by their beauty parlor

clogged pores
I recently purchased L'Oreal Revitalift Complete. This product completely clogged the pores around my nose, down the labial folds between my nose and mouth, under my nose and on on my chin. I am still trying to get these pores unplugged. I can't believe that this happened! I've always had more faith in L'oreal products.
I also purchased the mascara that is hawked by the woman from Desperate Housewifes. How many pairs of false eyelashes did you have on her? I don't care for this product either. My eyelashes look like spider legs...certainly not full like the full lashes that your product promises. Seriously, whatever happened to truth in advertising?
Between these 2 items, I wasted abaout $26. Ridiculous!

flakes when applied
i bought the loreal dual lipstick a few days ago from boots at livingstonwest lothian i followed the instructions, but whenever i apply the lipstick, leave it a few mins then apply the gloss it flakes all the time it looks like flakey paint, i find that quite unacceptable as the dual case lipstick was not cheap to buy, unfortunately i did not keep the reciept so the boots wont take it back, i feel the actual lipstick is not right cosmetically and would like yous to know that the product is imperfect.i buy a lot of loreal products and this is the first time i have experienced anything like this before.

I have problems with using the Loreal Brand lipstick. My lips will feel very tight the next day and then followed by lips cracking and bleeding the following days. I have tried a few times applying Loreal lipstick and the same lips issue just took place.
I am very unhappy with Loreal products.
I bought two of these on offer the other week and the same happened to me so I sent it back to L'oreal. I was basically told it was my fault for storing it incorrectly as the product was well within a year of manufacturing. I was offered a refund or replacement but I asked for some mineral make-up that I use regularly. I was told I could only have one because it was more expensive than the lipstick until she back tracked when my voice changed to one of disapproval and she offered me two! This product is not right and I wish they would have listened to me and tried the lipstick on their lips before assuming I was complaining for the sake of it!
mascara is dried out
I bought Loreal's eyelash mascara tubes and when I got home I was try to see if it really worked and I opened it up I put the base coat on and it worked great but when I went to put the mascara tubes on my lashes the mascara was so dry that it wouldn't even coat the brush to apply the mascara. I had to use my old mascara to cover the base coat. So you tell me what I need to do. Do I return the product from the place I bought it or will Loreal send me a replacement? If you could get back to me about this it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for your time and response. Tara Hamblen

I agree. I have gotten it lateley and it has been dried out, but I have a more serious complaint. I wear contact lenses and my eyes have been very irritated lately. I stopped wearing them and went to the eye doctor but he could find noothing wrong. I then discovered as soon as I begin applying the "Voluminous Mascara" my eyes start burning. I am NOT getting it in my eyes but evidently there is a new ingredient in the mascara, and when I begin applying it to my eyelashes I get a burning sensation, almost as though the fumes are burning my eyes, so now and I am forced to switch to another manufacturer. Does anyone else have this problem?

After using Loreal Voluminous Original mascara, my eyelids started itching, burning, turning red to my brows, then crusting over. This lasted for over a week! I finally went to Dr who gave me steroid shot, antibiotic eye drops and antibiotic cream. Wondering if I am the only one this has happened to. Never before with any other mascara.
I purchased the Perfecting Base on 12/23/12 and when I opened the jar the next day I noticed that the contents is solidified. I tried to use it but it leaves a chalky residue on the face. I had purchased, used and loved this product before and it is more of an emulsion or serum. Last night 1/18/13, I went to Walmart to get me a new jar but when I opened it the contents was also solidified. This is a costly product and I want full reimbursement or replacement.
I purchased Loreal 9 1/2NB LIGHTEST NATURAL BLONDE. for my gray hair which was just as shown on the box..(& I thought finally a L'Oreal color for me !
WHAT A SHOCK WHEN---it came out yellow blond. NOT ANYTHING as shown the color shown on the box..._any suggestions on how I can take it off ! This is the first dissapointed with L'OREAL ! please look at the color on the box, , (it was just what I had been looking for --NO BLOND IN IT ) Thank you for the past products that I have purchased.
I have bought the l'oreal bronzing spray twice now and both tops have clogged up and come off after using only a few times. They were from my local asda costing £12 pounds each, they would not give me cedit and told me to sent them back to you. I thought by buying a more expensive make, it would be better quality, obviously not.
I have used Loreal Paris- Color Casting hair colors twice... They are just useless and wastage on money and time.
I got the effect for first day, 2nd day till 10th day.. the the color is gone...
Its so sad to see grey hairs within 15 days after application done...
Earlier i thought may be its first time so i might have washed my hairs more...
But the truth is this is 2nd time happening the same.
I applied this colur on 25th Jan 2012... And on 10the Feb 2012 i say color gone with grey hairs on top...
I tried Plum Color twice... Really i regret using it and wasting money & application time.

I have tried Casting Creme Gloss for the first time, and although the colour is good the process of mixing the tube and bottle proved difficult. I have coloured my hair for the past 15 years and never experienced any difficulty with any other product before. The tube wouldn’t squeeze in the bottle hence the dye all over my sleeve and bathroom cupboard. I found it too much like hard work. Though, the result of the colour when final done is very good. Please can you make this process simpler. Try using plastic bottles for both liquids instead of tube. Thanks youa9736
got the hi-lift cool brown b-61 cooler only ruts turned rest of hair was still my color it was so bad looking not happy with this coler
Maybe it's me, but I can't seem to figure out how to advance the stub of my Extra Intense liquid pencil eyeliner. I'm twisting and turning and pushing, but I can't get any more pencil, and it's brand new!
Last night I applied this revitalising soothing night cream. With in 15 min I had this burning sensation as if I have applied a bleach .I taught it will go by itself but it didn't. So I washed My face immediately then also the burning sensation was felt fir an hour .
Really disappointed l'oreal
