I called Green Dot Saturday (4 days ago) and told them my deposit was missing, when the issue was resolved on my end (transferred to a friends card) I called green Dot back to cancel my claim. They have still not cancelled my claim and have locked my card and my friends, holding onto all of our funds. When I call I get someone in India who is not help full at all. I sent my final request in today. Trying to figure out my next steps with my complaint against them. This is ridiculous!

    Highly dissatisfied with this service I will never recommend this service to anyone. I purchased a card and ordered a car part it never went through and my card was blocked. When I called they could tell me why just wanted a copy of my Id smh ..I send it in my card gets unblocked, I make my purchase online when my new card comes in the mail it's blocked again. The first time I thought maybe I did something wrong, but I know now it wasn't me. It's completely ridiculous!! And still the woman answering the phone could not tell me why my card was being blocked, when I asked to speak to an supervisor she informed me she was the supervision..I then asked to speak to her supervisor she said he was on the other line OK..I couldn't understand why he's on the phone with her and not the custom if that was the case at all! The customer service is no use or help what so ever I will never use it again and every person I know I will let them know of my experience.

    I cannot get my social security money..I'm ready to lose my home cannot get my heart medicines other very important medicines...nothing i do can get this resolved..I've sent pictures of ID 20 times...many saying successful but my card is still locked..Desperate here...

    Green dot is a scam they blocked my card after I reported a unknown use of my card $6 I told them not to lock because I woukd be getting paid the next day, she did it anyways agents my requests. My job made a1500 deposit on the next day on the first I was late on bills because they gave me no other option but to wait for a card they lied and told me it was being expressed in 4days, 9days later still no card. I spoke with multiple supervisors and told them I don't want to deal with this company just cancel my card and send me a refund check for my balance, they absolutely refused to cancel my card!!! One lady keep asking me to send in ID to get the block off and I told her over and over and over Again at this point I am not concerned with getting the block off I don't want to deal with this company process a refund check for my balance, she got an attitude and eventually hung up. THEY ABSOLUTELY DIDNT WANT TO GIVE MY MONEY BACK. Going to report them.

    @B4badu45 report them to BBB of Greater LA, Attorney General of Ca and Attorney General in the state in which you bought it. also sent a complaint to the store where I purchased it, so they would know what they were selling.

    @B4badu45 go file with the BBB they send reports to the company and they will get a statement that bbb will not deal with them but they have to respond to your complaint against Green Dot. and call or email your attorney general in your state that's what they're for they go after consumer complaints and rip-offs

    @sasha b My fiance and i are having the same issue. They said 5 days to review her ID and remove the block, the website says 2 days and the email said 3 to 5 days. They then said that her ID picture was to dark and she had to resubmit it. I am going to sue them.

    I've activated my Green Dot card, as soon as I did my account was locked. I can't deposit any money on my card, I've already talked to someone from Customer Service and the account is still locked. Can someone please help me?

    @Janie Battle contact the BBB file a report and email your attorney general in whatever state you live in and tell them there are over 4000 consumers that have thieven issues with this company or look at the beginning of the complaint board and there's an Attorney that wants all complaints ABOUT GREEN DOT you should check him out I have read everything good about him .. I'm just a lady that really does not want to even use the 4 cards that they green dot has sent me in fear that they will take my money too

    My Green dot card is locked and I can't load any of my funds to it. I've called customer service and then claimed that it's unlocked and what I went online to check on it, it is still locked, can someone please help me with this?

    Has anyone thought about suing greendot for taking peoples money illegally im sure they have caused a lot of grief to people by holding up peoples finances that they desperately need

    @Stacyssss there has to be a way that a class action lawsuit can be in place check top classaction lawsuits and it tells you how to do this I'm sure that if you get 5 -20 people I'm sure there would be more but check the class actions out green dot might be one company being sued or google if it has been i know there's an attorney that wants people to file and he's on the green dot google page

    @yng I have roughly $120 i have not been able to access. They wont help with anything. I got card to pay bills and once money was on there the card was blocked 12 hours later

    @yng I am not one to post negativity however in this case it is for good reason!! Two weeks ago today my paycheck was deposited to a GreenDot.com card through direct deposit. They CLAIM you get your paycheck two days earlier by using their card. The card was in Renee's name because of an issue with my bank where I had to close my account. I called to verify the funds were there (not two days early as promised) and customer service said the money was blocked. They told me we needed to verify identity of the cardholder and the person on the check. So I emailed a copy of our drivers licenses as requested and both Renee and I spoke to them on the phone. They said it would take 2 days to review the documents. Fast forward 7 days...still the account was blocked. Mind you when I called back to find out what was going on the customer service number gave nothing but a recording stating "we see you have called several times about this account and there has been no change. It takes two days to review documents" and then it would hang up on me!!! I COULD NOT GET THROUGH TO A LIVE PERSON!! Finally I resorted to their facebook support page. I got a message back stating they now needed a copy of my check and the direct deposit form and again was told it would take 2 days to review the documents. Fast forward 12 days and STILL NO MONEY AND NO WAY TO TALK TO SOMEONE!!! It has now been 2 weeks and they still have my money. I messaged them again and demanded they send the money back to the ranch. This time I was told in order for them to do so they would need a letter on company letterhead requesting the money be returned AND it would take another 10 days to process!! STILL AM UNABLE TO TALK TO A LIVE PERSON!! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!! Never trust GreenDot.com!!! I am totally in on a lawsuit! They have almost $1300 of my money! #downwithgreendot

    My wife and i are bout to be thrown out of the hotel we are staying at I've been on the phone all day since 10 this morning after my 4 mile hike back from Walmart cause they locked my account. that is all our cash we don't know what to do again they have every penny we have..we need help now sent my id they giving the runaround saying they cant unlock the account...at our wits end here...

    @GlenAlden call and or e-mail file a complaint with the attorney general in your state and the BBB green dot has to respond to them for/about your money you can also go to top-class actions lawsuits.com and see what you have to do for a class action lawsuit I'm sure there's a thousand people on here that are willing to do that

    Green Dot has my card blocked and Ive completed all steps. There was NEVER any fraudulent activities on my card. They put a block on my card and Ive sent in my drivers license front and back along with my phone number to verify my identity. Its been past 48 hrs and the hold is still there. I want my card unlocked. Greendot is not doing things right! If my card isnt unblocked I will sue. I mean that. My name is Sheena Brown Oree my cell is 404-594-9669. case # 12921184
