Dollar General bad management toward vendors/customers

First of all me and my family are very loyal customers. Today my grandson and I were in Dollar General in Hazel Green AL. While shopping you could hear the manager yelling at the Coke Delivery man. He was loud, cussing and belittling the delivery man in front of the whole store. He was shouting that the delivery man was too stupid that the only place would hire him was Coke.
Never in my life have I been to a business where you saw and heard the manager act as he did. The delivery man's face was red of embarrassment, had a shocked look on his face and actually didn't bite back at the manager which by the way his name is Marty. I will not go in that store ever again! This isn't the first time the manager has acted this way toward evndors. But it's the first time my grandson had to hear and witness this. Totally lost my families business.

Dollar General no customer service

This is the worst dollar general I've been into. Every time you go in no one is at the register. You have to yell to get waited on. The store is just a mess. No organization. And the outside lights and inside lights are always off. Every night for a year now . And when you ask why her response was we are only open one more hour no point in turning them back on. Many people of the town think the store is closed and they turn around and leave.

Dollar General digital coupons

On May 21, 2018 at appr. 3:30 pm EST I shopped at my local DG store at 11400 N Preston Hwy, Louisville, KY 40229. I showed the manager on duty the signs displayed on the shelf by Downey showing 4.00 - 2.00 w/ digital coupon =2.00 total. There was not a digital coupon available on the app. (verified by the cashier).

I asked the manager on duty if she could make the adjustment. She told me that I did not have a digital coupon. I told her that one was not available. She told me that the discount displayed was good with only a digital coupon. I was flashing back to unpleasant occurrences at the Dept. of Motor vehicles with all the double-talk coming from her mouth. When I told her that it was not my job to program DG's site so I could have a coupon to apply. She told me that she could not apply discount anyway. What really got under my skin was her attitude in "whewing" me to customers as I left the store with the other items that I purchased. If she had simply told me; sorry sir, that ad should have been removed from our shelves since a coupon didn't exist, I would have been fine. Personally, I would have honored the displayed price anyway. BTW. I have managed corporate retail stores in the past and this is the first time I have ever contacted "corporate" regarding unpleasant shopping experience. Your manager on duty would be best suited for a career in government.

Dollar General digital coupons

I went to dollar general store #02668 today and used digital coupons and paper coupons. All my digital and paper coupons worked except my $5 off $25. My 2 sister's was behind me and theirs didnt work either. And we had spent enough to meet the requirements after store savings and instant savings. Im just wondering if this can be resolved. Im sure I'm not the only one with this complaint. Dollar general will lose my business if this cant be resolved.

Dollar General unprofessional and discourteous behavior

1445 S Main St, Marion, VA 24354 is the store location I am speaking of in this complaint. Do not go in there and pay with anything higher than a $5 dollar bill or you will be scoffed at, and they will check it with a marker like you're some sort of felon.

Also, corporate keeps revolving the employees around these local stores (Marion, Atkins, Chilhowie, Adwolfe) and the turn over rate is high, so you keep having people in all of these stores unable to tell you where things are because it's always the same sob-story "I'm new here, they moved me over".
Perhaps if you took better care of your employees, they wouldn't in-turn treat the customers with blatant disrespect. That, and actually hire people who don't look like a motorcycle hell's angels gang member. That's who they currently have in this store right now, and he will act like you have ruined his day if you try to pay with anything over a $5.

I'll continue to go to Walmart, where they don't treat me like a leper.

Dollar General feminine products

Since march i've noticed that this store only carries regular maxi pads in the store brand. You stock and carry always, kotex, and playtex but not in a regular maxi pad. This store is a trap to push their own brand over what's needed. I will contact these brands and explain to them how this store doesn't stock their product to ensure dollar general brand sells. This is a ftc issue so i'll contact the trade commission also.

Dollar General employee

There is a manager at this particular store that I know for a fact that many of people have complained about, he has no business managing any store. I've witnessed him say stuff to my own children when they were doing nothing wrong and even if they were my wife and I were both present and very capable of handling any issue with them that we think may need taken care of. Also know that he has yelled at other people's children, I shop all over the state of Kansas with my children and have never had any employee say anything to them, first of all if the parents are present there is absolutely no reason for someone to take it upon themself to say anything. Secondly this guy is just a rude man that has no business being a manager. I also know that many of people have complained about this man, his name is Joey (not sure of last name). I just cannot understand how he is still employed. It's been so nice have a dollar General I our small town but I'm to the point as well as many others that we don't want to shop there anymore because of the manager.

Dollar General air conditioning during hot weather months

All Dollar general stores in Glasgow, KY need the air conditioning turned way down so that it is cooler in the building. There are customers, employees, and vendors that are complaining everyday. It is so hot in these stores that you are wiping sweat off as your shopping or as you are working. This is ridiculous to be in a business that has money and they can't turn the air conditioning down so that the employees or vendors or the customers don't have a year stroke. I am a vendor for Dollar General and I take a shower in my own sweat as I am in these buildings because it is ridiculously hot in them. This is why so many employees quit because Dollar General does not have respect, but I bet the ones sitting in that corporate desk is cool as can be making bug money while the slaves inside the retail stores are on verges of heat strokes. Maybe one day if someone had a heat stroke in a store then y'all might turn the air conditioning down!

Dollar General woman manager at dollar general colrain road greenfield ma

I was in the store today 5/20/2018 doing some shopping when I observed this woman whos the store manager be completely disrespectful and utterly rude to one of her employees whom I think his name is Wesley. He was trying to help another woman employee by helping ring out customers when the manager came up and told him he needs to be working on things in the back and that the other employee can ring out the customers. I felt so bad because this woman employee was trying to blow up 2 separate balloon orders and try to ring customers out at the same time because the manager wanted to be rude and disrespectful towards her employees which is completely unexceptable! I saw 3 different people throw there stuff down and just leave because of how long the line was and the poor cashier had to do it all by herself. I'm not the only one who saw all this there was numerous people in line and couldn't believe what had just happen. this all happen between 10am and 1130am.

Dollar General stashed coca cola products

On May 19, 2018 at approximately 8:30 p.m. I entered Dollar General Store #15867 located at 1100 Pecan Avenue in Philadelphia, MS. My purpose for the visit was to purchase moisturizer for my hair, dishwashing liquid and at least three Coca Cola 12-pack products that were advertised on sale for $8.

As I walked through the door I noticed that the normal display of sodas was only empty pallets. I proceeded to the beverage wall and it was empty of Coke products also. So I continued walking around the store to see if there was an end-cap display of Coke products in the store. As I walked around, I noticed a buggy full of Coke products in the employee only area. One of the swinging doors had been left open. I went to ask an employee by the name of Tracey if I could have three 12-packs of Cokes from that buggy. Her first response to me was "Those belong to my boss. She paid for them the other day but hasn't had a chance to load them in her car yet." I looked at her really odd and she then said "Well let me step outside and call her and see if she still wants them." (Why wouldn't she want them if they were already paid for and why would anyone leave anything behind that's already paid for?) Needless to say, when she came back to speak to me again she said "Coke pulled them from the shelf because they were damaged, they got wet, I can't sell them to you, sorry." (Why would the Coke vendor be leaving damaged goods behind anyway?)

Needless to say I didn't get any Coke products or dishwashing liquid but I did get pictures to verify my experience. As you can see in the attached photos there was no damage to the boxes and none of the boxes were wet. Because of "special favor" I was unable to get Cokes at the advertized price or use my $1 off digital coupon.

Dollar General manager

I was shopping in dollar general with my sister and I had looked at kids clothes and picked a. Few outfit to show my sister we were shopping for a baby shower gift. But my sister didn't want to get them so I put back so I go into the bathroom to get tissue and come out and proceed to sit out side on the bench while my sister finished shopping only for my sister to say she heard the manager and another employee tryin to accuse me of shoplifting in which I feel disrespected.i feel the manager is racist because we weren't the only ones in the store but we were the one been watched and then she the white manager proceed to fall us all the way out side like she was pushing carts to see the vehicle we were in

Dollar General graffiti on side of the building

There is large white lettering that goes down most of the length of the side of the building clearly visible from the street and looks trashy. It is a eyesore to the neighborhood and to the building. It has been for a long time and needs to be removed from the building and it seems like nobody cares. It is hard to shop there when there is graffiti.

Dollar General manager rude

I have chrohn's a clerk left me use the bathroom and she did tell me normally do not let the public use it I actually have a card from the dr requesting the use of a bathroom as I came out danielle adams charles who I actually know jumped me bathroom is not for public use she has had messes to clean up the bathroom was clean when I left although I had to leave a pair of washed and rinsed underwear wrapped in paper towels in the waste can as I had nothing to put them in she also pointed out the merchandise back there like I was a thief but didn't look to see if I had any thing I am sure she was disappointed I didn't mess up the bathroom I was really surprised at her rudeness and anger especially since I know her I will never go in that store again

Dollar General coupons

So I have stopped using all of your dollar general stores in poplar bluff mo. I am a couponer I do this to save money because I have a big family. I have always used my coupons on the exact product. I am not sure why but you have employee's that do not like us couponers. The last time I tried to shop at your Manson mall store my coupon beep but was the right product. I had two of the same item and the casher said ahe could only take one coupon per transaction even though the coupons stated limit to. I. Have heard that stores get face value of coupons plus 7% so I am not sure why there not be honored I would love if you would email me your new policy for coupons but not sure I will be back my email address is [protected]@ yahoo.com

Dollar General cashiers

Hey, my name is Sean and I live around the corner to the store (dollar general) off feagin mill in warner robins, GA and I go to the store on a regular basis and 5/17/2018 1:10 pm I was in the store asking if I could break a $20 for 2 $10's and there was 2 black ladies working at the cashier resister and they turn ask each other what today was and then proceeded to not even bother look in the drawer and tell me they had no $10's and I ask if I could get 4 $5's then and they said store policy not give out change and then started to laugh at me or snicker and said I had buy something if I wanted change and I said peace and left and they started laugh at me on my way out. I felt rather insulted and I do plan to call and figure out what the hell the store issue? do you guys hire black woman just so you can have them insult your white male costumer or what the hell? and I hope you fire these 2 B (W) itches!

Dollar General hwy 80 phenix city alabama

I went into the store looking for clothes hangers. My son and I searched and could not find. Then we finally saw someone on an aisle playing on his phone. So I ask, "do you work here"? His reply was no, he then laughed and said "yeah, I work here". He directed me towards the clothing hangers, I picked up a few more items and proceeded towards the register. I wasn't sure which one to go to because both were cluttered and nowhere to place my items. I waited atleast 3 minutes before asking the employee to check me out. He then told me I was at the wrong register and needed to get at the right one of I wanted to be checked out. Extremely rude! I liked dollar general and shopped there regularly, until now!

Dollar General stephanie (hwy 51 manager)

Hello,

My name is Kristen Polk and I was offered a job at the new Dollar General in Ridgeland, MS on Hwy 51. The manager who hired me was Stephanie . I initially wanted to work at the County Line store, but was informed that the new store (Hwy 51) had just lost 4 people and was in need of dire help . I then went up to the Hwy 51 store to ask about a potential job at that specific store and Stephanie claimed that my application was Not on file which I knew she was lying . After leaving, I got a call from her about 30 mins later stating that she did see my app and she told me I was hired and sent me my new hire packet . The next day I received my new hire packed but realized the social was incorrect . I called HR and they cancelled the new hire packet and informed me that the manager would have to send a new one . I tried calling Stephanie to tell her this information but she ignored and ignored my calls . I then went up to the store to inform her of what HR said and she told me that she would send a new packet whenever she got the chance . It has been a week and I still have not received a packet . People should really be upfront and not play when it comes to these jobs . If she didn't want to send a new packet again she should have told me . We all have bills and honestly it is not fair . I hope this woman is fired and she really shouldn't be a manager . That's why she is losing so many people . You cannot do people wrong and expect good to come out of it . What goes around comes around .

I worked with Stephanie for 18 months at a different store. She is as good as her word. I'm sure she has been busy and will do as she says when she has time. I would suggest that you go back by the store in person and talk to her. Dollar General works their managers long hours and often with less than needed staff so I know from experience that she has to be busy. My personal experience after working with her on a daily basis is that she will hire you if she feels that you are suitable for the job and if not she will tell you so.

Dollar General the service i'm complaining about is the restrooms

I went to one of your stores and had to use the bathroom because I have a weak bladder and the employee said that the customer's weren't allowed to use the bathroom. Well by that time I already had an accident in my shorts. So I'm going to contact who ever I can, to see what I can do about this situation. Just to let you know that you lost me as a customer, and I'm going to let all my friends know not to shop their.

Dollar General dollar general #13804 employee

Ive recently been shopping at the dollar general store number 13804. in newman ca 95360. There is this rude associate there that goes by the name TED or TEDDY. Everytime i shop there and i go by him he smells so much like herion ive been in recovery for over 20 years. And i know a addict when i see one. He is rude to customers and employees. And over all looks and acts like a junkie. How he's still working there just dosent adds up. Enough is enough thoe. I just hope someone reads this and puts a stop to this.

Dollar General was kicked out for no reason

I walked in to the new dollar general on why 18 south. With the money in my hand to purchase dish detergent... A female employee walked up to me and said get out of my store I then ask the lady why, she replied I think u were trying to steal out of my store... Im im asking u to leave and never cone back... I asked her what did she think I was trying to steal and she could not tell me anything. When I asked her when she thought I was trying to steal she said last week... I have been in there every day buying cat food and drinks and cigs... Neither of them can fit into some ones pocket... The lady was kinda tall skinny with brown hair... I dont know her name but I my self am six foot six 350 pounds with short dreads... What do I look like trying to steal im not that dumb im very noticable... I feel like she was singling me out because im afro american... Belive me its not a good feeling especially when I buy everything I work seven days a week... I have no need to steal but me I think she has me messed up with the wrong person.
