CVS Mesa Verde, CA / buying a syringe
I have a prescription for medication that can only be administered with a syringe. I've had this prescription for about a year and CVS sells me the medication and syringes so I can inject the medication. A CVS Pharmacists (new to my store) refused to sell me syringes without a "prescription". She had already looked up my "prescription" on her computer to "validate" my medication that requires a syringe. She told me "I would need a prescription for "syringes" - separate from the "medication" prescription". I've never heard of this before. Why wouldn't my doctor not know he would need to write "two" "prescriptions"? One for the medication and one for syringes to administer it. I asked the Pharmacist if she could tell me CVS's policy regarding the sell of syringes. She said she would not. And called the store manager to deal with me. I still have no idea how I can get syringes from CVS anymore. Does anyone have any info?
You an always get them off the streets from the drug dealers. Make sure they are not used first.
Call your doctor and ask?
