As a loyal premium Costco member and business owner myself, I have observed your staff at the Astoria Queens location and am shocked by the way a some of the food sample staff have treated your customers. In particular there is a man on your staff in the 3250 Vernon Blvd location who passes out food samples (white older male 40-55, brown curly hair with beard, glasses) and repeatedly snaps and insults customers with a shocking attitude that makes it clear he is angry, aggressive and mentally unfit as an employee.See Top 10 Worst Companies in Long Island City, NYThis is actually a report of several observed occasions over the past year of this staff member engaging in similar conduct and finally we decided it would be in the best interest of the company to bring this to light. Certainly we do not know of the working conditions, but your customers are no place for employees to take out aggression and it's extremely unsettling to see his interaction with children as well. As a loyal customer and business owner, I feel a responsibility to report this. From a management perspective, it seems there was either a misstep in the hiring process or lack of education on company philosophy to their employees, especially those in customer-facing roles. Each member of your staff is representative of your company as a whole, and believe the rest of the staff at this location deserves to be appraised of these kinds of incidents to move forward and provide the kind of service their customers pay for and deserve.
