Costco Wholesale Corporation / tax charge on sale products

Review updated:

I purchased a computer that was on sale. When I got to the register they charged me sales tax on the original purchase price which was 150.00 more, rather than on the sale price. I asked about this and was told it was store policy. So, I rarely check the tax on my receipts but have I been overcharged on sales tax on all the sale purchases I have made over the years??? Something stinks bad here.

Illegal. Report it to your state tax department. Taxes are paid on purchase price not original price. The store reports sales to the tax department not other figures. Example: 100 computers at $150=$15, 000 and taxed on that amount. NOT 100 computers at $199=$19, 999. They are stealing from customers.
