Burger King deceptive advertising

The commercials for the new loaded steak sandwich are totally disgusting. They are a "turn off" The language and the attitude portrayed do not make the sandwich appetizing. Based on these commercial, I would never purchase one.

On 2/27/09 My wife and I drove to the Buger King in Bolivar Tn. store #11384, I looked at the menue and decided to try the double stack cheese burger combo priced at $5.90, the large board to the side of the menue showed the value of the three burgers showing the whopper combo at $4.90 (no cheese) #2 was the double stack with cheese for $5.90 which I ordered as she rang it up she charged me fo cheese, I stated cheese came with the burger, she stated no I pointed the photo and stated it clearley shows it comes with cheese and stated so, she charged me any way, I m not worried about $.20 cents, but if you do that to everone over a period of time and double charging it would mean a lot of unfair profits, and a lot of false advertising.

Burger King was a favorite place for my husband and I to eat. However, now I think he would be as appalled by the rude, crude advertisement as I am. I don't think violent, rude behavior is necessary to sell a worthwhile product.
I am happy to see that the woman slapping the young man who got a steak burger simply because he was hungry has been removed, however she is still rude in speaking to him. It certainly does not make me want to order one though they look delicious.

Not only will I not order the new advertised burger, the unacceptable advertising has led to my boyfriend and I boycotting Burger King all together. How horribly scarey to see violence as help to sell food.

Burger King filthy dirty dinning room and bathroom

My family and I were traveling from Baton Rouge La. to Bay St. Louis Ms. on 07/03/2008 to visit our relatives for the long fourth of July weekend. We stopped in Hammond because that is about the half way mark. I decided to go in to use the bathroom and sit down and eat and let the kids out of the car for a little while. We noticed as soon as we walked into the store that it was quite hot but decided that we would stay because of the construction on the roads. My 6yr old daughter and I proceeded to the bathroom and it was FILTHY. I cleaned up enough to let her go to the bathroom we washed and quickly exited the restroom. While we were in restroom someone was in the stall next to us for a while and left the bathroom without washing up (later I found out that this was a friend of the Manager on duty, and was handing things over the counter where the food was being prepared... YUCK!). We ordered and waited for our food. We went to sit down but there was not one clean table or chair in the dining room. we had to get wet napkins to wipe down the table so we could put the food down. I opened my fish sandwich and it looked like a black grease sponge and the fries were re-fried I took the stuff back up to the counter to get fresh. This is when I saw the lady from the restroom handing the cell phone (that she had been playing and aggravating everyone with) back to the manager who was helping to prepare all the food. I can't believe I ate anything that came from that store and I am very interested in finding out what BK is going to do about it.

Burger King poor service, dirty store & rudeness

I visited a Burger king restaurant in Smiths Falls, ontario... The place was disgusting, upon entry I noticed garbage cans over flowing, the girl on cash was sitting down and did not want to serve me till she was ready. When we ordered are food I observed the person preparing my meal wasn't wearing a hair net, gloves and the prep station wasn't the cleanest...

After I got my meal my wife and I went to a booth to eat and ended up stepping into pop spilled all over the table, seats and floor I noticed it had been there long enough that it was starting to dry... When I went to inform them the girl I spoke with gave me the excuse that it wasn't her job... Back in 1980 I trained for a management position in Kingston Ontario. We ran a tight ship there, we had a lady who looked after the dining area for mishap's which happened to occur... We were proud of our store...

The rest room in Smiths Falls was dirty, garbage all over it looked like a tornado went threw... When it comes to fast foods, I prefer Burger King over all the compaction, after the last visit I'm starting to wonder.., I've had other issues with the same restaurant and took them up with management, thats only good for so long then it's back to the same thing again...

I wish to keep on doing business with Burger King, I just hope you will do something about this one, it's giving you a black eye.

Thank-you for your time:
Terrance Trousdale

Burger King commercial

your recent commercial containing the line "you arrogant punk" is a degrading racist commercial. Why can't you have better taste? Surely there are better ways to sell your product. You should be ashamed.

I just heard a Burger King Radio Commercial and my jaw drooped. A man's voice going on about "you didnt study for that exam" you feel like a "king", you spent time with a buddy's girlfriends, you feel like a "king".. what the hell? You guys are promoting that not studying or taking school seriously will give you self-esteem and dating a friend's girlfriend is also a great thing?
Not even sure what's going on here.
See ya Burger King!

Our family is watching Nanny 911, Channel 15, Storm Lake Iowa on July 31 at 8:45. The commercial with the daddy Burger King and his son. WHAT is the purpose of showing him kicking his father? Is that what you are encouraging? Disrespect to parents? Why is he kicking his father? not that there is any good reason. Is it because the child doesn't want to eat healthy? Because dad just came home? Why is mom smiling? It's a terrible commercial. Secondly, you are sponsoring Nanny 911, which is dealing with dysfunctional families. And the commercial encourages that behavior!

Please revisit this portrait of family.

I'm just sicken with that new sponge Bob commercial. To think your trying to attract young children with this ad is just wrong. Don't kids have a hard enough time in today's world. With sex offenders that now there advertising square dancing with sex butts = kids meals. I will no longer do business with this company. I work with children daily and see the damage that happens when sex offenders get their hands on our children. This commercial is another avenue for offenders to use to gain trust in our kids. "Hey Suzy to want to go to Burger King and get a Square kids Meal?" How many kids would get excited and agree to go? People don't think how television affects our kids. Open your eyes and you will see. Obvious burger King writers weren't thinking when they came up with this commercial. Shame on them and Burger King. I will pass the world through our schools and family and friends. BURGER KING YOU REALLY BLEW THIS (SHAME ON YOU)

My wife and I saw your New commercial for the Sponge Bob Square Pants kids meal. I am outraged at the thought that you would have such an ad broadcasted knowing that small children are going to see such nasty sights and hear nasty words. What are you triing to do to our youth? Do you teach these things to your children? You might as well advertise drugs to them. Since its close to the same deal. Who ever set this commercial in motion needs a new job. Somewhere where they cannot curupt any child. GET YOUR COMPANY BACK ONLINE.

I am disgusted by the new "square butts" Burger king commercial! I find it very hard to believe that a so called "family restaurant" would put this kind of trash on the air. It is made even more offensive by the fact that it involves a cartoon character that children love! I've noticed lately that Burger King has been using sexual inuendo more and more in their commercials, but this one takes the cake. I certainly hope they see the light and scrap this commercial, and they can do away with that creepy looking "King" while they are at it. He looks like he should be starring in a horror movie. Burger King has lost this customer, and I''m not the only one!

Burger King terrible food and service

I visited the burger king #12906 on 6/19/08. I entered the store where there was only two other customers besides myself at the counter. I waited and waited for someone to ask me if they could take my order, but know one approached me. I finally asked if I could place an order from the young girl beside the counter and she replied if I wanted to order something. (Why else would I be standing there)? I finally had my order placed, waited on my food and sat down to a dirty table. The sandwich tasted old and the fries were cold and soaked in grease. I asked the manager for fresher fries and a new sandwich and she just walked off and never came back to the counter. I'll never step back into that store again. I think since the new Wendy's opened up down the street, I'll take my business to them.

I am 8 months pregnant I went to burger king in Edison on Oaktree Rd and Wood Ave for lunch. The manager was rude to me and my friend as she took the order. We pulled up to the window to pay I asked for change of a five dollar bill and the manager said she could not open the draw, she gave me my food I checked it and the fries were thrown in the bag upside down and I asked her to fix them and place them upright how can you serve someone like that just because you are busy she rolled her eyes at me. I get to work to eat my food I had a day old burger and it was suppose to be a double but it was a single the lettuce was brown soggy and old the tomatoes was deep red and soggy and rotten (remind you I am 8 months pregnant) the pickles were so old they didn't even have the sour taste to them. The mayo was all over the bottom of the burger along with the ketchup I had to throw my food away which was seven dollars i ate the fries and drank my drink and that was all until I got home from work to eat. I couldn't believe how rude the manager was in front of her workers to a customer what type of work environment is that especially to a pregnant woman how could you serve that kind of food especially to a pregnant woman I would hate to see what they are serving to the people that are not pregnant. I really thing you should not eat at the burger King on Oak Tree Rd and Wood Ave in Edison who knows what you might be eating or how old your food really is.

Burger King nasty, rude, cold food,

When order was taken, the person never did ask what you would like she only looked at me, never smiled, or even acknowledged me being there, I just told her what I wanted and gave her a ten she inturn gave me change, nothing said .
I then got my drink, the soda machine area was simply nasty, and no napkins!I then got my order and started to find a clean place to eat, Every table in the dining area was dirty, they all had crumbs or trash from other diners, and there was only 3 people other than me in there. So, I went back to the counter and asked for napkins, and again not a word or smile, nothing she handed me a couple of napkins and I returned to my table and wiped it off
I then sat down, the food was cold, and the fries were so hard you could hardly chew them.
I have never conplained about any restaurant before but, this one is horrible. burger king was my favorite, but now I don't think I will ever go to another one!

Burger King employees and customer service

Of all the burger kings I have visited, this one by for is the worse one for the kind of employees they hire. They look like that bunch, the movie, (One flew over the cookoo's nest) they stand outside the door, smoking, spiting, grabbing between their legs. Dirty looking, nasty. They just look like a bunch of rejects. I sat in my car while my wife went in, & watched. Some times they would be 3 or 4 out side at the same time. As I told my wife, this was our last visit to this place. This included both black & white kids. The burger is in johnson city, tn. Store #3621 (South roan st. Phone [protected]).

I used to own a BK franchise. I will never eat at a Burger King again. Period. The corporate structure is inept and most franchisees couldn't care less about how there stores are run. They run them as cheaply as possible, i.e. cheap labor = low productive, and uncaring employees. I choose Micky D's over BK always... at least they aren't in the headlines for employees launching snot rockets on customers food!

Burger King rude manager

Today I was in the drive thru and my order was messed up so I drive around go inside and tell the manager that I ordered my sandwich w/o mayo so he then looks at me and yells telling me that I didn't them b/c what I ordered was on the paper. I now for a fact that I said no mayo since I am allergic to it. Now is it my fault that they made a mistake. So I will never eat there again b/c for a manager to be so rude to paying customers is not exceptable. I work for a major hospital here in florence and they will know about it as well as my family and friends.

While traveling through Moab, we stopped at Burger King for a milk shake. The manager was berating an employee in front of costomers. He was also rude to the customer in front of me in line. The man paid and did not receive a burger and he also did not receive cups for his drinks. The manager acted as though the errors were his fault. When he waited on me, I gave him a $10.00 bill. He did not have the needed coins in the register and was rude to me and an employee because he had to get more change. This manager needs a course in how to treat employees and customers! Here's a copy of the letter I sent.

May 14, 2009

To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing to you to tell you why I will NEVER eat at Burger King again. One rude manager and your crappy Customer Service Relations have convinced me that Burger King does not need my money in this struggling economy.

I just tried to BUY (pay for with money you need) three kids meals from the Beretania Street Burger King (which is across from McDonalds – I will ALWAYS go there now) and one of your poorly trained managers was unbelievably rude to me.

I walked in and tried to buy ONE meal and purchase the other two toys separately, like I did the week before. The manager (rude, poorly trained, Filipino female, working at 4:20 PM) said I could not because they were running out of toys. I said ‘AWW, I did it last week” and I was about to order the other two meals when she said, right after I made my comment “You cannot, CASE CLOSED”.

I walked out and tried to get in touch with someone at your local office and they have not called back. I called Beretania at 4:42 to get the rude manager’s name. I informed her that I was writing this letter and calling the numbers listed because she was rude to me. She had the nerve to say she wasn’t rude. I told her about the “case closed” comment and she denied it saying “it was not in her vocabulary to say that” and that she had a witness (another worker). She said “fine, go ahead”, NOT APOLOGETIC AT ALL.

I wouldn’t have to write this letter, if you had a website with a complaints section like JACK IN THE BOX, MCDONALD’S, SUBWAY, PIZZA HUT and TACO BELL DO.

The customer is always right and JANET PASCUAL of Beretania Burger King DOES NOT KNOW THAT. She was rude, lied and egged me on to turn her name in. There are tons of hardworking people out there that deserve this job. JANET PASCUAL does not. I told her I would try to get her fired and I will.

I will be sending a copy of this letter to the headquarters of Jack in the Box, McDonalds, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, and Subway (all next to your Burger King). I hope they share this story in their MANAGER TRAINING SESSIONS as a NOT WHAT TO DO scenario.

I will also solicit local news stations to do a story on customer service and how important it is in this struggling economy for companies LIKE YOURS.

Janet Pascual failed in so many areas because she KNEW she could be rude, lie and DARE me to complain about her because she must not get reprimanded for her rude actions. Trained managers know how to deescalate a problem, big or small (like this one). Janet should have said ‘sorry you feel that way mama, is there anything I can do?” She is NOT supposed to let it get to this level.

I was not rude to her. I was willing to pay for the products I wanted. I was also willing to come back time and time again. Janet Pascual has lost my business for your company.

I am only one person with the resolve to make sure that everyone who will listen will hear this story and boycott Burger King as well. I HOPE when I tell this story it has somewhat of a happy ending in which I can say Burger King DID SOMETHING to ensure JANET PASCUAL doesn’t lose the corporation any more business with her rude, smug attitude.

Please contact me at my email: to inform me that you have done something to ensure that JANET PASCUAL will never be rude to another customer again. I don’t want or need an apology. I want action.

The manager told you they were running out of toys and you still insisted on getting the toys, I don't see any problem with how she reacted. You're acting irrational for not getting your way about a fast food toy that your children aren't even going to remember in a few years. And you say the "customer is always right, " clearly you never worked in fast food or retail; the customer is wrong 99.9% of the time because they're SELFISH (like yourself) So get over it, you want real toys - go to Toys R' Us and get your children a toy they're actually care about and remember.

Burger King got everything on my order wrong

I made a terrible mistake of driving through the Burger King just off I37 at Water Street in Corpus Christi. I ordered the following:
#4 (Whopper Jr, 1 side, 1 drink) without onion, side salad with ranch dressing instead of fries, and a dr. pepper.

I received the following:
Whopper Jr with onion, a wilted side salad with an expired day tag, no dressing, and an iced tea with melted ice.

How can this restaurant possibly get every single item wrong? The older man at the window was obviously not competent enough to do the job even if he did appear to be in a management position. Run him off and find someone who can handle it or close the doors. Absolutely pitiful, both in food and service. I will NOT go back, which is a shame because I do like their burgers. Beware BK, no company is immune to poor customer service in this day and age. If this is a franchise and not a corporate location, they surely are smearing the BK name.

Burger King poisoning food

I got food poisoning after eating a Burger King double cheese burger . I stopped at this location around 1pm for a quick bite and bought one double cheese burger. All of the other food that I ate that day and night my wife also had but she didn't get sick, only difference was that she didn't have Burger King that day. I didn't have to go to the hospital but was in bed all day after violently throwing up 4 times the next day. I don't often go to Burger King but I will never eat Burger King again.

Burger King poor product, rude managers and employees

I have been going to burger king on a weekly basis. The food quality is horrible no matter what time we go. We always get cold hashbrowns, cold fries, and old burnt meat. Each time that i go i ask for meat fresh off of the broiler and they never do it. How hard is it to please the customer. I am tired of calling and complaining. Managers at that restaurant they need to learn how to talk to their employees they are rude and disrespectful.

Sincerely a concerned customer.

Burger King broken tooth!

I stopped at the Burger King on Veterans Parkway on my way home from Bloomington. I live in Lincoln 30 miles away. I purchased a sausage/egg biscuit and when I took the first bite I knew my tooth had broke off. I pulled over and found that there was a bone in the sausage and it broke off 1/2 of my upper right molar. We do not have dental insurance and I am extremely upset.

Well I can agree with you. I am a former manaegr for BK in Anderson Sc.(Westwind Inc.) . It is a nasty company, They are nasty to there employees as well as their customers, They are not concerned about customer satisfaction, only the dollar. The owners where I worked never came to the store or talk with the customers when they were there, and really the only time you saw one was when something was wrong or money was short. I tell you consumers. Go somewhere else to spend your money if you live in Anderson County Sc.

Burger King french toast sticks

On April 4, 2008 @ 0854 hrs I went to the Burger King on James and Hollywood in Memphis, Tennesee. I went through the drivethru window and purchased an order of french toast sticks. Well, they were hard as through they were forgotten about in the microwave, but get this, the Manager gave them to me. It is totally unacceptable I realize sometimes in our rush to serve the service will go lacking. I did not return the food because I was in a hurry for work. Please let them know that people work hard for their money and want the best for it. Thank You

Burger King poor service, mistakes, wrong order, burnt food

I Have been to the restaurant 2 days in a row. Both times the employees were rude and would rather play with each other than take care of their customers. Today I went through the drive-thru and they forgot to give me my drinks. I went back and they treated me like I was bothering them. when I got home I found my food order was screwed up as well. I ordered king size fries and recieved 2 small orders. They burnt the sandwiches and made them wrong. These people need to get their acts together, and realize they are at work and not the playground. I have had it! I will never give business to Burger CRAP again!

Burger King terrible food!

My name is Chandra, and my boyfriend Tony, myself and our friend Brandon came two days ago for a free hot meal at St. Andrews Church, as none of us had what to eat at all that day, and due to Lent it was canceled, so being that we had to eat, we went to this place... lucky us. I am ashamed to admit it, but we got our order to go and ate it in the restaurant, as we were low on money. Our order consisted of four Whopper Jr sandwiches, two ice waters (my boyfriend and I do not drink soda) and an order of Mozzarella Sticks, and our friend got a Chicken Fries value meal. Not only did the cashier (Patricia) make us feel like compleat slime by telling another counterperson 'Make sure they get the clear cups', they also served us cold food with rotten-tasting mayonnaise, the mozzarella sticks tasted like breaded pencil erasers and they didn't even get my sauce right, Brandon's fries looked like dead worms that had been rolled in dirt, I tasted one of Brandon's Chicken Fries... blargggh.

Why, Father Thor, why? And the service was the worst I've ever seen, the crew stared at us like we were aliens and one terribly rude African-American cashier came up to Brandon (who is supersized and has schizophrenia and is a regular customer.) and informed him very rudely that he had not paid tax on his soda, and almost had him in tears. So we opened our food, and tasted it. What kind of ###s make this slop!?!? It was the worst thing I have ever eaten, and that is saying a lot if you've ever eaten my mother's cooking... I also believe that our poor treatment had to do with racism (the whole crew but Patricia were black) and stereotyping of my heavy metal lifestyle (I was wearing an Iron Maiden t-shirt and I have two pierced eyebrows) and my preference for slightly chubby guys with facial hair and my friend's weight (He is 6 foot tall and 330 lbs).

The long and short of it that this place is to be avoided at all costs, it's a ghetto dump and you're better off at the McDonalds down the road. Not worth the money. This place needs to shape up or ship out. Pure rubbish!

Many times I have eaten at Burger King in many different states.
I was recently at the one in Casper WY. Located at 81 SE. Wyoming blvd. The service was fair in the beginning. After waiting 20 min.
for the food, which was a sandwich only. There were less the two cars
in drive through and three other people in the store, all eating by now.
When I got my order it was body tempiture warm. I had to deal with the shift mgr. because the GM was not in. I asked if they cook te bergers there or are they cooked in advanced then frozen and shipped.
You know McDonolds dose this. She said NO they are cooked fresh.
Really I said. So if it is so fresh wy is mine cold? Are you telling me you don't just microweve them long after they are cooked? Yes she said. Then how come I see the guy in the assembly area putting ever sandwich in a microwaive. You just told me a direct lie!

As a result I will never visit a Buger King in Casper again.
Quite a shame concidering I live in this city.
I am boycoting Burger King and I advise ever person I know and will meet not to go there. I cant get a name or phone number for this district manager so this is they way I have to go.

I encourege everyone who reads theese Blogs to Boycot this company.
I have been in the food industry a few years on and off again, But at all the places I worked we would offer to refund the money back or offer some other compensation. Burker King on offered a week apology.

Burger King tape in my food!

On my 30 minute lunch break I went to Burger King and ordered whopper w/ cheese, fries and sprite combo meal. I returned back to enjoy my lunch and on my third bite into my Whopper I found a piece of tape about an inch long folded in half. I immediately went back to Burger King to show them what I found in my food. The manager Betty Joe Flemmings who also goes by BJ did not seem to be concerned. In fact, very nonchalant. I asked her "why would there be tape in food"? and her response was "I don't know". She never apologized or anything, she only returned my money. I was not satisfied with how she handled the situation so I explained to her I will call her back. When I called her back again she was not empathetic and again gave me a I don't care attitude. I explained to her that she seriously lacked Customer Service Skills and she became argumentative. I asked for her boss and she said she did not have one. She said she was the boss, and owns her workers. I found that very hard to believe especially on how ignorant she sounded while speaking to me. The fourth time I asked for her boss she finally gave me the name and said "fine the Owner's name is Frank Kilian" I have never been treated so rudely before. I could have swallowed the tape and who knows what type of bacteria is on that piece of tape. I also ended up being 10minutes late from my lunch break. I will not eat there again and believe me I am spreading the word in my office where there are 250 employees. This situation was UNBELIEVABLE!

Burger King terrible company!

I took my family of 5 to Burger King and as we walked to the counter we could see that yet again there was a sign up saying that they weren't taking credit cards as payment, this happens quite a lot there! So luckily we had money with us!

I ordered my children and Finances meals then ordered my own which was a veggie burger meal, and the girl took our money. Someone shouted from the back of the shop and the girl went to see what it was, she came back and told me that they had no veggie burgers left. I asked her what else i could get as i was vegetarian, she said i could have a spicy bean burger, which i promptly replied that they were cooked in where the chicken was cooked so i didn't class that as being vegetarian as i haven't eaten chicken in 20 yrs! This might i add came from someone who used to work in there, not that any of the notice boards or the staff would tell you! So i asked what else i could have and she just stood and shrugged her shoulders! I wasn't happy so i asked for my money back and said i would go to Mcdonalds instead! I asked for a milkshake and as usual they weren't working either!

When we want to sit down the tables were dirty and un washed as the cleaner who works there had finished at 7pm! I just wanted to go home but before i could go i had to sit and wait until my family ate their dinner without me! We go to burger king so the kids could use the softplay, but this is not the first time we've gone and they'd closed the softplay! When i asked the girl if it was going to re open, she said it had closed early and would not be re opening tonight! This was at 8pm on a sat night we were in, and while we were there 4 other family's came in with children and were also left disappointed their kids could not get to play! Even the kiddie ride was unplugged so they couldn't play on that!

I am very disappointed with the service at Queens Drive even if you go to the drive in, you normally have to go back in as 9 times out or 10 they get the order wrong! If they don't start smarting them selfs up then i wont be back and they will loose my customer as i take my family of 5 there nearly every weekend so i spend a lot at this place! I am so not happy!

Burger King customer service

On 2-21-08 at 830am, I went to burger king in marshville nc. At first I ordered a number #1 with a cup of grits. The employee yelled through the microphone"we don't have any grits" my wife heard her voice through the cell phone, I was talking to her on. Then she stated pull around nobody was at the first window, so I went to the second window. She wavied me back to the first window. I waited somemore until the same person came to the first window. She told that my total was 3.19 and I gave here a ten dollar bill straight from the teller from my wallett. She gave my 1.81 cents back and I said I gave you a ten dollar bill, she stated that I didn't, I gave her a five dollar bill. She stated that she only have two tens in her draw? I asked for my money back she gave me a wrinkled five dollar bill back. It is impossible for the money to be wrinkled, the money came straight from the teller. I was the only one in line at this time. You tell me? Instead of fussing about five dollars that burger king stole from me by a employee because I am surely blessed. I called back to the burger king to get the 1-800 number to call and camplain about what just happened. I was placed on hold by the same employee for four minutes. She stated that she was the manager on board?

Burger King the drive-thru guy stole my change

I visited the store at the drive-thru. I had a balance on my gift card of $2.13. The employee at the window initially told me I had no balance and the card was empty. I told him I had just called the 1-800 number on the card and know I had a balance. He still insisted the card did not work. So I said if she wasn't going to use it then give it back to me. He said it was empty and I didn't need it. When I began to make a fuss he walked over to a female manager and spoke to her. Then he swiped the card in a machine. Magically I was then told the gift card worked. Initially the drive thru employee told me my total was 13.98, after processing the gift card-- my new balance was--13.98. When I explained that was not possible-I said the balance would be reduced by the gift card. He then told me my new balance was 12.00. I said this wasn't right either. If I first owed 13.98 and I used a gift card containing 2.13 my new total would be 11 something. As I was disputing this the female manager came over and manually subtracted and came up with the total of 11.86 (it is actually 11.85 by the way). I handed the drive thru guy cash in the amount of 20.36-- he calculated my change at 8.16. At this point I am super angry and I explain this is NOT the correct amount of change. It is very clear to me they WERE NOT using their cash registers (and pocketing the cash) and I demanded my correct change. At this point I am being loud, the female manager came over and said-- you need to go and shut the drive thru window on me. I am beyond mad now and start yelling louding, "excuse the f#$% out if me for asking for my correct change back". Yelling got me no where. Now I wonder what they could have done to my food. I end up tossing it for fear one of them spit in it at the McD's instead next door.

So this happened on a Tues night-- I don't have time at work to call the next day and speak to the day manager (who is normally higher up) and call Thursday to speak to a manager. He is not shocked about this and actually discloses the female manager does not work there as of the day after my visit (I guess they figured out she was stealing). He asks what he can do for me. I tell him I don't want to play this game, just tell me what he is going to do. He tells me next time I come in, he will refund my money AND replace the food. He takes my full name and phone number.

So Sat 2/2/2008 about 8pm I send my husband over. He give my name and explains what he is there for. No one knows anything about this and can't help him. He is told no one wrote anything in the book. He explains what happened on Tues and they guy in charge today (Rodolpho) doesn't seem to want to help or make good on the store manager's offer now. My husband is there for about half hour trying to get them to call the Thursday morning manager to no good. He leaves empty handed.

So this morning Sun 2/3 about 8am I call and ask to speak to the store manager- I get Monica today and explain what happened last night, Thursday morning, and Tuesday night. She said she knows nothing about this and is busy and tells me to call back later.

I am beyond angry now. What is wrong here? Money has been taken from me and NO ONE at this Burger King seems to care. I realize it is NOT alot of money-- but I am sure it would be against the law if I went around and took 50 cents from every person I saw. This is beyond ridiculous but I don't want to drop the issues because it makes what they did ok.

I know this was a while back, but I'll comment anyways.

I would NOT have played this little game with them. I would have called corporate, written every nasty review on every possible website, and probably stood outside of that BK letting all the customers know it was a rip-off place. There is absolutely NO reason for the way they treated you, and no reason for ex-employees to be there. What a nasty place.

I have never had that bad of an experience, but if I do have bad experiences, I write a "nice complaint" email to corporate--forget the manager of the store--and if that doesn't work, I get nasty. I keep emailing & keep getting nastier until I threaten to write reviews and such. They don't like that.

Somehow, they always call or write, sending dozens of coupons or vouchers, kissing my a$$ to high Heaven.

I hope in the years since, you have had better experiences.

a similar thing happened to me at Peet's coffee. the worker pocketed my card and gave me a blank one - and Peet's corporate (who I phoned AND emailed) had absolutely NO interest in this when I tried to tell them!
From now on I am xeroxing (front and back) any gift card I get. Thank you for letting me know of your experience at BK.
