DCgirl it has been pointed out tons of times that the deal is one kids meal per one adults meal. The OP did not know the policy and not only that she blamed her abusing her children due to the policy. Also her eleven year old son admitted the mother was lying and she made another excuse to beat him.

Many times the individual store owner makes his own policies. I don't agree with this because if Burger King is advertising something, then all the franchises need to honor it. For instance, there are some franchises that charge more for certain items on the menu than others. I don't like this and therefore I don't use the particular franchises in question. Complain to the franchise owner and to Burger King corporate headquarters. The franchise owner will not want to lose business (especially if many people complain and don't eat there anymore) and the corporate headquarters will not want to have bad press.

WOW! You are actually blaming Burger King for you abusing your children? You need a Psychiatrist and Child Protective Services a lot more then you need to worry about what Burger King is doing. Also, if you can afford to throw out food does it really matter what it cost?

Also there is not way this person is old enough to drive let alone a parent. Then again people can have children at 12. However I think this letter was just originally written as a school assignment or something, then later the author turned it into a joke with the comments about it making her so angry that she beat the crap out of their children and broke their favorite toys. Only someone who is in middle school would use the arguement you gave in the last time. No self respecting adult would be like this knowing last time they did a favor. If that is the case she is a very poor role model for her children for not being thankful for the favor and throwing a temper tantrum(as she said by one of her responses, because she did not get her way.

Anonamouse, normally I would say it is the principal of the matter, however TMH was wrong in the first place, it is one kids meal per adult meal. I don't think this is a real letter though because she mentions beating her children up over this.

However whatever the case may be it WAS HER who posted, and she should be ashamed to even joke about abusing her children. Child abuse is a serious matter, not a joke, and if she really was a parent she would not be making a joke on this. Shame on tmh.

If she is a parent, I wonder does she call her children stupid, and swear at them. If this letter was for real was she as rude to the BK employees as she is to everyone who posted on her letter, and I am not dumb, it is obviously that "grandpa" character is the same person. They both stopped posting the same day. Either way this person is teaching her children to be rude, and disrespectful, which is a poor lesson to teach them. She has a two year old and is acting like one herself, I wonder if she uses profanity in front of her children. Hopefully the father gets those kids(if this is even real) before it is too late.

Don't worry the manager did nothing to discipline "Ryan". Maybe instead of clogging your lungs and veins with BurgerKing you should sit down and have a good old fashion meal with your kids. Let them know that you love them with a healthy meal instead of processed cow ###.

I do not make a habbit of making a complaint for any company unless it's extremely appropriate. My young children love Sponge Bob. The fact that Burger King's commericial makes rediculously lude gesters toward "boody" and sexy woman's butts is offensive at best and tasteless to the point of never eating there again at worst. If they used a little taste and family appropriateness next time maybe they wouldn't lose customers that have been eating there they're whole lives!

The new Burger King commercial for the Spongebob meal is just awful. I do not think little children need to see rump shaking just so that parents can be badgered for a meal. Do you want your little girls shaking her rump in grandpa's face? I guess it's true..anything for a buck.

Disgusting. You want parents to buy a kids meal with a commercial like that. I have a 2 year old and when that commercial comes on I turn the channel. I do not approve of this and will not eat at a Burger King that advertises somthing that disgusting. If you want parents to buy a kids meal with a toy in it then make it more down to earth where the children can watch it on tv. Your advertisers need to be fired for who ever came up with that dirty, nasty, commercial.

So sorry that we live in such a prude country that people think that the infamous SpongeBob commercial is lewd or morally objective. I had to go back and Google the commercial (*that's* how much of an impression it made, I don't even remember it) to see what the hee haw was about and quite frankly, I still don't see the issue. In Europe, it is commonplace to have nudity in commercials - something our Puritan founded society would surely object to.

Here is a thought: maybe you should teach your children about sex at an early age instead of pointing fingers and calling it the devil's work; then maybe you won't have to worry about when your child comes home knocked up / has gotten someone knocked up because you tried to hide the truth about sex or shelter them. Don't believe me? Look at the teenage pregnancy rate in the Netherlands, where sex is much more prevalent in the media, versus the United States. Of course, there is something that could be said about the drug laws there that applies to America (legalization) but that that is a different topic all together.

Time to grow up and join the rest of the world, America.

Ok, first of all I wanted to say that I am a father of two; a boy and a girl. I think all of you are leading (and in effect, forcing your children to lead) very sheltered lives. It's a commercial, about a cartoon sponge for christ's sake. Kids aren't going to look at it in a manner of "sexual exploitation", or whatever you would want to call it. The fact is, kids find stuff like that funny. I remember when I was growing up with my brother and sister, as sick as it may sound, the subject of butts and pretty much anything involving them was satire. That remained the same with kids at my school, and even younger cousins and nephews/neices of mine today. The way I see it, is that the world is not getting more desentized ( as whistleblower put it), but rather people are getting more uptight about things. Subjects such as sex, profanity, and violence only have as much power as you give them. One thing I've noticed from friends and people I know, is that if you make a big deal of things of controversy, then often the children will treat them as such. Often times when they grow older, they will also go against what you teach them as kids, and embrace what you see as "bad" or "immoral". I saw it happen with a couple of my friends who grew up in strict Christian homes. I just wish people were more open-minded and weren't "appalled" at the drop of a damned hat.

I too am disgusted with this commercial! I do not have kids and I still will refuse to eat at Burger King just because of the message they are sending. You are right, their web site does not allow emails .. but their corperate number is listed : [protected], and first thing in the morning I plan on being on the phone and telling them just what I think of their shameless production!

I went to the Burger King home site to complain about their Sponge Bob commercial but they do not accept e-mails. Good thing for them as I'm sure this commercial would result in a flood of complaints. Not since Wendy's and their Hot 'n Juicy campaign, which showed dogs licking the grease off of kids faces, have I seen such a complete lack of corporate responsibility! If this is the direction in which Burger King is headed, then they obviously don't want my business. And, I'm happy to comply!

I'm mad because when you buy something & get your receipt it says on the back to go online to do a survey & get a CODE for a FREE WHOPPER Sandwich or Original Chicken Sandwich. When I tried it they came up with (I'm sorry but we have completed our survey for this month. Please try again later. I bought an item again & tried to do the survey & got the same response. VERY discouraging. I won't go there as often as before. I will go to McDonald's, KFC & Jack N The Box. They never have given me a problem as long as I buy something in order to get my FREE item.

--Buarger king is full of ### ...I was employed at the restaraunt in Bolivar tn and was terminated and A whole lot more is fixinfg to be fired for the same issue im thinking of forming a protest against them and getting the news involved on this issue because it is very unfair that people with kids and family with only that income has to suffer for that paticular reason. I understand that you had a problem, where you waited too long for your food and you found hair in it when you got it. We all found hairs in our food, but we are talking about Burger king and you're getting upset, just find another place to eat and move on, I'm sure they aren't losing much if you're changing your food options. I am so disappointed in Burger King's production and display of the square pants commercial.
At first sight, I thought it was a little funny. However, on further consideration, I feel the tone of the commercial is more conducive to a liquor, condom or sensual lubricant commercial. I feel it should not be shown during prime time if at all.
I do not want my 4 and 5 year old grandsons to see this commercial just as I do not want them to start looking at women as strictly sexual objects and making fun of certain body parts.
I have decided to turn off any television program running the commercial. This has been pretty difficult since it runs during some of my favorite shows. I have been watching a lot of PBS recently.
I do miss going by Burger KIng for my Whopper Jr with Cheese meal. I really do no like going to McDonalds or Wendys. I just cannot make myself go through the BK drive in because all I hear is that stupid commercial in my head. Pity.
I do not own BK stock, but if I did I would sell it immediately, even at a loss.
I realize Burger King has invested a lot of money in this commercial. We all make choices, and we enjoy or suffer the consequences of those choices.
Please, stop running the commercial so I can start watching my favorite shows again and start enjoying your fine food products.

If you’re shocked or annoyed by this commercial, my question to you is; where have you been hiding? When considering the question of culture, a valid question is “Who makes culture?” Here’s your answer; Burger King and the ad agency Crispin Porter + Bogusky. Both kids and adults WILL eat this up. The ad agency has cleverly and humorously connected objectification of women with cheap fatty meat and toys. What’s the problem? Isn’t this the culture you’d enjoy living in?

For me, this is really a question of culture and who we pay to create the culture and who we discourage, by neglect, to contribute to the culture. How about schools teaching some legitimate creativity and genuine critical thinking.

When it comes to the welfare and spiritual well-being of your children, griping about about a BK commercial on a blog isn’t near good enough. The reality is; this is what you bought into, and sadly, so have I.

How about considering the quality of education our kids are getting. I know part of being an American (in this current culture anyhow) is your assumed right to be too busy to have a voice. Burger King is teaching your children something, I look down my nose at you and say “wake up!” You might at least consider letting the AD AGENCY (Crispin Porter + Bogusky) and BURGER KING know what we thinbk about their funny little commercial:

I do not appreciate the "smart alec" commercials being aired by Burger King. We should be trying to teach children to be respectful of others. It is entirely unacceptable to show adults using objectional language and actions. "Arrogant punk" is by not means acceptable nor is it acceptable for a the "Burger King" to be kicked on the shin by the child posing as his child.

You are dumb. take responsibility for your own children. I do. I have never once blamed anything, especially a fast food chain, for something my kids have done. Get a grip, ###. If this is what is going to mold them, you have failed as a parent!

Something else we could do is write the television stations requesting they discontinue the commericals based on the fact that they market this way to children. Not only do we not want our children eating this mess, we sure as hell don't want them attracted to it by means of continued denigration of 1/2 the population. If it were a bunch of African American men tap dancing around among white men who are eating the burger ( or slop) being revered by the black men, there would be an enormous outcry, and this company would be forced to stop. There was a Jack in the Box commercial about 2 years ago that was just as offensive. Many people, including myself, wrote to one of the stations here asking that they stop airing it. Almost immediately we never saw it again. Although that may be a coincidence considering that the companies pay for placing ads, I like to think it was the result of our work. :)

The new commercial is so appauling. It gives a sexual overtone and I find it disgusting. After speaking with friends I found everyone else was disgusted. What people in their right mind would allow such a commercial? We used to go to Burger King a few times a month. My children will never step foot in there again. How dare you try to sell food with sex. What kind of client tell do you want? You need to hire different people that are able to sell food in a clean way.
