Buyer beware! I made a reservation for a cleaning and was quoted $57. I told them wait a minute under my plan the cost is $29. I asked for the four digit code to verify with my Carrington 500 carrier. She read me two sets of four digit numbers. I asked how come you're giving me two procedure numbers? She mumbled it's cleaning and mumble mumble. I asked...

Aspen Dental Dentures

I needed new dentures so I found aspen dental in yellow pages. I met with them after making an apointment. The lady in the office showed several prices each with different features and warranties. I paid cash for a full set of dentures. They ask for my old teeth to make new inpressions. I don't no why. Iwent back two weeks later yo pick up my new teeth. The teeth didn't fit. The so called dentist tried to make them fiti was ask to wear them for two or three weeks. I've been done this way several times. I paid 1600 hundred dollars for these teeth with a 3 year warranty. I'm not happy at all. This last visit iarrived 15 minutes early. I signed the regestewr anded waited well over an hour and then a girl came to the desk and ask me what I was there for (I became very angry) but went back any way. Waited for a very long time. Agirl finally came in took my bottom teeth back some where. Came back a little while. Tried to make them fit to no avail. She angry like the teeth did fit and left. Latter a so called dintist from another country looked in my mouth. What I think he said was for now theath looked good for now but if I wasn't happy to come back again. After 2 sets of teeth my gums are still soreand i'm still eating with no bottom teeth. I'm ashamed to eat in public. Pissed off! Jeff lewis, chattanooga tn

I was seen by Aspen because I have 2 teeth on the bottom and a bar that goes from the 2 teeth. One of the teeth is broken off completely. When I was seen at Aspen they did exrays and told me that both of the teeth needed to be pulled. I would need a plate on the bottom and a new plate on the top. Because I did not have dental insurance they said they would try and get financing and it would cost over $4500 with interest. I am low income and $73.00 a month is more than I can afford. I applied for low income discounts thew a place and am waiting to hear from them if I am accepted. I know someone who got top and bottom teeth from Aspen for $700. What is with these charges.

I have had 13 teeth pulled between top and bottoms. They have yet to get my temporary to the point I can actually eat with them in. I am only a month into this so far, and decided to look up lawsuits and complaints for the simple fact they left 3 teeth in my bottom mouth. I asked them after the deep cleaning which is going to cost me 1647.00 on top of the 4000.00 if the two front bottom teeth were going to survive. If they do not I will need full dentures and not a partial. Well the two front bottom teeth are extremely loose, so I am hoping to not have to take them to court, because after paying all this money for a temporary partial, I cannot afford to pay for the full dentures

Had my teeth pulled on top. Aspen dental made me a temporary denture and it didn't fit right put a soft liner 3 times to build the one side up. I was told I would have to wait 6 months for my permanent dentures and I did . Went back every other day for a week. They were sent out to be made they came back worst then the first set. they offered to made them again, but the experience with the two sets had me so worked up I didn't want to go through that again. I asked for my money back the price was $1599 I was told the temporary in my mouth would have to come back too. I told them deduct for them. There telling me that the temporaries are $460 and the permanent ones are only $280, I was to get the top of the line dentures as my permanent ones. How can the temporary ones be more than the permanent ones. There not giving my insurance company all there money there deducting for the temporaries. There giving me a refund of only $280 and that will be sent to the dental loan company which I have paid off in full .The loan was for $744.65, and then the loan company will pay me. I fill that that there Ripping me off. It just doesn't make sense.

You didn't help me find my smile! In fact, I avoid smiling because of the teeth and the way they fit. Unless I really coat them with adhesive they don't stay in. I went back numerous times with the same complaint and was told they were fine. WELL, THEY AREN'T FINE! I spent a lot of money there and feel it was totally wasted and if it wouldn't cost me so much I'd go to another dentist and have them redone. A friend had a similar situation, went to a real dentist, and his teeth look marvelous.

Your facility never felt clean to me - labs coats on employees for the most part were stained and unclean.

I would not recommend your facility to anyone - in fact, I tell people about the terrible experience I had with Aspen Dental.

I went to Aspen Dental in April 2009. They take you in an office and show you all the dentures they have and prices.
I got the best they make, costing me 2027.00.
They would not stay in my lower gums so they tried to talk me into implants. They drill holes in the bone and put post in to snap into the dentures Costing (approximately) 2500.00.
I have heart disease and cannot take a chance on getting an infection, which if you look this up you will see this can happen.
The tops were such small teeth that my upper lip went in.
I was not able to eat, my pressure flew up due to the abuse I was subjected to.
I called corporate and they told me I had to return the dentures before I received a refund and I had to wait 2 to 3 weeks for my money.
I am still waiting.
This company is nothing but scam. Look up all the complaints before you make an appointment.

Well I really don't know where to begin. I went into Aspen about 2yrs ago for a quote on getting dentures. Yes I am young but I h ave bad teeth and wanted to be able to smile. Because money was so tight they told me they can do the teeth that needed to come out. 3200.oo later and I don't even wear the perminment one I am wearing the ones that they give you the day they pull your teeth. They are to small for my mouth and and everytime i went in before they sent out my dentures I had a different dentist and mond after mond after mond and they now say it's to late there isn't anything they can do to fix the flexable denture so now I have a partial top and bottom sitting in a container and I am wearing only the orginal top ones in and now the teeth that are holding these in are roiting away and I am in a lot of pain. I would like someone to contact me and let me know what I can do. Because i am not goiong to pay for something I don't or I should I can't wear. Thank you

I purchased dentures from these people and got a giant rip-off. I requested they pull all my teeth they left 5 lower ones. I knew they were bad and I wanted them out. They convinced me that leaving them in would help secure the bottom plate. I cannot wear the bottom plate at all. They then told me that the teeth they had left in needed work. over I paid them over $8000.00 for 2 sets of dentures, they sent me a bill for $800.00 to fix those stupid teeth. I never received the 2nd pair ofdentures I want some of my money back. I'm afraid to go back there, they will probably charge me $1, 000.00 for sitting in the lobby.

dentures were too big-so they suctioned them to stay up-- but are now slanted and off centered -so the front teeth are over to the left instead of being centered in the middle-- and the teeth are not straight but slanted - they refuse to do anything about it

The Aspen Dental in Vancouver, was very horrible. Here I came there in good faith, to have new denture's made, and they were very bad and I had a seriously alarming experience. They almost choked me to death with the impression mixture from the upper impressions and the 2 young females, attitude, body language, and tone of voice's were very nasty mean, a...

Aspen Dental aspen dental and the botched tooth extraction

I needed a tooth extraction– went to Aspen dental and got an appointment for the following week after X-rays showed that a molar needed to be pulled. On the day of the extraction, which should have been my first clue, she asked which tooth needed pulling— then after a ‘cold’ test she concurred it was the one I was pointing towards. As she began her work, jacking my jaw all over the place, it was evident through her conversation with the first-time assistant that she was having aa great deal of difficulty.

She then stopped, told me we were going to ‘take a little break’ and said she needed to get a more experienced assistant. I remember hearing her tell the girl that this was a 3 root molar. When she continued, there was considerable discomfort with her movement within my mouth. But finally she was done, gave me script for Tylenol with codeine and sent me on my way. She did call me twice and I told her how much pain I was still in.

Finally, on Friday, I went back and she put something with cloves in my mouth, wouldn’t tell exactly what it was. It lasted maybe an hour. Long story short, the following week I went to an oral surgeon who then extracted, without pain, the remaining 2 roots she left in my mouth. Yes, we have called Aspen Dental, but at this point are only getting defensive remarks, with no consulation.

Aspen Dental screwed over by aspen dental scam visit

We told aspen dental that we were on a time constraint because we were going out of the country in 2 months. They said no problem. However, after 2 visits to do a ‘workup’. After a very long conference to set up ‘credit’, He (the expediter) freely told us that most people don’t pay on time so they basically get a kickback on the interest charge. Husband was scheduled for impressions but when he got there they told him they didn’t have time to finish the work: that he should contact a dentist in NY before we left the USA! They said he should still use the ‘credit card’ they had set up, for the dental work where he had the work done.

Seems like a ‘credit card’ scam to me. We wasted all that time that should have been used to do the dental work. I can’t believe I got screwed over by Aspen dental, even after reading all the bad reviews about them online!

I had similar experiences like the others, I went in because they advertised free exams and xrays, I needed a bridge and gum treatment and a extraction, they then told me after the exam that I need a scaling&root planning, vizilite which they said was a antibiotic to put under my gums for infection in the pockets, removal of post to a crown that aspen had done 2 years prior that unattached and could not be put back on, a flipper to place while waiting for my permanent bridge can be placed, another extraction with a possible implant, 1 core build p 2 fillings and a 4 unit bridge, I had no problem with this diagnosis since i knew i needed a scaling and root planning and bridge, but the cost was crazy! 13, 859.00 with my discount plan, im confused i had filling done at another dentist for less than 300.00. Im going to try to find another quality dentist with more reasonable prices.

Aspen Dental failure to send out medical records

I used Aspen Dental in 2008 and have since found a new dentist in my local area. When I called them to get my x rays and records sent to my new dentist, I was told that I couldn't send a letter requesting the records, it had to come from the new dentist. So I drove to the office and filled out the form and wrote that I would drive down and pick them up because of the short time before my appointment. I drove and hour one way to pick up my x rays. I went to my appointment the next day, only to be told that the x rays were not mine. My dentist called and they promised they would send the x rays right out. Since all of this has happened I can't have the work done on my teeth because the x rays have not been sent and my insurance company will not authorize the treatment. I've since found another new dentist and I called Aspen Dental again to see if my records had been sent. They haven't sent them because there is no release from the dentist. Now in order to get my x rays for my new dentist I have to drive another hour to pick up my records. I feel that they give horrible service, they treat their customers unfaily and charge outrageous amounts for the work, or lack there of, that they do.

Aspen Dental poor business practices

I went to the Topsham, Maine office for service. We agreed on and started a program. The plan was to pull all of my teeth except for five on the bottom and make a full upper and partial lower. When we started the program, the dentist told me how happy I was going to be and that these teeth were going to fit so well that I wouldn't even need to think about using adhesives. After the initial temporary dentures, I wasn't going to need adhesive at all. Shortly after I got the permanent ones I was told that I might have to use "a little bit of adhesive" occasionally. I was told shortly after that that "well, sometimes some people have to use a bit of adhesive on a daily basis. What I finally ended up with was a set of dentures that fit so badly that they are uncomfortable to wear even for a short time. If I don't use a full dose of adhesive, they tend to fall out (usually when I'm talking to someone so that the embarrassment is complete). I got tired of going back to try to get them fixed and as soon as I can afford it, I'm going to have to go to a real dentist. Oh Yeah! Besides all this, they handled the insurance so badly that I wound up paying $2000 more out of pocket than they told me I was Going to. I doubt that this will make it anywhere where the public can read it but if it does, please beware! I'll probably find some other review sites to post to also.

I went into Aspen dental mistake number 1. I got or was supposed to get my wisdom teeth removed . I find out today from another dentist that the Aspen idiot left half my wisdom teeth in on both sides on top. After paying over 6, 000.00 they want more money to fix the problem . Are they stupid or what? I had an emergency dental issue after hours I was not called back. These people are crooks stay away from them .

Now after all the worthless crap I have to pay another surgeon to finish my teeth and do it the correct way.Dr Carle is a joke rude making smart ### comments all the time . His dental assistant is a joke who knows maybe they need to get a room . Very unprofessional stay away .

My complaint is with the Bristol Tn Aspen Dental Office. I went to them with a broken tooth (which I still have) but instead was told I needed gum work done. This cost $2205 for two visits. I returned yesterday (May18, 2016) for what I thought was just a follow-up visit but I was told I needed to pay $232.00 for this visit. I walked out of this office. I did call back and asked them to remove my name from any list they might have.
This place is a rip off and I would suggest that you stay away from them. Please, just read all the complaints against them in all the cities and towns that they are located in. I sure wish I had read them before I went.

I went to ASPEN dental in Macon Ga. They were offering free cleanings to all Veterans that day. I was about last of 14 Veterans. They only cleaned one Veteran a White woman and took her picture for photo oops. The other 12 including myself were to they needed an expensive periodontal treatment before they could do a basic cleaning. I had my teeth cleaned last year and wasn't told this crap. They're worst than used car salesman using the bait and switch routine. Stay away from these crooks.

Aspen Dental in Bristol, TN is a crock! I'm not even gonna get into the long drawn out horrible things I had done, because it would frighten the hell out of people. Long story short what kind of dentist pulls wisdom teeth, and when the patient calls back 4days later to say they think they have dry socket, the dentist says "Oh we can see you tomorrow." I have freaking DRY SOCKET I wanted seen now, and I already paid for services that INCLUDE after care. Since I work in Kingsport I went over to that office and they fixed me up, but from now on I will find a local dentist. I will never go back there! Good thing I just had the teeth pulled because I do need other work done, and DEFINITLY don't want these [censored]es working on my teeth!

My experience was in Framingham, MA office but I'm sure most of their centers are like this! This place is a rip-off ! If you ask for a regular cleaning they would suggest everything from deep cleaning to what not. They have the tendency of making you come again and again. For last year I've been working with dentists (because of my company) and now know so many terms "Aspen" was using. So if you are a patient with no idea about dental terms they are going to things which you wouldn't even need. In fact, places like Aspen or chain dental places are just factories, I know someone who works there has openly admitted that they are made to recommend treatment to a patient even though he or she might not need it. So, please find a dentist who has own clinic set up that way they pay attention to the patient treatment and proper customer needs. Good luck !

I went to Aspen dental because i had a cracked tooth... after they did the x-rays and I waited for quiet some time, I finally saw the dentist... after he told me how lucky i was to have my teeth, he said that he could fix my tooth (at another appointment), but first i needed to talk with the office manager to make arrangements for the portion that my insurance company would not pay. So i went into her office, and she gave me this long list of dental work that i was told needed done... and that they would bill my insurance around 7000 and i would need to pay around 5000 out of pocket... i quickly found that they were trying to "get one over on me" and asked for my x-rays and I left... the next day I saw a local dentist in my town (although not on my insurance plan) and he fixed my cracked tooth, and found nothing else wrong and i paid $126. ASPEN DENTAL IS A BIG RIP OFF ... BEWARE!

This company will make promises to make you smile, But they will do nothing but overcharge you and do shabby work by unprofessionals, under qualified people. Good luck trying to get your money back for work not completed. They finance you thru GE money bank and never offer refunds. This company ripped me off for over $5, 000 and has ruined my credit because I refuse to pay the balance. They never did the work and what they tried to do was so sudstandard and poor quality I Did not accept it. Talking to the Home office also gets you now were. I went to a real dental office and when they saw the fit and poor qualiy they were in dis belief a professional could have messed up as bad as ASPEN DENTAL did. I have pictures if anyone want to see shabby work. Not even good enough for a dog. RIP OFFs is all I can say.

I went to Aspen Dental for an emergency treatment (bridge reattachment)and the dental tech immediately dragged me into the x-ray room even though I kept insisting I did not want x-rays taken. She kept saying - "go ahead, they're free". After the procedure I was was told by the sleazy Office Manager that my insurance would not pay for the service, so I had to pay up front. I agreed, because I really had no choice. Then they tried to bill me for the x-rays as well.

Imagine my surprise when I got my insurance benefits statement and found they had submitted the claim, and been paid by my insurance company, but were still billing me at the higher non-provider rate. Called to complain, was told they'd call me right back, still waiting.

I am in the process of having Aspen Dental investigated in RI and attempting to have the entire franchise investigated based on the complaints here. My complaint is they mislead patients and misdiagnos them for the benefit of monetary gratification and are in violation of the ADA Code of Ethic, more specifically Code 5.A and 5.B.6. I will repost the results when more progress is reached. I went to my prior dentist and they did the same testing and report I do not have to have a scaling done and my gums are in healthy condition. They even refused to clean my teeth unless I have this procedure done which is not needed. I'm not letting this go. People are having it hard enough surviving without be ripped off by their dentist.

I woke up with excruciating tooth pain in the middle of the night. I made an emergency appointment with Aspen Dental and was told I would need a root canal with crown; also was told that all of my old fillings needed to be replaced. Sat me down with the 'Finance Manager' .. btw .. i've never seen a finance department at any other health care organization ... anyway, she told me that with my dental insurance, it would cost me about $1600 out of pocket. Chump change i suppose. So I went home and did some internet research on Aspen Dental and found many complaints, so I got a second opinion. Turns out, I did need root canal, no crown, and needed no fillings replaced. I had one cavity, which was filled, and needed new x-rays done because the ones I retrieved from Aspen were so faint that the new dentist couldn't even read them. He was kind enough to do them for free since Insurance only pays for one set a year and Aspen messed them up. BTW, it was almost impossible to get the x-rays from Aspen after they found out that I was going somewhere else for dental work. Long story short .. it cost me $5 copay with new dentist ... I saved $1595 by not going to Aspen. They really should be shut down ... preying on innocent people ... ###!

Aspen Dental worst experience of my life

I went to Aspen for a chipped tooth. They were first on the list of providers in the area, so I figured “Why not?” Little did I know that I was about to have the worst dental experience of my life. Everything started out o.k. I was scheduled for a free exam being a first time customer. I went in and got my x rays done. Next step was to see the dentist for a treatment plan. I went in for a chipped tooth mind you. The doctor recommends that because my tooth has chipped multiple times that I would need a crown put on my very front tooth(a $1000 procedure as opposed to $200 for filling a chip). I figured the doctor was just doing what was in my best interest, so I naturally agreed. I went back to the office manager who immediately went into payment and scheduling.

So I am here thinking, “great, this is going to get taken care of quickly”. Miraculously, an appointment opened up IMMEDIATELY so that this dentist could get the process started. The doctor ground my entire tooth down to a nub so that I now no longer have a front tooth; only a replacement. I am a fighter and take shots to the mouth from fists for a living. So now every time this crown gets chipped I will be $600 in the hole to replace it. Little did I know that I would be outfitted with a horrendous looking temporary crown for nearly a month. The temporary crown was just a mold of my old chipped tooth. This is part 1.

Part 2. I was scheduled for a cleaning a few days later. I was 10 minutes late due to an accident detour. I showed up and apologized. The receptionist told me that there is no way that they could take be because the employees were going to lunch. In what world can an employee not push lunch back 10 minutes? Lunch was at 12. I was there at 11:40. The receptionist told me that they need half an hour to do the cleaning. Now I am wondering what kind of teeth cleaning only takes 30 minutes.

Part 3. The temporary crown-chipped tooth crown (which looks awful to begin with because it is a totally different color from my teeth) revealing the metal inside the tooth. Mildly painful and looks even worse than before. I should have just stayed with the chipped tooth at this point. I called to attempt to get it fixed asap being around the holidays. They tell me it will be at least a week. I JUST SAID I WAS IN PAIN! A FREAKIN WEEK!?

Part 4. Rescheduled cleaning- 2 hours out of work. Chipped temporary tooth fix- 2 more hours off work. Permanent crown installation- 3 more hours off work.

Thanks for all the favors, Aspen, but you can keep it next time.

Being late is not ok, because then they have to push back the other patients who are scheduled after lunch, I don't think that's fair!
Oh and temporary crowns never look as good as the permanent ones, that's why they are temporary and the fact that it's a different color than your other teeth is quite normal-again it's a temporary so it's not the final product. I work at another dental office and people like you annoy me! Get your facts straight and learn to be responsible and leave to your appointments earlier and if you end up having to be rescheduled due to an accident detour, suck it up and be a grown. Nobody is going to give up their lunch break because of you, I never would.

You have to have a crown on a root canaled tooth and any dentist that tells you otherwise should have their license taken.

I went through hell with the Fort Myers Aspen Dental Office. I was charged over 4500 out of pocket. I was sent out for my teeth extractions because I am a heart patient and they wanted to pull one at a time, WTH were they thinking and the Dentist told me herself that she was uncomfortable with my heart Hx and I needed to go have them all done at once which cost me another $490 out of pocket and then due to Aspen using up right away my $1500 insurance allowance I am now paying a almost $800 balance the SWF facial Surgery. OK, I had 4 front vineers put on, wasn't told they would widdle my teeth down to sticks (horrified) and they keep failing off and not even a year old. I only did the vineer because they said it would close the space inbetween my front two teeth. Now I have the upside down black triangle. I am so unhappy. My partials look fairly good but you can see all the metal clasp and another (second opinion) dentist said "no, you should not see these" and that they are wrong. My partials are not sharp at all and I have trouble chewing and alos I have to use alot of fixadent to hold the uppers in.

When you try to get in for adustment, you will set for 2-3 hours freaking hours (I have a life). I am trying get anyone that wants to, to join me in sueing their ### for the bad service, Hippa violations (I hear other ppls business in their office all the time), long waiting times, ripped off by them etc. You name it I have experienced it with these ppl. I cry alot because when my vineers fall off in public for no reason (I am and have never been a front biter) I look like a crack hoe. Please contact me at wingsinflight2000@yahoo.com. I want to file a class action suite against Aspen Dental and I want all the ppl hurt by them in anyway to join me.

Aspen Dental wrong denture

To start off with, I didnt have the money for 'wax' fitting. I ended up getting 2 wax fittings because they gave me the wrong denture, so happened to be a co-worker of my husband...a man! After 3 weeks of fittings, the denture is WRONG still and peeling apart & doesnt match to my existing bottom teeth. They blamed my teeth as the problem. BAD PEOPLE/COMPANY

The same thing happened to me. Several wax fittings and dentures that did not match the wax. The dentures must have belonged to someone else because they did not fit. I still have my lower teeth which are twice the size of the teeth in the denture. I cannot chew and have lost 25lbs that I did not need to lose.

Aspen Dental unsatisfactory crowns

I recieved four crowns on my four front teeth only one out of four are satisfactory they are all different sizes the dentist told me no teeth are the same one of my crowns have some kind of metal filling on the back of it, one is very thick and grinds against my bottom teeth, one you can literally see right through it and can see the post, all this for four thousand dollars and these are my front teeth i'm talking about, my job requires one on one conversations with customers every day, so now what, can they actually get away with this? Where do I go from here? Ive been told by co workers to contact an attorney, I'm looking into it.

Aspen Dental bad service, crroks & shysters

What a bunch of crooks! After paying an $1100 copay for 3 cleaning sessions (1 cleaning) and pre-paying for 3 fillings, a tooth broke. When I went for my first filling, I asked if they could work on the broken tooth instead of the filling, but not only did they numb the whole side of face first then refurse to work on the borken tooth, by the time they got done arguing with me about how much I have prepaid, they said it was too late to do even the filling that I went there first, and sent me away with a numb face and NO DENTAL WORK! I'm furious. I've asked for my x-rays (a LOT of x-rays) and a refund for my pre-paid fillings. I'm never going back there again. They were rude and really took me for a ride!

Aspen Dental all they care about is money

I will never return to Aspen Dental again. The staff (receptionist, dental assistants, etc) were very nice. The Dentist came in. Did not even say Hi. I did not even know who he was until I got my prescription. He was telling me I need this and that. And that was about to fall off need to get that replaced. With out even touching my mouth at all. Yeah if I need a filling you can tell by the x ray, but you cannot tell me my cap to my tooth is about to fall off without even actually looking/touching it. I went there because I figured that I needed a root canal on my one tooth. Which I do, but that was not even their priority. Did not even check that tooth out. He tapped on my teeth with his tool. No tugging, no jabbing. Just more like counting if anything. Yeah I understand I need a visit to get everything checked out, but if I have been in pain and having problems they should have been a lot more concerned with my discomfort than anything. And help me out. Then when I went in with the lady about costs and everything. She swiped my credit card without letting me know. I had to ask her if she was charging me. And she was charging me for my root canal and crown before I even made an appointment for it. I am sorry, but I will not pay 900 bucks up front without any work being done. Especially since they hardly did anything while I was there. They are money hungry. They do not care.

Aspen Dental x-raying pregnant patients

Aspen Dental insisted that I be x-rayed at six months pregnant. They said without an x-ray they could not even clean my teeth. They said without the x-ray it was tough for them to determine the level of cleaning I would need. I said I was not comfortable with being x-rayed and that I just wanted a basic cleaning and I would return after my pregnancy for an more intensive visit. They said no x-ray, no cleaning. I cannot believe the incompetency and the ignorance of such a practice and I would run like hell or pull out my own teeth before I would ever return or refer anyone to them. What a joke of an establishment...

No dental x-rays reach the fetus. Even the College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists agree on this. X-rays to the mouth just cannot make right angle turns and hit a fetus. Jet flights dose the fetus with radiation, dental x-rays do not.

That being said, I often bend the rules and do a complete exam without x-rays before the cleaning for a pregnant patient, but refuse to see them again after their pregnancy unless I can have current x-rays.

Have your teeth cleaned is NOT like having your car washed.

Aspen Dental dental

I recently had to take myself and my children to Aspen dental as my insurance changed at work. I took my youngest son in on 02/01/12 to which they told me he had NO cavities however I am quite aware that he does in fact have 2. I'm sure they said that due to his age and not wanting to work on a child that young. Then on 02/21/12 my oldest son and myself went in for cleanings. 1st off I never had a cleaning done. 2ndly the dentist and hygienist both told me that my oldest son had 10 cavities that needed to be filled. When I asked if it was normal for 10 cavities to develop in less than 6 months she was speechless. Then I asked her to show me the cavities on the xrays that she had just taken and discovered these 10 cavities. She showed me one as if that was going to quiet me down. When I asked her about the other 9 she could not show me. SCAM they were just wanting more money. All she wanted to talk to me about was how I needed a new denture plate as mine does not fit properly in my mouth. I have had NO problems with my plate and its not in her mouth to know if it doesn't fit properly. Plus I was only there for a cleaning. I will NEVER subject myself or my children to that place.

I went to Aspen dental six months ago for a cleaning, and it was the worst experience of my life. I just went to a different dentist recently and it was such a difference that I have to complain because I am so unhappy of what happened to me. On top of it when I got on here I read one person's comment that is identical to what happened to me. I went to there and saw the same hygenist Wendy, and she scraped my teeth so hard during the cleaning that I was bleeding like crazy and she laughed also. I was crying because I was so scared, she told me it was to much plaque. The other dentist came in to check on it, and said that I may have gingivitis, and I needed to buy this rinse because it will prevent it. I was so scared of having gingivitis, and believed that what she did was to the best interest of me. I then realized from the next dentist that what she did was completely wrong, and that's not how you clean teeth. I am so upset and will never go back there, be aware that place is out for money only they have no interest in clients health.

I made an appointment with this same Aspen Dental in Bourbonnais, Illinois on 2/15/12 for an just an exam, mainly to check them out. I have a regular dentist. Upon arrival, I filled out a number of papers. Everyone seemed very pleasant and friendly. I was put through an xray that circled my head and then to another room where they did an oral exam of my teeth and gums. Next came the expert dentist. The conclusion was I needed all the fillings in my teeth, as I have many, to be removed and replaced as they were inferior. Then I needed 2 back teeth pulled as they were okay but useless to me. Also I needed four of my bottom teeth removed because they are loose and as they needed to scale under my gums for plaque, they would fall out. Then all the teeth left to be scaled for one side and the other. Next I needed a bridge built for those four teeth that had been removed. Next was the stop to the Finance Manager and their results. This would take about 3 months and $5, 000 which I could pay through Chase credit at 14.9% interest for 5 years. By the way, I am 71 years old and live on social security and work part time. I had to give them my social security number in the papers I filled out which would have given them my high credit score, this wouldn't have anything to do with this deal, "Would it?"

Aspen Dental services

Went to aspen dental because of bottom teeth problems and appt set up for nov 2011. After I signed in and told them I was there it took them 2 hours before I finally asked why I havent been called. The secretary or what ever she was turned red and went in the back. That was the first problem! They were told I wasnt there. Hmm secretary for what if she dont look at sign in sheet or get your chart out. Well then they rushed and got me in and two and a half hours later dental work supposedly done. Good Right? NO I forget to mention for my time they gave me a 50.00 rebate and appology for forgetting I was there. So onward we go a month later my teeth start hurting again and all the way thru chrismas and new year while I was out of town I dealt with Tooth ache. I believe they never fixed the problem in the first place just done some caping which has me worried now I have to find another dentist to find out whats goin on because I dont trust them. Now the next thing is my bill is messed up and have called and they said the person for billing is busy and will call me back. Weeks later still havent heard from them and I still havent paid my bill. What you think is gonna happen they send me to collection or do you think they will get there head outta butt and call me. I doubt it so here we go Aspen try it!c

I had a dental emergency (pain & apparent infection) for which I needed immediate attention. I called Aspen Dental and they said, "YES", they could see me "today, " THAT AFTERNOON. I drove several miles to the Aspen office, expecting relief from my pain; but when I arrived at the appointed time, I was told "NO", they couldn't see for another week. I asked why they agreed to schedule me today if they, in fact, had no openings, they blamed it on their "call center" - no apology - the receptionist simply shrugged her shoulders. Ludicrous! What a ridiculous way to run a business. These knuckleheads lost a potential customer for life.

I went to Aspen Dental 4 1/2 years ago to have my teeth looked at because I needed dentures, my bottom front teeth were very loose and moved if they were in contact with my tongue. When I went in they took full xrays and the dentists looked at my mouth. I was told that I had severe gum atdiesease and they would have to take all my teeth out and have dentures. My dental insurance had to be notified and approved first before anything was done, which it was. The problem I have is that they took the mold of my mouth that day, when it was swollen from infection, so the fit is not correct. I paid for 6 soft linings and for a hard lining. I received 2 soft linings only. When I went in for my third soft lining, I was the second person to have been seen, I had asked at the desk numerous times when I was going to be seen, and all they would say was they would get to me as soon as possible, so 3 hours later I had enough so I told them at the front desk to find out what was going on, and I happen to notice the sign in sheet and my name had been highlighted off, when I asked why they said because that person was already seen and I told them IMPOSSIBLE SINCE I WAS THAT PERSON. I could not wait any longer since I was already late for work. I told them that they needed to contact me to solve this problem, which they never did. I still had to pay for all of the services even though I had not received them, my dentures do not fit at all and they are not lined as they should be. Also the only time I saw the dentist was on the day I had the surgery.

My husband and I went in for an initial appointment at Aspen Dental, expecting a routine cleaning (that our insurance would cover). After sitting in the office for over an hour and having three different people look in our mouths, and NO cleaning we were pretty perturbed, but what came next made us absolutely ENRAGED! A fourth employee pulled us into a private office to discuss "a treatment plan". She gave us each a printout with a quote on what our treatment plans would cost. Then asked if we had any questions. At $4000 quote for my husband, and $1000 quote for myself - of course we are going to have questions! If you don't ask questions, they add anything and everything into your bill that they possible can and if we had not asked we would not have known that they add a tube of toothpaste onto your bill for $26, an expensive fluoride rinse that they claim "is absolutely necessary" after certain treatments (oh and if you don't agree to buy it, then the dentist can refuse to treat you), and an electronic toothbrush for almost $200 (which we told them to take off the bill because we already had one at home). They told my husband that his condition was VERY SERIOUS and that the procedure needed to be done ASAP! They really pressured us into making a decision right then and there and were constantly trying to get us to agree to the treatment plan. While they say that they can work with you on a payment plan, it's just another credit card payment that you don't need! Now my husband and I don't make split decisions. We have made a rule in our family that we always discuss and sleep on any major decisions. SO WE WALKED...obviously! We chose not to accept the treatment plan as nice as we could, and we left!. When we got to the car, my husband asked me how I felt about the appointment. This was my reply: " I felt like I was being pressured into buying timeshare, ( having been in a similar position before on our honeymoon), only I didn't get anything for my time. I am sorry I wasted both of our time coming here!" My husband told me that he was just waiting for the lady to tell him to turn around, bend over and take it up the #**. They made my husband feel horrible about himself, they literally tried to scare him into doing a procedure that did not necessarily need to be done! HIGH-PRESSURE SALES PITCH ALERT! CON-ARTISTS! FRAUD! We made appointments to get a second opinion, and to our amazement NOTHING, I repeat NOTHING was wrong with our teeth or gums! We are very glad that we trusted out instincts, and got second opinions! The only thing I wish I could have done different is actually researched this company before wasting our time, and being degraded by horrible people who are only in this business to MAKE MONEY! I don't know how these people sleep at night. TO ANYONE THINKING ABOUT GOING TO ASPEN DENTAL: STOP! READ REVIEWS! Find a local, reputable dentist who has been in the file for awhile and knows what they are actually doing!

I purchased the top of the line dentures. They told me my insurance would pay for most of my bill. THEY LIED!BEWARE. It cost me nearly six thousand dollars. They billed insurance companies I didn't even have. They tell you in the begining that they talked to your insurance and your insurance will pay. My insurance company never spoke to them. I was getting rejection letters from insurance companies I didn't have. When you call, " The office manager is in a meeting, " The office manager is on lunch" The office manager has left for the day" . This went on for 3 days. Then I was told to call the main office of Aspen Dental.
Then the bills start coming, Why? this should be paid!. I called the main office, Told them they billled the wrong Insurance, I was told they rebilled the correct insurance, and not to pay the bill. They finally billed my correct insurance, my insurance paid less than a thousand. They quickly billed me the ballance, and the price was now higher than what they quoted.
But of course the quoted price was only an estimate. WARNING!:. STAY AWAY FROM ASPEN DENTAL . Oh by the way, this is a very compressed version, Over 200 phone calls, Countless hours, Sleepless nights, "LESSON LEARNED" " DO NOT TRUST!

I have taken my son for wisdom teeth extraction . We were advised that the price is around $1200 - my son also asked if sedation is included or separately billed, they said it was included, otherwise he was going to do it with local anesthetic - anyhow long story short, teeth were pulled out and they asked me to pull up behind to get my son as he got some " Michael Jackson juice in him" - I paid 614 dollars as asked to pay, got my son and went home. Yesterday, I received a bill in mail stating I owe them another 323 dollars - and the total has changed - on the bill all of the sudden it was $$2430, when itemized come to find out that sedation was not included - billed separately - contrary to what we were advised before the procedure, also there is a $65 charge for Professional consultation ( I never saw a dentist - just a nurse who told me about Michael Jackson's juice in my son's body . I went to talk to Aspen Dental in Webster, 975 Ridge Road 14580 and among 3 ladies I talked to, none knew what to say or how to remedy the issue. To make the matter worse they claimed that $ $2430 was the total from the get go - that is a lie as they asked me to pay $614 right after my son was done, so that $614 has to have had a base to be calculated from - exactly 50% of their $1200 quote - none of them had an answer, they were all looking the other way telling me that none of them handled this for me at the time - I will not let anybody take me for a fool and will contact their Corporate Office, Attorney general and BBB until I get to the consumer's justice. This company is a fraud and this has to stop - I hope somebody from Aspen Corporate reads this and responds to me ASAP - I want my money back - and I will get it . What was quoted at the time of visit - prior to the procedure must stay after the procedure. Needless to say I took offense for Aspen personnel referring to my son post surgery condition as " He has some Michael Jackson's juice in him now" after that same juice killed the famous singer. These people are unprofessional and fraudulent . Do not go there! My e mail is violeta_cro@yahoo.com in case Aspen Dental Corporate Office would like to contact me !

I am a manger of a business with 20 employees. I received a package from Aspen Dental which contained discount cards and coupons for one person to receive free services. These free service coupons were intended to allow one person to visit the office and receive free x-rays, exam, and cleaning.

When making the appointment over the phone, I stated that I had the coupons and that I wanted to evaluate the office through the free services.

When I arrived for the appointment, I stated that I was here for the free services and I presented the coupons. They punched holes in the coupons and added them to my patient folder. They also asked for insurance information, which I provided.

The vist went well and I was pleased with the service. A few days later, I received notice from my insurance company that they were presented with a bill for the services and that Aspen Dental was paid $117.00.

I call the dental office to inquire as to why I was billed for the "free" services and they said that it was their policy to not honor the coupons if the patient had insurance. There was no mention of this policy at all. I objected and asked that the insurance company be reimbursed. So far, no such reimbursement has taken place. I view this as a fraud.

I filed a complaint with the insurance company citing this fraud. I assume the insurance company will be investigating. I also requested copies of my records.

I emailed the Aspen Dental corporate office and have not received a response.

The Webster office indicated that they would pay the insurance company back but it has not yet happened. They did make a point of telling me that they would be making an exception by honoring the coupon!

To all Aspen Dental patients...I would like to apologize for my short stint as office manager. I quit after allowing my Regional Manager to bully me into falsifying treatment plans and overcharging customers and insurance companies. With the job market the way it is, I was afraid to lose my job. However, after many sleepless nights, I walked out. I totally admit that my office was involved in fraudulent treatment and falsifying health records. As for my part, I did the least fraudulent things I could and as a result was written up a few times because my manager wanted me out. My manager told me that I was too compassionate and too soft because I refused to ram treatment down patients throats. I now sleep well and have made my restitution with God.

Thanks MedicalProfessional, I have just recently went to a new Dentist and he is in the process of trying to figure out why my dentures are not working, he did say he would not have done them the way they are and there is something definitely wrong he also told me that if I put all the dentist's that work at Aspen together he has made more then 3 times the amount of dentures they have and he would have left in a couple of Eye teeth on the bottom for something to attach them to so might be looking at implants now, wish I would have known this before. I am going to have my records requested and am currently looking into an attorney that will take m case.

went to Aspen Dental in Lincoln Ne for an upper denture. All I can say everyone is take notes! I have been in the medical field for many years. This is what I can advise at this point due to my experience. I am unable to elaborate since my situation is currently getting reviewed. #1: If they have already numbed your gums and then: give you a consent to treat. DONT sign it. This is a form that states the adverse effects from the procedure and it states you understand the adverse effects. This has to be signed PRIOR to any extractions prior to dentures. #2 DO NOT sign the after care instruction sheet if you have already been numbed. The information on this sheet is highly important. In my case they numbed me and it was difficult for me to ask questions. Thank goodness I understood pain control and medications since I am in the medical field. There are many who do not. #3 If you begin to shiver and feel extremely cold after you have been numbed; have them retake your blood pressure! This could mean you b/p is at an all time low. This could turn into a major medical crisis. They need to have blankets to warm you and they need to know to put your feet up and your head down and to call 911 if b/p is at a critical low. #4 Take notes! DOCUMENT< DOCUMENT! Document who you talked to, when you talked to them, what the conversation was about, and what the resolution was to that conversation. BE SURE TO TAKE NAMES< TIMES

I have had the worst experience with Aspen Dental then I have ever had in my life, back in November 2010 I was told that i had to have all my teeth pulled and fitted for dentures and that I would feel so much better when done well here it is well over a year now and I still cannot wear my bottom ones at all and the top get very irritating by the end of the work day and I can't wait to get home to take them out, They also had to remake them because I have a very small mouth and they were way to big to begin with they also would not even let me put the final ones in until I signed a paper that stated I was satisfied with them? well I signed it because I needed teeth and I work close with the public and have to be able to have them understand me when I talk. I can not enjoy going out to eat because I do not feel comfortable eating without them in front of anyone so I eat at home alone. They have just kept telling me I need to keep coming back for adjustments? how many adjustment can they do before getting it right?
