Date 22/02/2020 Time 17.05 Receipt 8890 Served by Nardeep Register 3 —
I rushed into this store to purchase a few items. As I approached the check-outs, there were many shoppers with very full trolleys. Nardeep announced he would open Register 8. Obviously because I was only carrying three items I rushed to Counter 8. I awaited Nardeep's arrival for a few minutes but he never arrived! I looked around and to my horror, he was serving a lady at Counter 3. I picked up my items and went to this counter and waited whilst he served the customer. It was obvious to me that he talking about me to the customer; I presume very amused that I was left waiting at counter 8. When it was my turn, I asked him "didn't you announce you would open counter 8?" He said he did but decided to serve people from counter 3 and anyway the lady was here before you. I was very shocked at his rudeness. Firstly I did not push in before any customer; there were just many last minute shoppers with full trolleys preparing to join one queue or another. The offer of going to counter 8 was for anyone who wanted to move there. I have never been treated like that in Coles and informed him I would lodge a complaint. I usually shop in the Scarborough Coles and the staff are great there. I hope you can investigate and decide on a favourable outcome for me in this case.
