I pay my bill online so I never open up their mail. Not sure why they don't notify online accounts when they need to do any service services, but they don't. They just showed up yesterday unannounced while I was sleeping as I'm a third shift worker. Changed my meter and never knocked on my door once. I have a zero balance, but there is a lock on the meter. I was not prepared and living in a mobile home with a water heater buried in a compartment in my closet. They gave me a timeframe a technician would be out, but he showed up really rude. I understand it safety purposes that they need to look at the water heater, but if you open up the breaker box you'll notice there's a breaker for an electric water heater. No gas water heater has a breaker.! serious with this man trying to play smart guy. I eventually asked him to leave. I told them this was all unannounced and I'm trying to get out the door for Work. I didn't have time for this guy's games. This morning I called again and was given a window of now until noon. Roughly 7 AM to noon another technician would show up. Understand I have an 18-year-old who is in his room right next to the front door. He claims nobody has been knocking on my door. Today he's seen centerpoint energy a few houses down. He doesn't know utilities. He's only 18. They showed up at the wrong house pretty much so I still have the lock on my meter. I was asked this morning if I would like a phone call that the technician is on their way and I said no need because I have an 18-year-old here and I am home and they can wake me up. Like I said they went to the wrong house. This time I had my closet ready.. now my room is trashed and still no gas. By around 1 o'clock, I'm calling Centerpoint energy again for the Minneapolis area but this time I'm told they can't give me a window of time. That doesn't make sense because the last lady was able to do that so my guess is a subcontractor. It is now 7:08 PM and nobody has shown up. Over 24 hours with no gas and I owe them zero dollars.
Apparently, there's some massive communication issues with centerpoint, energy, and their employees. Their subcontractor show they don't care.
I didn't want no digital meter in the first place.
Desired outcome: Massive discount and a little bit of a priority here to get my gas on would be appreciated.
