I was very excited to find that Celebrity offers cruises that include Indonesia. I was interested in one with the travel dates of 12/22/2025-1/6/26. The cost for two people traveling (inside cabin) is $1674 each. I am traveling as a single, and with most cruise lines I pay a supplement-sometimes even 100%. For this trip it was worth it! A message came up that read "All inside cabins for my party size were booked"; the price that came up was $20213. I tried entering for two people. The total cost was $3348. I would gladly have paid that. Apparently there are inside cabins available but only for 2 people?! The "fine print" states that a single may only book an Eligibility Cabin at 200%. There is no definition of what that means; my assumption based on the exorbitant pricing I received is that it's the most expensive cabin available. I contacted a Celebrity Cruise representative who said I sounded upset (yes), gave no explanation for this policy, hoped I would travel at a future date. All cruise lines I have used have single pricing. Restricting this option is discriminatory and totally unacceptable.
Desired outcome: I would like to purchase a cruise of my choosing at no more than 100% of the cost for one person traveling with another.
