Paid for car as I have before from other company's but this time gold car refused to give me car under girlfriends debit card as again I have done before with other companys basically paid with my debit card but hers was going to be used for the car if accident etc so after a lot of shall I say pissing around she got it after paying another 167 on top what an absolute disgrace why was her card not accepted straight away anyway I'm not happy and want this looking into regards Chris orpin

    I saw an advert for a car hire for a week on CarTrawler, the ad stated that the price was all inclusive and there were no hidden charges. I paid the quoted price in full. At the Interrent Car Rental desk I was charged €270 more. I explained I had paid in full and bought my own excess insurance cover but the agent would not allow me to take the car without paying the charges . It was midnight in Malaga !
    I contacted CarTrawler and was advised it had nothing to do with them and directed to Interrent. I believe this is their responsibility

      CarTrawlerI have paid for insurance on a booking but no insurance documents have been received

      My booking number is GB577025470, booked on 30 April.

      I requested and paid for the additional insurance from your partner Allianz. However I have not received any insurance documents or confirmation from them.

      I have emailed them twice without reply. This is really disappointing; my journey starts tomorrow and I pick up the car from Hertz on Thursday this week.

      I'd be grateful if you can advise Allianz to provide the insurance documents, they are not listening to me.

        CarTrawlerrental car from cartrawler. theft from my bank account

        I have ordered a car for rent (car reservatuon no: DE535980710) via Ryanair (CarTrawler) company. I have read all rules, I also written flight no. in my order. I do not understand why your company stole 10€ from my bank account without any permission. Car has been delivered back after order on 26-03-2019 but money from my bank account have been taken on 28-03-2019. Because of this theft I will be forced to contact the police.

          Ik heb eventueel foto's ter beschikking om e.e.a. aan te tonen.

          Wat me ook erg gestoord heeft is de wijze waarop de verzekering opgedrongen werd.
          Ik had de keus om te kiezen tussen een aanbevolen verzekering ad € 120, - of een borg van € 1200, - indien ik niet
          akkoord was met deze € 120, -.
          Gezien de staat van de auto denk ik dat deze borg ongeveer gelijkwaardig was aan de waarde van de auto.
          Bij weigering van deze verzekering had er ook eerst een schaderapport opgemaakt moeten worden van de auto,
          iets wat gezien de staat een vrijwel onmogelijke opgave zou zijn geweest.

          Wat ook niet bijdroeg aan het vertrouwen in de verhuurder was de lokatie ergens in een tijdelijk braakliggend terrein
          in een buitenwijk van Boedapest met in container als kantoor en zonder balie op het vliegtuig. Op afroep komt een
          shuttle bus langsrijden om de huurder te vervoeren naar deze locatie.

          Al met al had het meer weg van de bekende "rent-a-wreck " dan van een reguliere verhuurmaatschappij.

          Ik ben zeer benieuwd naar de uiteindelijke afrekening en wil graag Uw reactie op deze mail.

            I am not writing my personal details here as it seems nobody takes care of complaints but I rented a car through you, the money was taken from my account, quite a sum may I add and I never received any proof of purchase. My flight was landing quite late so not knowing if the car would be there for me I booked from another car rental company which sent me confirmation straight away. I know full well that I will never see my 234 euros back but I want you to know that I will never book through you again and that I will make sure the people I speak to through my job ( international travel)
            do not put their business towards you either.

              CarTrawlerbooked a car with thrifty through cartrawler, but upon arrival at thrifty they refused to give me the car and neither will issue the refund.

              I booked a car online thru cartrwler.com for March 22-24th, 2019. Cartrawler reservation #US544598150, Thrifty was H9771014129. Upon arrival the lady took my capitol one CC and said it was not embossed, so I gave her my Fifth Third bank which was, then showed her my DL, Sams club card and concealed weapons permit. She then claimed they do not allow rentals with just a debit card if there was no flight from or to the airport, so I showed her my confirmation flight with Spirit that was leaving the day I was to return the car. She kept going back and forth, my CC was not correct, I did not show enough identification, I did not have a flight. I informed her again, and again, that I did have all that, it was in her hands. She REFUSED to rent me the car and said she would cancel it and I would get a refund. Guess what? No refund, so went thru cartrawler and tried there, they said I did not show proof (how do they know, they weren't there when I went to pick up the car!). I tried to fight it with my bank, but their hands are tied as cartrawler sent them information that I did not show valid proof, nor valid id, nor valid credit cards. No mention of them not allowing a rental without a flight leaving or arriving, which was part of my initial claim as to why the Thrifty lady would not take my money. I went two kiosks down in tears and had no problem getting a car from Alamo. I was refused service, perhaps the lady behind the counter was new, or just in a bad mood, but I was not given the car and was told she would cancel it and money would be refunded, but since I did not pay thru Thrifty site, they don't care and cartrawler just says I did not have valid form of credit, yet my payment was accepted online when I reserved this vehicle. They charged me $36.44 for services not rendered. I feel both Thrifty and CarTrawler are doing this for extra money in their pocket. I gave the lady everything she asked for, yet she is the one who refused me the car, leaving me without a refund and having to find another service who did not give me any trouble. I spent an hour trying to get this car from Thrifty.

                CarTrawlercar hire pick up

                I would like to raise a complaint over the way my recent car hire booking was handled.

                My flight was scheduled to arrive at 23:20 on Thu 2nd May, but due to a delayed departure at Gatwick my EasyJet flight arrived late and it was just after 00:00 until by the time I got to the car collection desk. When I presented my booking voucher to the desk, I was presented with the following charges which the agreement I have with you clearly states were already covered, namely;

                A 40.00 Euro fee for arriving past 00:00.
                I queried this with the agent as it states in the agreement that there would be some one to meet me, but no mention of any additional fee. The agent reviewed his agreement and could find no mention of a fee, but still insisted on charging it to me.
                A 40.20 Euro reservation fee for Fuel which would be returned if the same fuel level is present.
                This would be acceptable IF the hire car was full as stipulated on the contract. The fact that it is only 60% full makes it very difficult to ensure that the same fuel level is present on return - when adding fuel I would have no idea what the fuel indicator is showing.

                I would also like to complain very strongly about the attitude of the agent Ricardo Paez I was dealing with. A number of his comments were extremely sexist, for instance when offering the additional insurance premium he was implying that as I was a woman driver I was bound to have an accident. He was also very unfriendly in dealing with the questions I raised as outlined above, and in the end he told me that he was unwilling to answer any more of my questions and that I should take the car and go.

                I would like the original contractual agreement to be honoured, and to return the 80.20 Euro that I was surcharged when collecting the car. I would also like a full apology for the way I was handled by the car collection agent. I make many trips to Alicante each year and I do not wish to have to go through this same experience again.

                  My name is Filipe Goncalves and I had a reservation for 7am but My flight only arrived at midnight same day. When I went to pick up the car they told me I had no reservation because it was cancelled showing as "no show".

                  I would like to proceed to the refund of this transaction because I had to reserve a new car with a new agency.

                        Ik heb een soortgelijk probleem waarbij ik nu 2x betaald heb voor een auto (geboekt via Keddy) die ik niet heb gekregen omdat ik de spontaan hogere borg niet kon betalen. Heb je jouw probleem op kunnen lossen of heb je een mogelijkheid gevonden om contact met Keddy op te nemen?

                      Le 08 Avril je me suis présenté pour prendre un véhicule loué par le biais d'internet à votre agence Firefly de l'aéroport de Blagnac. (FR558801790 [protected])

                      Votre personnel m'a confié des clés et indiqué un emplacement.

                      J'ai fait le tour extérieur du véhicule, sans problème.

                      J'ai ouvert le véhicule pour en prendre possession et là, j'ai immédiatement été surpris par le degré de saleté.

                      Coulures sur les portes, idem sur les sièges, volant gras, morceaux sur le sol et dans les vides poches des portières...

                      je suis retourné à l'agence, j'ai dit que le véhicule était sale et non louable dans cet état.

                      Une personne est venue avec moi pour constater et m'a dit que pour lui c'était OK, le véhicule avait été nettoyé.

                      Je lui ait donc dit que cela devait être une farce car il ne pouvait pas me tenir ce type de propos face à ce niveau de saleté.

                      Il m'a indiqué avoir lui même nettoyé le véhicule et m'a alors déclaré : "vous croyez quoi ici c'est du low cost, si vous voulez je vous passe un aspirateur !"

                      Je pense que ce monsieur à passé les bornes, je lui ai indiqué que j'allais prendre contact avec sa hiérarchie car il faisait beaucoup de mal à la société FIREFLY.

                      Nous sommes retournés à l'agence, n'ayant pas d'autre véhicule de même catégorie, nous avons annulé la réservation.

                      J'ai donc été dans l'obligation d'aller voir un autre loueur ce qui m'a généré un surcoût. (Doc à suivre)

                      J'ai depuis constaté que j'ai été facturé et prélevé de 509 € 74 le 8 Avril.

                      Merci donc de procéder au remboursement de cette somme car l'annulation est totalement imputable à votre société.
                      Pour info, je loue des voitures 9 mois de l'année depuis 6 ans et c'est la première fois que l'on tente de me fournir un véhicule impropre à la location.

                        Bonjour,
                        J ai voulu louer une voiture pour mon séjour à Dubai. Je suis volontairement passé par le site d Emirates, gage pour moi de serieux.
                        Le moteur de recherche m envoie directement sur Avis( encore mieux, une enseigne connue et reconnue). Je peux effectuer la réservation avec ma carte qui est débitée de 433€. Or je n ai pas pu récupéré la voiture car on ne peut pas laisser la caution avec une carte de bleue VISA française, appelé communément carte de crédit partout en France.
                        Pour bloquer une caution, soit disant impossible.
                        Pour débuter 433€ sans fournir la prestation, aucun problème
                        On m a refusé la caution en liquide.
                        Aucun contact a l aéroport pour nous aider et trouver une solution . Seulement « sorry sir » mais ne vous inquiétez vous aller être débité (et dépité).
                        Comment peut on laisser réserver et payer avec une carte qui ne sera pas acceptée
                        Comment peut on ne pas mettre une alerte pop up quand vous savez la confusion évidente sur une carte de crédit dans la désignation française
                        Comment peut on en tant qu Emirates passer par un intermédiaire injoignable
                        Comment peut on ne pas répondre à un client et afficher un pop up ( tiens donc) de pb technique depuis 2 jours sur le formulaire client.

                        Je vous remercie par avance de procéder au remboursement de la location de voiture dont je n ai pas pu bénéficier, soit 433, 19€.

                            I made an online reservation on 28 March, 2019 to rent a car Reservation Number=
                            US550151550, my credit card was charged by an amount of USD 396.46 . it was mentioned that the amount Payable at counter = USD 211.63
                            this message appeared on my voucher "This charge was made by Etrawler Unlimited Company, registered in Dublin, Ireland and it will appear on your credit card statement as THRIFTY."

                            when I arrived at Salt Lake International Airport to receive my rented car, I was given Rental Agreement No: [protected], with a total amount of USD 743.45,

                            when I returned the car on the 13 April, 2019, my credit card was charged by the full amount of the USD 743.45.

                            so my card was charged for USD 396.46 + USD 743.45 = USD 1139.91

                            I need to refund the amount of USD 396.46 which hasn't been subtracted from my total amount.

                              My name si Mitica Guliu and I booked a car rental from your site under the reference GR501075. We were supposed to pick up the car on 4/17 from Yours car rental Chania airport. Your local partner showed as a Fiat Doublo (no luggage space, 5 regular seats+2 extra - smaller in the rear area).

                              The greek clerk appoligized for the inconvienence and offered us the solution to calcel the reservation, since they din not have available a proper car.

                              They said they received no money and the refund of funds must be directed to you.

                              We wrote an email to you on the same day([protected]@cartrawler.com, 4/17), yet no response was received.

                                I rented a car for 12 days via Car Trawler (IE517324110). The rental company was Dollar who is owned by Hertz. Car Trawler charged me $225 for the rental. When I got to Dublin Airport The car was upgraded and I agreed to pay for the upgrade. When I got the bill the $225 I paid Car Trawler was not applied. Hertz says will not refund me and Car Trawler has not responded to my request for a refund. This is outright fraud and thievery.

                                  On sunday 14 april, I tried to make a car rental booking via the ryanair car hire link and selected a car for pick-up at alicante airport with the hire firm centauro. at the moment of payment I was informed by a message on the screen that there was a technical problem and that the payment was not processed. after several attempts, I gave up and made a different booking (ref. es563639070) on the same site with inter rent, for which payment was confirmed without problem. however, having now checked my emails I see that both reservations were in fact successful. I therefore wish to cancel es563639070 with inter rent - but I do not agree to pay the cancellation fee since this error was not due to any fault on my part. I was informed that the first reservation (es563623190) was unsuccessful due to a technical error.

                                  I have contacted ryanair but have not received any reply other than an automatic message warning me that I have two bookings on the same day. if I try to cancel one, however, I will be charged the cancellation fee of +/- 25 euro, which is not justified given the circumstances.

                                  Could you please therefore cancel the booking made with inter rent ref. es563639070 and refund me the amount paid - eur 59.69

                                  I confirm that I intend to keep the first reservation I made with centauro (ref. es563623190)

                                    Ik heb mij met mijn voucher van ref. PT434699630 gisteren bij de balie van Budget gemeld.

                                    De dame achter de balie heeft de voucher aangenomen en ik heb mijn paspoort, rijbewijs en creditcard overlegd.

                                    De dame heeft de gegevens opgenomen en als laatste moest ik de pincode van mijn creditcard ingeven.

                                    Helaas had ik deze niet binnen handbereik. Dat is normaal geen probleem. Ik huur geregeld auto's en heb nog NOOIT de pincode van mijn creditcard nodig gehad.
                                    Er is altijd een handmatige manier om mijn creditcard voor de borg te gebruiken, behalve bij deze dame van Budget.

                                    Hier ben ik echter niet van gediend. Dit mag en kan nooit de reden zijn om de huurovereenkomst te annuleren!!!

                                    Ik heb mij vervolgens bij Europcar gemeld en kon daar zonder enig probleem een auto huren met mijn creditcard ZONDER pincode!!

                                    Probleem : bij Budget betaalde ik € 79, 71 voor een Opel Corsa of soortgelijk, bij Europcar € 293, 70

                                    Ik heb niet voor deze situatie gekozen dus ga van een passende oplossing uit.

                                      We booked car hire through Ryanair, however we were late in picking up at the airport, the same day, and interent cancelled our car and did not refund the amount we paid. They also wanted to charge as an extra 200 euros for another car.
                                      In the end we had to pay 55 euros in a taxi to our apartment, then an extra 80 euros for another car hire the following day. They said it wasn't they're problem. We contacted Ryanair and they told us we had to contact you for refund.

                                        I booked a car rental via EasyCar (billing through Cartrawler). On arrival, they refused to rent me the car, claiming my license must be British since I have a British address. There is no legal basis for this, but they said it's their policy (not stated in T&Cs). They cancelled the booking and said I would be eligible for a refund, so I contacted EasyCar and Cartrawler. Both refused, on the basis that the pickup time had already passed, even though I had no control over this and had provided all necessary documentation but was refused anyway. Awful service, avoid like the plague
