CarTrawler Refund

I was told I am getting a refund in the next 5 days as there was a big error.i was approved for vehicle online with my licence in my email.i gave my bank details as well then they took $145 strait off my card and wouldn't give me car as I didn't have a physical licence card. They put money back in my bank 4 days later and took it again and I still have not got back in 2 weeks. This is a scam and a joke.i have been trying to track money down all week and I'm not happy

Desired outcome: I want my money back now as it should be put back as fast as they took it.i should not have to wait over 2 weeks

CarTrawler Car Rental Issue

I booked a car rental reservation on Hotel.com Ref:US792201510 Feb18-Feb 23. When I arrived to pickup the vehicle I was advised that they could not accept my credit card per no chip option. I have an American Express card that only allows me to swipe. I am requesting assistance with getting this transferred to another date or refund as I have already prepaid online.

CarTrawler Car rental

Was not able to change name on reservation at the time of pick up, even with all the correct documentation.

I had to make a reservation for my husband, but at the time of reservation he did not have a credit card so I made the reservation, and at the time of pick up even with his driver license and credit card on his name he was not able to get the car because I had made the reservation.

Which is very inconsiderate that you couldn't change name on reservation; this is just traps to steal money from people.

CarTrawler Cartrawler car rental

We were unable to collect our car as we were asked to show a credit card with the full name of the lead driver and all his cards used his initial rather than first name (as is very common). This requirement (which we have never encountered before in many years of renting cars) was not stipulated at the time of booking. It was in the small print of a voucher sent three days before pickup but we did not appreciate its importance. We were told we could have the car for a payment three times that already made. We left. We will pursue a refund and compensation through the UK courts. We spoke to Cartrawler by phone during the pickup but they refused to help.

CarTrawler Car Hire

I booked a vehicle for use during my stay in QLD in April 2020. Despite this being partnered through Emirates, the airline I was planning to fly with, when the pandemic cancelled my flights Cartrawler continued to take the full cost of my hire from my bank account. They have failed to respond to earlier attempts to address this. Their booking management system now refuses to recognise my "historic" booking number. I am left with no method of gaining a response from the company let alone recompense for services not provided.

Desired outcome: Either a credit against an upcoming hire, or full return of monies paid.

CarTrawler Transfer from Dubai Airport

I booked through Emirates a transfer from Dubai Airport. It turned out that my booking was transferred for performance to a Spanish company. The driver did not show up and sent a friend of his to do the work. He did not even know our name and he had no credentials. We did not accept to enter the car. Cartrawler accepted liability and returned our booking fee. However, we also suffered additional costs, such as money paid for the transfer (more because we had to take alternative transfer at short notice) and calls to the Spanish company.

Desired outcome: As a result of your failure to provide the agreed services, we also had the following additional expenses, for which we request compensation:(1) Extra amount paid for hotel transfer, €25.(2) Cost of calls on this matter €150.

Very unprofessional I wish I had read all the complaints from several people before me. Unreliable, no way of contacting you.

Well, that being said. I will never go through a 3 party. It's [censored] of what we as consumers have to go through.

Untrust worthy company very shady. everyone if you keep getting directed when booking through to airlines make sure you are dealing with just that one airline. Somehow when you log into your airline you are being directed to a 3rd party.

Stay away from 3rd party websites, make sure you click on the website you pull up and search through the official site.

Desired outcome: REFUND me my money. You stated a CANCELATION up to the 24-hour period. My name is Steven Castro.

CarTrawler Cancellation

I am trying to log onto the website using the Manage My Booking link to cancel car hire booked for 9 days time. I have been trying to do this for 5 days now, but when I log on, the booking momentarily appears and then the screen redirects to the logon page. There is no telephone number provided to enable me to cancel my booking. How am I supposed to cancel without incurring charges when the website isn't working?

I have a trip coming up and i want to know where i can cancel my rental. i am in the United States. I have booked a car for February 20th. I want to cancel my reservation with you. I paid 431.27. I want to cancel. My card ending 31004. I never got a confirmation email.

Geachte,

Ik heb bij jullie een auto gehuurd met referentie ES567697120 op 26/10/2021.

De verhuring werd geannuleerd op 8/12/2021.

Er werd op de webside beloof dat ik bij annulering mijn geld volledig zou terugbetaald krijgen wat tot op heden niet gebeurd is.

Er werd mij een bericht gestuurd voor een vocher maar daar ga totaal niet mee akkoord!

Pésimo servicio, imposible cancelar y se quedan con el total del dinero, es un robo, mucho cuidado, son expertos en echar a perder las vacaciones. Además, en este caso la intención no era cancelar, ellos no tenían el carro con la certificación que se requiere para entrar a la ciudad de méxico, además de perder varias horas tratando de arreglar esto, perdimos también nuestro dinero.

CarTrawler Refuse to cancel reservation

I had terrible experience when I tried to cancel my booking with cartrawler. There isn't any proper contact/help desk. Pegasus airlines provided a number but when I call, I couldn't get service in my own language. I was on time (actually even earlier) to pick up the car but had ab issue with the card. The agent at the avis desk told me to call cartrawler. By the time I found a contact it was after the booking time. Also, I talked to the agent for 16 minutes. He said they can't refund. It is nonsense to pay for the service that I didn't get. He created a ticket which would be issued in 20 days. This is ridiculous. I will try every option to get the refund. The company not respond my email for a claim and no customer service information on website. I cancell my reservation on site (airport) because want me bro pay 3000 American dollars for insurance o deposit 19000 USD for deposit if I refuse to pay the insurance. I had to cancel and find solutions on a foreign country because of that. Now is been a month an no refound and no body to contac

CarTrawler Refusing to cancel the reserved car

Around October 1st, 2021, I looked uo car rental for Nice airport and reserved a rental car for November 6th 20201 in the amount of $766.43 and unfortunately provided them with my credit card online. Their site indicated you can cancel it up to 24 or 48 hours before arrival. On October 25th I found a better deal at the same airport for $336.82 and tried several times to cancel the reservation and they made it impossible to cancel. I even looked up a phone number for them in France and it was in french and I left a message. Since I had a difficult time to reach anyone at this company, I contacted American Express and I was told not to worry and the filed a dispute. Now the company is challenging my dispute stating it was no show. It is obvious on my credit card that I have the new charge for different car rental at the same airport. It seems as many people have had the same experience. I should not be responsible for the service I tried several time to cancel and did not use. I will not pay this

CarTrawler Impossible to cancel a reservation

I made a booking through CarTrawler with the option it is possible to cancel the reservation 48 hours before without any fees. They make it impossible for you to cancel your reservation. Trying to edit your reservation online the page does not open after entering your details.
Tried to email them and I receive a return reply that the e-mail could not be delivered and I should try later again.

Everyone should stop using them as they are a complete rip off and non existent service without being possible to contact anyone or talk with anyone to resolve any issue you will have!

CarTrawler Car hire cancellation

I am disgusted by the fact When I cancelled my car hire agreement with Budget (policy was through Cartrawler) I was told that I would expect a refund in 5 days yet when this didn't occur I called Budget rentacars and they told me to call Cartrawler which I did who told me I had no chance of a refund as my rental Agreement was still open. When I arrived at London Gatwick on the 5th Nov 2021 I went to the Budget desk and they told
Me I had no reservation ! I explained to the customer service people I had cancelled one day after booking and with 3 days before I was due to pick up the car in London Gatwick and they again said no chance then I asked for a coupon for a future rental and they said no, I then asked to move the date forward but again was refused any refund and was quoted clause 4
I am discussed with Cartrawler as I have used them in the past but this time they do not come near I rate them minus -10/10 . Revise your policy now …I will take this further to the watchdog.

This company cheating and not returning money, don't take any service from them, as they try find reason don't give a car and then you will ask about get yours money back, they will answer we will start checking after 20 days, and rufle after 1 months you will get answer, you did somfing wrog, and you will not get money back. CarTrawler Rent of car in alicante airport.

Reservé un coche con Goldcar el día 21 sept. 2021, en Alicante airport.
Me vi obligado a firmar este último contrato pagado 771, 59 e., porque me invalidaron mi anterior reserva con Cartrawler, por llegar cuatro horas más tarde a recoger el coche.
El Booking number es: ES543561560, por el alquiler del primer coche, con Cartrawler, que me costó 313.03 e., del 21 sept, hasta el 2 de octubre 2021.
Confío que al menos me devuelvan los 313 e. por el alquiler del primer coche. Espero su respuesta.

CarTrawler Refund for renting a car and the not delivered

Representatives of Cartrawler,

I did book and paid a car through Cartrawler, for the 21 of sept 2021, till the 2 october 2021, to be collected at Alicante airport.

The Booking number is: ES543561560, and I had paid 313 euros for the rent, but when I went to collect it, as I was a few hours delayed, then I was told that the reserve was not valid any longer.
So I had to find another way, but I was quite disappointed.
So now my request would be: ¿Could I be refunded that 313 e.?
I trust that you will kindly consider the return of that amount on my card.

CarTrawler Unable to contact CarTrawler to Cancel reservation

I booked a vehicle on 30 Sept 2021 to take me to my hotel on 11 Dec after I arrive in Dubai. However, a few days after making this reservation, my company informed me that I would be required to make a business trip to another country so I needed to cancel this trip.

I have tried numerous times to reach CarTrawler by sending them emails (their email inbox is full), online forms (constant error messages) and phone calls (no response) so I am unable to cancel my reservation and request my refund.

My reservation number is AE556981200. Below is the email confirmation I received from them after completing my payment;
