We purchased this unit in November of 2018 at Camping World Tyler, Texas and had a leak at the time and was assured it would be fixed through there rigorous testing. In June of 2019 we had to take it back to Tyler, Tx service department for the same leak. It stayed in there shop for three months due to having to replace the whole water damaged slide from a...

Last year we took out Alfa see ya to Camping World, in Albuquerque, NM to get some items checked. It came back stating that the touch pad for auto level was bad and need replaced, along with ac thermostat, the bedroom slide out motor needed to be replaced, and lastly the inverter needed to be changed new due to draining of battery. We were told it would...

I depleted all sources of financial accounts set aside for Retirement in excess of $100k+ for the purchase of a dream RV, which quickly turned into a nightmare. This issue only became apparent after the purchase and arriving home in L.A. one week after taking possession (delivery) of the unit. At the time of the first incident, LAFD was dispatched due to the noise factor from the Generator and called in by a local resident. Upon their arrival, they requested paramedic transport after administering field toxicity tests, including a level reading of Carbon Monoxide emissions which were located in the front of the cab. The tests were conclusively considered to be "lethal" and "off the charts." They could not determine where or why such a reading would exist inside the Coach, however explained they are first responders, not mechanics and advised I had best contact the party who had sold it to me.
Two days thereafter, once again, LAFD was called to my unit for a welfare check, as I barely made it out of the door prior to my knees and legs giving way, and falling to the ground. As I scratched with my nails to pull my body to safety, I was found unconscious, laying on the sidewalk next to the RV. Naturally, transport was dispatched, yet again, levels of emissions/exhaust were read, again, same area, same circumstance, same result.
The second hospitalization, the Dr. (s) informed me how very close to death I had come and out of ordinary course, if it didn't kill me while asleep, rest assured the third time, whether wide awake or in slumber, would be the last breath I would ever take.
Approximately two weeks thereafter I received two separate citations, both for $750 each, however, the second citation included a Polaroid photograph reflecting a Federal Mandate dated June 2014 that the detector MUST be replaced. I purchased the RV Deathtrap in late August, 2016.
After 6 to 7 months of attempting to resolve this issue with Camping World (amongst many others) who vehemently denied there was anything faulty with the Generator, I was eventually placed on ignore, blocked from all Social Media Platforms to voice my experience and when I did receive any communication it was always demanded by way of a telephone call rather than a response in writing.
Throughout my Top Security Cleared career with the DoD/D.I. A., I learned early on when a company states by way of recorded message or after a call is answered, you will ALWAYS hear the identical announcement that the call may be monitored for the purposes of quality control (right, what quality and what control?) This is done for the sole purpose of not leaving a paper trail construed as an admission of guilt on the recording parties' end. The recordation, if it exists, is then deleted from all servers, resulting in no evidence of any call or complaint ever received, logged nor located.
The RV was salvaged within less than one year of ownership, leaving me with no place to live, and no funds by which to live on. I had no other alternative than to reside in my Insta-tent, where I remain to date. Camping World refused to accept any responsibility for almost killing me, yet has accepted my having to reside in a tent after happily taking every last cent I'd ever had for its' purchase. Shortly after resolving myself to this most unwelcome and unasked for set of circumstances, I was diagnosed with late stage BIA ALCL (Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma) requiring Surgery and follow-up Treatment. As of today, I have had the surgery (absent Oncologists' knowledge of my living conditions) and have commenced treatment (also absent Oncologists' knowledge of my living conditions.) I find I am in a race to see which scenario I will succumb to:
a) complications from treatment due to a - zero immune system; or
b) exposure to the harsh elements and present uninhabitable living conditions, as the weather has turned quite hot overnight; or
c) infection of COVID-19 exposure running rampant in this County, resulting in probable death due to a severely compromised immune system.
There were, of course, many additional issues of concern, such as an Ensen at PT. Mugu NAS falling off of the soldered ladder which apparently had broken and band-aid repaired prior to the sale. He hit his head and was transported to the hospital where he remained under observation for close to one week.
Additionally, Camping World held the Title to the RV hostage until the time of salvage. During this time, I chose to contact the Texas DMV and spoke to a Supervisor regarding their failure to send the executed Title, preventing me from legally registering it in my home state, including, without limitation, the ability to place the unit into storage, as required for proof of ownership. Nevertheless, CW did send a form from the DMV requesting I complete, execute and return to CW, for a duplicate Title, as it was lost in the mail. (My dog ate my homework) The Supervisor then asked me a series of questions such as had I ever seen the Title within their file? I did not. Had they ever shown me the Title? They did not. I was then informed by the DMV that they never maintained possession of said Title to begin with, being the reason they required I request a duplicate. This form was to be executed under Penalty of Perjury and therefore I was not about to commit fraud. I received a call from the Supervisor a couple of days later to advise of a certain Code Section directly relating to Dealership advertising and/or selling any vehicle absent possession of the original Title. The following is Code §43 TEX. ADMIN CODE §245] This Rule can be located in pertinent part under the Texas Administrative Code TITLE 43, PART 10, CHAPTER 215, SUBCHAPTER H, RULE §215.245 (d) (2).
Upon closer review of the form CW provided, I noted an unfamiliar unknown address filled into the area of where to forward the new title. I then contacted the U.S. Postal Inspector in order to obtain the name of the entity to whom the address belonged to. It turned out to be a UPS Postal Box registered to the Salesman at CW, Ron Ellisor in Houston, Texas. With this knowledge and confirmation in writing forwarded to me, I again contacted CW's RM Eric Olsen advising him of this illegal activity. He responded to my eMail with "please call me at the office to discuss." At this point I replied stating "no more telephone calls, PERIOD." Any further Communication will only be acknowledged by myself in writing.
Inasmuch as I do realize that it would appear I have exceeded the Statute of Limitations, I actually have not. I had previously requested all service and maintenance records to be sent to me regarding the RV. Each request always stated they would comply and send out the same day, yet I never received anything. Approximately 4 months thereafter I did receive an envelope from CW which did contain certain records, of which were only from the date of my purchase through the date I received that envelope. I had requested ALL documentation and service records.
This last past year, I was served twice with a Federal Notice of Deposition for Personal Appearance and Demand for Production of Documents on a matter I was not involved in as a Plaintiff or otherwise. The subject matter of this lawsuit pertained to a specific model of a refrigerator I happened to have installed within my RV at the time of purchase. Throughout the course of 2 full days of testimony, upon conclusion both counsel provided me with copies of all documentation pertaining to my RV which were received via a Demand for Production and served upon CW. Upon review of volumes of paperwork, I located a service order dated two days prior to my flight from L.A. to Houston to pick up the unit. Said service order pertained directly to a faulty generator which was emitting Carbon Monoxide from the exhaust and terminating into the front of the cabin. The record further requested a response from the GM as to what should be done with this issue. The GM wrote leave "AS-IS" and prepare for delivery. This record clearly reflects their knowledge of a pre-existing problem which the GM insisted from the beginning there was nothing wrong with the Generator and it was all in my head. It has been less than one year since this document was discovered.
*Please note, I maintain ALL documented and photographic evidence supporting all claims set forth herein.
Desired outcome: A roof over my head!

Shipping
I ordered a AC unit for my RV on 07/26/2021, Order number 5065772, I called and found out it was in stock in Bakersfield, California, so I ordered it and paid extra for guaranteed 2 day shipping, I waited 5 days and called to find out it was setting on dock waiting pick- up. They then said they would refund me the extra shipping cost, so they did, again I waited, called again to find out when they refunded the extra shipping cost, they also moved it to a 14 day shipping date. This caused me to have to leave rv campsite because one ac would not get my rv below 100 degrees, this cost me a loss in campsite fees of $125.00 .
I do feel they done me wrong and im sure it will get blamed on Covid19, at this point ill never do business with camping world, and im not going to renew my Good Sams membership
Desired outcome: Cover my loss with Lake Pleasant of $125.00
sales, title troubles, trailer issues
The salesman had our address wrong, i pointed it out, he said they would correct on their end. Was not given our power cord with the trailer when we bought it, Got a screw in tire when it came out of their shop, screen doors weren't operational due to wrong screws. First time camping awning came off, cabinet door broke, air conditioner leaked amongst various other things. Title was not mailed to us in fact was supposedly sent to the address i pointed out to be incorrect, they said it was sent certified but would not give tracking number. Trailer has been in shop 3 weeks, no one will update us other than waiting on warranty to approve. Wait it was brand new and cover for a year under warranty what is there to approve?
Desired outcome: I have made 2 months worth of payments and used 1 time. I want people held accountable to all the run around
2021 THOR MOTOR COACH
Bought brand new 140k motor coach in april. Drove home ac did not work. Called camping world store manager (jeff-lubbock tx) after several weeks of trying to fixed they came and got it and couple weeks later brought back. Week after got back got recall from thos saying ford did not fill rear-end with fluids and was told i had to take to dealership (ford) after a month of phone tag with (jeff-lubbock) he stopped responding to my text. So i found out on my own that coach had to be taken to a ford dealership in (odessa tx) for recall so set appointment up and took 9-1-2021 and soon as i leave town the check engine light starts flashing so i kept eye on temperatures and decided it was going to make trip and along the way the ac stopped blowing cold air again. Got to ford and they state they can only fix recall and they can not even hook up to see why engine light is coming on. Tell me i have to take to camping world. This rv has 1800 miles on it and the 1400 miles came from thor driving to camping world. Have had since april and made payments since then and can not use coach.
Desired outcome: NEW COACH OR REFUND OR COMPLETELY GONE THROUGH BY FORD AND THOR.
Return Policy
On September 1st, 2021, I purchased a generator for my RV from the Jacksonville Florida Camping World. On September 2nd, 2021, I opened the box to read the operators manual. The operators manual was the only item removed from the original box. On September 2nd, 2021, I found a generator in a store from the same manufacturer with higher wattage operation ranges for a better price than I paid at Camping World. I called Camping World, up to and including the Corporate Office and was told that per Corporate Policy, I could not return the generator. As a consumer, I don't understand this policy, as all it word take is to retape the box shut and resell the product that was never removed from the box.

"Going through" campers before selling
Don't go to Camping World! Read the entire story, please!
Went to camping world of Windham almost a month before taking a 4500 mile trip looking for a camper in our budget, around 10k. Had a decent sales associate and after driving to another camping world in north Conway and another in Limington only 1 was a good weight for my truck and had what we thought we needed. Associate took a 2k deposit and said I'll be on vacation in Nashville TN but they will pull it out and go through it thoroughly I promise I'll tell them to because of your trip. Showed up following week, granted the break lines on my truck finally rotted out and I needed the camper delivered, which a nice older gentleman did for us. However we waited an hour to be seen for paperwork, lived the lady who saw us but no one took the camper out in 2 weeks to look through it! It is a 2005 zeppelin z11, just so if they look, they know who they [censored]ed over! First the kid "tech" for our walk through spilled no one added it to the list to be pulled out so waited 3 hours for that. During the walk through, half the [censored] inside didn't work and he was clueless to why. Get it home thinking ok everything else worked... Wrong! The battery was wired backwards because they are idiots and didn't realize on that model black is power, white is ground. Converter fried, auto reset breakers fried battery toast the day before we are to leave on our trip. Wife called service and the [censored] who answered said well that sucks and said nothing we can do, you can make an appointment. I have photos and plan to use them once I'm back. So off on the trip we go with a [censored]ed up trailer. No ac while in Niagara Falls, get to Ohio, my Army buddy and I start replacing stuff. New resets, new breakers, new battery and holy crap power! However converter still fried so we robbed the trickle charger from my truck for the battery. I message my sales associate who said he would have a better tech call me yet I'm on my trip... get to Kentucky still power. Get to my moms in Missouri and her BF starts going through the power and AC while we are out. Finds wasps nests in AC. Finds outlets above stove screwed up, fixed the pop out switch because it was backwards and we put in a new converter. Made it to Mississippi and find a leak in the pop out, the bench is torn away from the wall because of water damage prior. Now headed back to Maine and almost completely fixed and re-did the entire electrical because these [censored] don't give a [censored] about a 10k customer, which my sale associate stopped writing back after I called them out on that. I will never recommend camping world to any of my friends in and out of the military, let alone anyone who asks about campers! You [censored]ed me and my wife no lube and smiled! I hope you burn to the ground! Also that battery wasn't new!
Desired outcome: I want my camper fixed or a comparable one! After I spent the money to fix it on the road!
Deceptive sales practices
In 2015 my wife and I went to Camping world to trade our pull behind trailer for a fithwheel camper. I chose a camper online and we we to Camping World to check it and some other products that were on the lot. We told the sales guy that we were looking for our retirement camper. In other words something that would last. We got snookered and was sold a disposable camper that only last a 1/4 of the time it was financed before major dollars have to be spent to fix defective windows, roof caps. I could understand one window having a issue but multiple windows having the same problem leaking.
According to a forum about Keystone campers this is a serious issue and health hazard. The service associate checked on my extended warranty and evidently they knew ahead of time about the leaky issues and had a stipulation in their policy about rotten wood.
Also Camping World is in bed with their lender cause they will finance a camper that is only good for 5 or six years for 20 years
So there are several areas that the sales practices Camping world deceives a prospective buyer.
Desired outcome: I would like for camping world to buy this camper back or at the very least fix the defective windows and the affected walls and floors

I bought my new travel trailer from Camping world in Toms River NJ, 8-20 and bought GS Extended Warranty. Service
I walked into the Camping World at 48 Miller Jackson Tn to get my camper serviced and met Autumn, the front desk lady taking all my important information. As I started talking to her my husband recognized who this Autumn girl was and unfortunately we had to leave due to this being the girl that just got arrested for theft at Walmart. If these are the kind of people you employ then I'll take my camper somewhere else. She hands all our check and debit card info and I wont give info like that to a thief!

We purchased a Coleman Light 2455 BH on May 16, 2021 in Coburg, Oregon. We Picked it up on May 24th. With an entire week between purchase and pick up we anticipated that the trailer would be ready. We did our walk through and discovered that the toilet was leaking and the dinette table top was damaged. They planned to fix those. After signing papers and going out to tow the trailer home, we discovered the latch to tie the screen door to the door was damaged and not connecting. They managed to fix it, although had to kind of do a "fix" to get it to work. After we got the trailer home we discovered that the locking latch on the outdoor kitchen would not operate properly. After multiple calls to resolve this we finally got three locks in the mail and were able to replace the faulty lock. The parts department seemed to have great difficulty figuring out how to help us. We are not in a position to just tow the trailer the 45 miles to the dealer every time we have a problem. We have not even used the trailer yet and keep discovering problems. Now we have noticed that the light in the bathroom doesn't work, the plywood panel under one side of the dinette is not sized properly and the hole is in the wrong place so that is un-useable for storage, and the table rocks; we can't get it to seat firmly in the post holes.
We are definitely concerned about whether we will encounter any other problems and safety concerns once we start using the trailer. This is seriously frustrating and we definitely will not be referring any one to Camping World. Too bad, we were happy with our first purchase and would have referred many friends who are planning to purchase trailers soon.
Another issue that we want to mention is that the finance manager, Joe, at the Coburg location was extremely rude and dismissive when we had questions about our loan. Our own finance representative, Brett, was helpful and pleasant.
To sum up, we are not happy with our service at the Coburg location.
Desired outcome: Get our problems resolved without extra effort on our part. Covid 19 is no longer a viable excuse.
