Since we signed up with Boomer Benefits, she has done nothing to support us. First, after sign-up, we had to call and write around to even find out she was our representative. After months of requesting medicare advantage program comparison information, she wrote this email to me below. Still no comparison plan.
Regarding TRICARE for Life and the Medicare/Medicare Advantage plan, it works separately or as a supplement to either plan. You do not need to have a Medicare Advantage plan until you would like the additional coverage and benefit coverage. You mentioned you were wanting to look into plans primarily for higher dental, vision and hearing benefits. Looking around at the current plans in your area, there is not substantial differences in coverages. For dental, I can only get you about $500 more in coverage. However, the higher dental benefits you received, the lower the hearing and vision coverage appears to be.
If you are still wanting to review, we would need to set an appointment and complete about an hour-long presentation of one single plan.
I only have your Trulicity medication on file. You stated you were going to get me others, but I never received anything from you. If you are wanting to move forward with reviewing plans, I will need those medications or an email from you stating that you will not be picking any of your medications up under this plan.
Please let me know how you would like to proceed.
I have written to her to let her inform Boomer benefits we do not need their service.
Desired outcome: A professional who knows what they are doing and care about folks to assist with these complicated Medicare programsComparison plan of other medicare advantage plans, this public information.
rejected my application for no valid reason
Boomer benefits is an insurance company that deals with supplying supplemental medicare policies. They have a five star and wonderful reviews on every web-site, even the super critical complaint web-sites!. Sounds great!. For myself not so much. The tributes and rave reviews are beyond terrific!. Members registered with boomer benefits cannot express how wonderful they are needing help with problems for medicare or any problems their outstanding customer agents will provide!.
I tried to register with boomer benefits but was declined on purely a communication error between myself and the boomer benefit agent I spoke with.
This involved their parent company mutual of omaha. The agent at boomer benefits I have an impression she was not a shining star as they all appear based on their reviews. She told me to contact medicare to confirm the doctor accepted medicare. No problem. To the boomer benefit she was overly cautious about approval and stated she needed to confirm my application. I the following day mutual of omaha deducted over one hundred dollars from my checking account. This would have been avoided if the agent had confirmed money would be deducted prior to approval!. That does seem odd, what if you were not approved for whatever reason?.
Now, I have to wait for a refund from mutual of omaha. Boomer benefits rejected me prior toexplaining this was their procedure.
I tried to re-apply but boomer benefits refused in a rude and nearly arrogant attitude. Despite boomer benefits rejection, I have to wait nearly a month for my refund. Nice!
Medicare insurance is very competitive. Boomer benefits is only an insurance provider. Five points does not reflect negative attitudes towards membership individual. Poor customer does not deserve five star ratings.
Good luck with boomer benefits if you choose. With their attitude you might be next to be rejected.in the future what happened to myself could become routine rejections for no valid reason, based only on their subjective evaluations. Waiting for refunds could always become problems. Why do they deduct money prior to approval?
Boomer Benefits led me to find the best supplement policy and Part D medicine plan in about the simplest process I have ever been through. About a month into my plan beginning - I had an issue with the insurance carrier - NOT BOOMERS - so instead of waiting on hold for hours with Manhattan Life, I just called Boomer and my sweet rep immediately came to the rescue. Her quick action and professionalism was top notch. If it wasn't for Boomer Benefits, I would probably still be on hold waiting for the customer service at the insurance company. It is so great to know that we have someone in our "corner" to represent us and handle any problems. Thank you Boomer Benefits and if you are turning 65 and getting ready to go on Medicare Call them... You will not regret it!
I have been a very happy client of Boomer Benefits for a just over a year. Anticipating facing the labyrinth and daunting task of Medicare (80%) and the 20% I needed to makeup and pay for supplemental insurance, Boomers had my back from the first call I made, with Paulette Dodd and Valaree Gray and staff! This I know, they are not an insurance company, but guide consumers to the best options to their/my benefit.
What I did not know, was that in my first year as a Medicare Patient, I learned that I needed Prostate Cancer Surgery! Valaree made me aware that it would be wise to change my Supplemental Insurance. This move proved to be wise as the associated medical providers, services and Doctors and their assistants was very expensive and I avoided the added stress of paying what Medicare did not cover.
Boomer Benefits suggested a very strong Supplemental Insurance and I was spared the added stress of bills to pay while in recovery. They, Boomers Benefits has had my back! Gratefully, Louis Zezza, Florida
