Booking.com review: Booking.com unfulfilled refund & refusal to provide swift mt103 - reservation #6525074673
On August 29, 2026, I booked a reservation (#6525074673) for Basileus Apartments Budva through Booking.com. The reservation was subsequently cancelled, and Booking.com officially confirmed via email that a full cash refund would be issued to my bank account.
On October 1, 2026, Booking.com’s Finance Department officially confirmed that the refund process had been initiated and explicitly committed to completing it within 7 to 12 business days.
As of today, October 16, 2026, the 12-business-day timeframe specified by Booking.com has officially expired. Despite providing full and accurate IBAN/SWIFT details for my bank (Halkbank) and despite my repeated follow-up emails, no funds have been deposited into my account, nor have I received any response or an official SWIFT MT103 / UTR / ARN reference number to trace the transaction.
A company that portrays itself as a global corporate leader has shown complete negligence, failing to abide by its own written commitments and ignoring customer communications. Due to this unacceptable experience, I have already initiated a formal Chargeback procedure through my bank and will never use Booking.com again.
I demand the immediate provision of the SWIFT MT103 reference document and the prompt resolution of my refund.
Recommendation: If you value your time and self-respect, stay away from Booking.com.
Thank you for your valuable advice, C. Grimes. I have just followed your guidance, sent the final notice email to Booking.com incorporating the ACM threat, and forwarded the complete paper trail to my bank for the chargeback process. Appreciate your support!

You already have the strongest lever, the chargeback, so do not let it stall. Send Booking.com one final written demand for the SWIFT MT103 or UTR reference within 5 business days, quoting reservation [protected], the October 1 finance email, and the expired 7 to 12 day window. Copy their complaints team and state that silence will be treated as a failure to refund and forwarded to the Dutch consumer authority. Give your bank the same email chain so the chargeback file shows the merchant's own written commitment. Then stop chasing and let the paper trail work.
