BMW / Bayerische Motoren Werke - defect after defect

My name is robert horsley, on february 24, 2011 I took delivery of a 2008 750 li bmw from rick hendrick bmw in charlotte, nc. within days, I began to experience problems with this vehicle, such as hearing a squeaking noise when applying pressure to the brakes, and a faulty tpm reset lite. I made several attempts to reset the lite, however it was unsuccessful. on march 11, 2011 I took this vehicle in for maintenance to a different bmw service department for the items mentioned above for repair, they removed and installed new front and back brake pads... something I questioned to why this was not completed during diagnostic testing and repair prior to selling a certified pre-owned bmw. after driving this vehicle two weeks later the tpm lite came back on and there is a problem now with the vehicle changing gears while accelerating during take-off. also, there is vibration in the steering as if there is an alignment issue or out of balance or some sort. on april 11, 2011, this vehicle is back once again in the bmw service department. the technicians drained and filled the transmission with new fluid, and then ran test plan for clearing clutch adaptions from egs control unit. test drove 5 miles to verify that the problem was gone. transmission shifted normal every time after repair, but they were unsuccessful at figuring out why this vehicle has a vibration issue at multiple speeds during travel, nor could they figure out why the tpm lite constantly appears on the panel for reset. this vehicle was in repair with bmw service department from april 11, 2011 at 12:00pm to april 12, 2011 at 5:30pm. the technician from leith bmw called me 30 minutes prior to the close of business to inform me they would need to keep this vehicle an additional day to receive information back from bmw in reference to the repair issues, because it pertains to the transmission, and they need answers of how to handle it. I was irate to say the least due to the fact I had not plan to stay overnight an additional day. this vehicle is clearly not up to company standards, this entire ordeal has been very frustrating to say the least, making monthly payments on a bmw which demands trips to the service department less than 30 days of purchase is not a good representation of a bmw product. I am not a technician of any sort, however I feel there is a transmission/computer issue with this vehicle causing multiple problems. many of which I feel should have been resolved prior to purchase or classified as a lemon! i'm upset because I have made several calls, e-mails and sent all service invoices to the service managers, cpo managers, sales managers, and the general managers to explain the repair issues and not to mention my frustration. rick hendrick bmw of charlotte, nc has not owned up to their mistake of selling this vehicle with several defects, nor have they tried to provide some sort of solution to resolve the issue, considering expense of this purchase. rick hendrick bmw of charlotte, nc simply could care less! the cpo manager had the audacity to inform me that they were ranked highest for customer satisfaction, obviously I am not in that category, the only satisfaction i'm concern with is my own, and it hasn't been great! reality is the customer decides if they are satisfied or not, if rick hendrick bmw of charlotte, nc continues to treat bying customers poorly, due to complaints regarding a recent purchase. they will not be known at all, because consumers will continue to take their business elsewhere, and rick hendrick bmw of charlotte, nc will be out of business! exactly where they should be!
Do not lie to your customers about the condition of your vehicles! pre-owned or certified pre-owned.
