We were forced to pay up front for a visit with Kaleigh Suhs, DO at Ironwood. Our deductible had been met. After receiving the Explanation of Benefits from our insurance, we were due a refund of 80% of the amount paid up front. We called Banner billing five times over two months. Every single time the person we spoke to confirmed that we were due a refund and they would process it within a couple of weeks. All 5 people lied to us. Apparently Banner has an internal secret policy to keep patients money that should be refunded. FIve times is more than a coincidence!. Finally, after the 5th Banner liar in billing told us the refund would be processed tha day (but we didn’t receive it after two weeks, we had no choice but to contact Banner’s CEO in writing. We received the refund that day.
Recommendation: DO NOT PAY IN ADVANCE. THEY WILL MAKE IT HELL FOR YOU TO GET IT BACK
