Banfield Pet Hospital review: Honestly zero star!!!!

Signed up with banfield for a puppy wellness plan with neuter included as opposed to the basic plan. They knew when I signed up that I had a doberman pinscher as I had to fill out an online form before my appointment. So I went in for my appointment they gave my dog his exam & 1st set of puppy shots they clearly could see he is a doberman so they took a blood sample for the included dna as a courtesy to see his lineage. 2025) they never mentioned that hey your dogs breed has

Willerbrands disease I completed my purchase & we left. Then I went back for a second round of testing & shots they asked me when I was thinking about scheduling my dogs neuter and I told them after he turns 1 which was june 9th 2026. Then dr comes in to tell me they cannot neuter until I get the von willerbrands blood test since he carries 1 variant, dna states in black & white that they normally have to carry 2 variants to have the disease. I asked how much is the test, she said I will get the price. After 15 minutes she comes back with $350.
Tuesday 8/42026 same story but test is now $427!

Give me a straight answer as to why I was not informed of this from our initial
Encounter! They do not inform you that your pet is taken to another room without the owner present to examine & given shots, which is now causing me stress since I don't even know if they gave my dog his shots. I went in to get his heartworm, flea and tick meds and they gave me another client's medication for my dog! On top of that the practice manager told me I can go to the numerous vets around but they refuse to give me a credit for the difference between wellness plan w/o neuter! They are charging my card every month $77.00 for service (with neuter) I am not getting & was told to go elsewhere so I will not get my remaining services but they refuse to stop charging me until november when plan ends!
They said I used $1300.00 in services & at the end of my plan will only be paying $930.
But no neuter!
How can 1 rabies,1st puppy shots & 2 dewormers & 1 stool sample test, 2 physical exams amount to $1300.00?!
Here's another shady tactic they pull...
When you're called in with your dog, they take you to a room, discuss what they're going to do, then they take your dog into another room down the hall where you're not with your dog so you have no idea if they're even getting their shots or exam! Then the vet tech vet me & my dog are all in that same small room again that we initially went in, like wth!
I asked why aren't you doing the exam and giving the shots in this room aside from her saying that the room is too small, yet we're all in it at the end of the visit. She said well people pass out from seeing their dogs get shots. I said well then you should ask each individual if they are ok with seeing their pets meds administered.
On top of that issue, I went to get my dogs june simparica trio & they gave me another clients dogs medication.
Then a nasty phone call from their practice manager (wow we) because I left bad feedback!
