I have been locked out of my AT&T account since 24 Jul 25. AT&T locked up my account on their own and any attempt on my part to sign in was not recognized. It showed “It’s not your fault It’s us” “Try again Later”. After so many attempts to login I was locked out of my account. When trying to log into my account after that It asked me to change my password, but that option failed. To change your password you have to have a cell phone to get the 6 digit code and I only have a landline. Here’s where it gets interesting, customer service can only send you a 6 digit code through the US Mail. That will take up to 15 days to receive. 5 days for AT&T to process it to place it in the mail and then 7 to 10 days before you receive it. That means no email capability for up to 15 days, but AT&T expects to get full payment on services that they fail to provide. I was told if you fail to make your payment on time you will be charged late fees. What a heartless company wanting full payment for deceased services. Customer service told me that they will not and cannot accept any action items or even elevate any issue to get it resolved. Most companies Information Technology (IT) can get a customer back into their account within minutes but with AT&T it will take up to 15 days. So here I am with no email or no way to sign into my AT&T account until the mail arrives with the 6 digit code. Then I will have to call AT&T to see what value it has in opening up my account so I can gain access. This is the 21st century and this is the best AT&T has to offer its customers who get locked out for their account.

Claimed loss: No AT&T account access for a minimum of 15 days. This means no email and no way to pay on line or access my AT&T account.

Desired outcome: AT&T when customers get locked out of their AT&T account provide them a 6 digit code to a landline my voice and not through a cell phone or add the capability to answer security questions to get the 6 digit code on line.
