American Medical Association [AMA] Refused treatment by northshore health systems

I was refused an office visit on Wed [protected] because of my health insurance Meridian. The office visit was at North Shore, 9301 Gold Rd Suite 302, Des Plaines, IL with Dr. Wolfman. And Northshore keeps making me go to pre-office visits before I can actually have a checkup. Nothing was explained to me prior to the visit after I filled out tons of different forms just to get the appt.

My name is Walter Brzeski phone number [protected]

Hipaa and ethics complaint.
On 8/262020 our company arranged Covid test for all employees through this company and this doctor who signed the scrip.
A waiver was signed to allow the testing facility to share the results with the company. Share!
To this date 9/17/2020I as the patient Has yet to received the results. But we've learned that the company receive the results of our test on September 1.
the priority and loyalty of the doctor and medical staff at this facility is to the patient.
I have received nothing! I only agreed to share the results with the company but in order to share I must first possess the results!
This if anything is highly unethical!
If not in violation of HIPAA laws.
Thanks you
Please contact me.

American Medical Association [AMA] Sunnyvale texas baylor scott and white hospital

My 77yr. old husband went by ambulance Monday morning the 24th. of August 2020 for severe dehydration. After 4 hrs. of testing transferred to a room. I found out by accident after over 30 hrs. there, he was in the Covid ward. My husband is very ill with COPD has been house bound all year, we have nurses come in. Not only did they not tell me he was in the Covid ward they were letting me spend all day Monday and Tuesday with him. When I told his respiratory therapist I was told to remove him at once. So at 10:30 Tuesday night I had to drive 80 miles (round trip) in the pouring rain to get him. No one would help me because they were mad about me taking him out. The Dr. told me that everyone that came in was put in the Covid ward until they tested negative. To me that is saying you don't have it lets make sure you get it! My children are convinced this was intentional because of the extra money they get for Covid patients. Now my husband and I both are quarantined for 14 days.

American Medical Association [AMA] Bryan Scott Shaver, pa-c - malpractice

Thursday - Aug 6th, 2020
Having recently relocated to Elkhart Texas, I needed to find a new physician. I contacted the Christus Health, and despite telling them I wanted a doctor and not a PA, I was given an appointment with a PA without my knowledge. After meeting with the PA, less than 5 minutes, the Mr. Shaver told me I should stop taking my Insulin. When I told him I would not because without it my Glucose levels are too high, he told me that 'You Glucose levels are just a function of your diet.' Implying that my diet was the issue. I told him I have an extremely healthy diet that came to be after consulting with an Endocrinologist and a Nutritionist. I told him my Glucose will go to over 200. It responded with 'So!'
'What's wrong with that?' I was shocked that he would be telling me that, as he had only met me 5 minutes earlier, and they had not received my medical records from the other doctors. I told him I would NOT stop taking the insulin. He became agitated. I had ALL my current prescription with me for him to see. One prescription, he said he would NOT refill it because it was a controlled substance. When I explained that I had been taking that medication for over 30 years as it was prescribed after seeing my doctor, a Psychiatrist, a phycologist and a pharmacologist, he told me he could fill it but it was just so hard and had so much paperwork involved because of the laws. I then asks about my blood pressure medicine. I was taking Amlodipine but it was causing massive swelling of my feet. He wrote me a prescription for Hydrochlorothiazide. I assumed that it was safe, since I had just spent several minutes telling the nurse I was allergic to Penicillin and Codeine.
When he left the room, I heard the nurse talking with him quietly. Then I
heard her say 'You can't do that!' A minute later, she came in and sat down
and shook her head and said 'Sorry!'.
She then told me that he would be filling all the prescriptions.

After getting the Hydrochlorothiazide and taking it for a couple of days, I decided to look it up online as I do with all my medications. One of the first lines for that drug was 'Do not take if allergic to Penicillin!' I'm lucky I didn't have any kind of reaction. I then called Dr. Laws office who is supposed to be his supervising doctor since he is only a PA. I was told the doctor would call me back but he never did. Instead, I got a letter telling me that Mr. Shaver would no longer be treating me. I had been fired from being a patient. What the hell!. Extremely bad and dangerous advice. Writing prescriptions without reading the patients chart or even asking questions. Downright laziness. And now the Dr. in charge is too chicken to talk to his patient.

American Medical Association [AMA] U.S. Naval medical center portsmouth

Joining the USN in 1987, I became an EEG Technician, stationed at Portsmouth Naval Medical Center (PNMC). Upon reclaiming an Afrocentric name (1992) — I had a "perfect" corpsman record, and reenlisted — I was targeted for a "kangaroo" AdminSepBoard after I defeated them at the UCMJ. I'm still seeking reconciliation. Norfolk Naval Base JAG officer H. Hanna informed me they regularly were contacted by PNMC to "do their dirty work." The navy violated "double-jeopardy" laws. I have mounds of Official Docs proving my claims. I've currently gone into restitution overload mode by contacting multiple government agencies, my Congressional Representative (Anthony G. Brown, unfortunately for me, he's ex-navy), and I've been exposing the terrorism and travesty I've experienced to press agencies, "Invisible Wars," and "Protect Our Defenders." While in, I had numerous fellow members of Army also, telling me how the incident I experienced was normal. Race riots on ships was also divulged to me. My Afrocentric name even led a Blackfemale, legal representative tell me during the changing process-which I underestimated the gravity — that "this is going to blow them away." I had no idea what she meant. I even had two Blackfemales who were forced to convict me irregardless of how they felt, at the AdminSepBoard, voluntarily come and visit me at my clinic and tell me to try and talk the Base Commander. Reluctantly I did. The BC said to me "bull*hit" when I told him the base had a bad racial (antiKEMETism) problem. At my [personally requested] UCMJ, two base officers testified on my behalf, a Capt. Johnson and LCDR Sayers of the Rheumatoid Clinic. My last Evaluation from the base they produced, along with a civilian nurse (Brenda Murdock, who said the navy's problem with me was me being too intelligent for them) had me at "4.0" for REENLISTMENT, as usual. And most importantly, This is a pattern the navy engages in as expressed to me by a civilian female of then Rep. Albert R. Wynn's office. I was lucky I mad it out alive, as exhibited by the military overseeing organizations of: "Protect Our Defenders" & "Invisible Wars."

American Medical Association [AMA] Corn removed part way.

On July 23 I went to Dr. Paul Clayton's office at McKay Dee Hospital in Ogden Utah to get two corns revomed. They got one off good, but on the second one still hurts. It was his assistant who used a special cutting tool. With the money they get it should be done right. Dr. Clayton did look over this this work. Also, I would like the hospital to pay the bill.
Thanks for a piece of your time to look into this.

American Medical Association [AMA] Alexan, MD

This is my neurologists office. The receptionists continue to call my mother about my upcoming appointments. I'm 34 years old. I've been a patient for years. I don't know why they all of a sudden started doing so a couple of years ago, but I find it rather degrading. It seems to be an obvious violation of HIPPA policies which seems to be an issue running rampant in Bakersfield these days.

American Medical Association [AMA] Bunion removal

Dr. Laura Kishmin in 2016 performed a bunion surgery on my left foot.
I wore a boot for 6 months, walking became a problem when the boot came off. My balance was off my hips hurt and had to see a chiropractor for several months. My toes on the left have a space between the big toe, second and third, I had to get shoes one size larger. My balance is still off - walking takes an effort. In my opinion it was surgery gone bad. I attempted to have several
conversations on my bunion removal. Went for a second opinion Dr Aaron Chokan he looked at my foot and stated"how long has Dr Kishman been out of her residency" Dr. Chokan [protected]. My balance is still off and I can not grow a toe nail on big toe. Please, check her other surgeries-

American Medical Association [AMA] Complaint against a doctor

In February of this year, my husband went into the hospital for Day Surgery. He had a pain stimulator put in his back to control his pain, which was on Feb 19, 2020. the Doctor admitted him because my husband was in so much pain, that even a strong pain medication was not working. On Feb 20, 2020, in the morning he was paralyzed from then waist done and his upper body was very weak. The Doctor ordered a CT scan and they found a blood clot. Dr Kelly said that my husband was a great man I asked why and he said that my husband broke a blood vessel in his back and then he said that he should have put a drainage tube. That statement told me that it was him (Dr. Kelly) who cut the blood vessel. My husband was taken back into surgery on Feb. 20, 2020 to remove the blood clot, well my husband is still paralyzed. He has had rehab at Tirrs Memorial, and at Lafayette Physical
Rehab. So he has yet to come home. He will be home on May 8, 2020. He is still paralyzed. Dr. Kelly who is a Neurosurgeon in Lake Charles will not return my phone calls. I haven't talked to him since February. Now I have to have all kinds of people come into my home every day amid this COVID Virus because he still has to have therapy. Now I want Dr. Kelly to give me one million dollars because this is his fault and he knows it. But of course, he will deny everything. He will also say that this was the husband's fault. Well, he either answers to you or he will answer or he will answer to a court of law. If you want to call me my # is [protected].

Thank you
Sara Destout

I have been going to a dermatologist in Enfield CT. The practice is called Integrated Dermatology on Elm Street. At first I was seeing Lenore Crosson, an APRN for my symptoms of Psoriasis and Ecxema. We tried several things, but some of them were denied by my insurance company. We decided to try something else and she put it in to my pharmacy. It was denied again. Over 2 weeks ago, I went to the same practice, but saw another person, since Lenore Crosson was no longer there. I saw Kelly Mead, PA. She was not very friendly and told me that they would call me. She also told me not to make another appointment. I've been waiting for over 2 weeks and have not heard a thing! I still have the same problems and don't know what to do anymore! Can you help?

Sincerely, .

Is it just me, or why all all Medical areas sensitive to females staffed with females? While areas sensitive to males--such as scrotal/pubic area--are staffed with mostly females. I've recently had a Colonoscopy and their were three females in the room; all females. Hospitals should do a better job of having the names and photos of the directors plastered on their walls. When such hiring is one-sided as this, there needs to be accountability. Do men 100% staff any Examining Room when females get OB/GYN treatments? Complain and show "domestic violence" scars? Run and dominate women's prisons?

American Medical Association [AMA] Unable to get an itemized statement

I started requesting an Itemized Statement for my 'stay' at the Centers Health Care [protected] X 412), New Paltz, NY facility in 07/01/2019. I was there 06/04/2019 - 06/18/2019. To date I have NOT received one. Having Medicare (at that time WellCare - I always request the Itemized Statement from a facility I was a patient at, so I may review (as STRONGLY requested by Medicare) to be sure of all charges, etc. I can see no reason why this cannot be done, as I have never had this problem with any other facility (as a matter of fact I would receive my request within 10 working days). All that I received from Centers Health Care, was a very brief and not an Itemized Statement (it seems Mr. Fischer seems to feel is the Itemized Statement) and it consisted of four (4) lines of charges - there was no detailed as to dates of admission/medications/treatments/etc. Is there a possible FRAUD involved; is this the reason for the lack of? I am attaching all correspondence I have had with Mr. Fischer, etal for you information. I hope you will be able to clear this matter up. I can be reached at: [protected]@aol.com. American Medical Association [AMA] Use of cpt code 99053

1/17/2020, ER visit for chest pain at 300am, Chest XRAY has billing for services 10pm to 6am from Texas Radiology Associates (TRA) services using cpt code 99053. TRA balanced billed for $215.00 in top of them being paid for radiology services. TRA is contracted to have radiology services 24 hours at Baylor McKinney. TRA is a in network provider and the 99053 CPT code is being used to bill for services that are excluded by insurance. Desired solution is to have TRA stop billing after hours services by having AMA to update CPT code 99053 to not be allowed to bill for after hours services when on-site 24 hours services are contracted for a 24 hour ER facility.

American Medical Association [AMA] Unethical behavior

Since 4/21/2020 I have been complaining to this doctor about some of the medication he prescribed. It was not helping my situation. When I made him aware of the issue he refused to change me back to what I was originally taking . He refused and asked me to wait. I told his receptionist that I was having a lot of discomfort. I made repeated calls to this doctor letting him know that the medicine was not working. I called one Friday frustrated and sick to hell upset and angry. I left a voicemail telling him I needed help please change me back, I was a wreck and I told him I did know what to do. I did state that I might go to the private hospital to get some treatment. A week later he drops me as a patient and refuses to give me the medication I need to continue life till I can find another doctor. all medications I take can not just be dropped and my Family Doctor will not prescribe them to me either they keep trying to send me to a behavioral hospital.

American Medical Association [AMA] A physician's unethical statement made to the public

On Wednesday, 15 April, Dr. Mehmet Oz appeared on Sean Hannity and made the statement regarding getting students back into school. "I tell you, schools are a very appetizing opportunity. I just saw a nice piece in The Lancet arguing the opening of schools may only cost us 2-3%, in terms of total mortality." This is OUTRAGEOUS, coming from a physician whose oath was to "do no harm." He should have his medical license revoked and NOW. Being on TV and promoting this kind of reprehensible nonsense makes him a danger to our society; I really don't care if he's a danger to himself. GET HIM OUT OF THE FIELD OF MEDICINE. My Mother was a physician of the highest integrity. and he is an insult to those in the medical profession who have spent their careers, saving the lives of their patients.

American Medical Association [AMA] Unethical behaviour

My name is Dennis Zadnik and live in Havertown, Pa., with my life partner Anne Killeen, who witnessed most of treatment in my statements. I am a disabled 67yrs old, Senior Citizen. Starting On Aug 27, 2019 I spent 5 days @ Fitz Mercy Hospital for Heart Surgery. A week before surgery, I gave the Surgeon (Dr Deon Vigilance) a letter from my Psychiatrist, , stating that I had PTSD, Sever ADHD, and other Problems. While in Surgery/Recovery and under Anesthesia, I was Physically Assaulted by someone with a ""Stun-Gun/Taser"" and causing me to almost Bite off a part of My Tongue. I took Pictures of the Stun-gun marks and tongue Bite Mark, while I was in Hospital. I had NO such Marks on me before the day of the Surgery, but Happened in Surgery/Recovery before I was taken to ICU where Anne was waiting. She told me how I was Tied down, both hands and feet. She knows more since I have Little or No Memory of first 36 hours. That was the beginning of my 5 Days I Spent in the Hospital. In ICU, and no one ever emptied the trash next to my bed. Have pictures. For the next 4+ days, the treatment I received from the staff was Deplorable, Emotionally Distressful, and Mentally/Psychologically Abusive. After ICU I was placed in a Room at the very end of hall #559 on which someone placed a Large Sign stating "WARNING CONTACT PRECAUTIONS" to further Isolate Me, have picture. And I was NOT #552, which someone put on the Hospital Record for that time period. This Room #559 was used as a Storage Room. It had Dumpsters in it, which I have Pictures. After leaving the Hospital I went thru my Release Papers which had a Diagnosis. It Stated that I had a Urinary Infection, Strep Throat, and Whopping Cough. A "MISDIAGNOSIS" of which I had None of the Conditions Listed. -- All the Mistreatment and Abuse, and Assaults I received has made my PTSD Night terrors, Depression, ADHD much much worse. Let alone thinking WHAT Physically Happened to Me in OR, Recovery, ICU. ---A patient SHOULD FEEL SAFE when they go in for Surgery. I "NEVER"felt SAFE after I woke up from Surgery. I WILL "NEVER" GO BACK TO THAT HOSPITAL. Or the DOCTORS OR STAFF. After WHAT THEY PUT ME THRU.---

==== I know by researching online that Hospitals have used Tasers/Stun Guns for Aggressive, Out of Control Patients in ER or Patient Rooms, , BUT To Use Such a Disabling Force on a Patient undergoing Heart By-pass Surgery while under Anesthesia, , , !? And Then to Coverup what They Did by putting me in Isolation.

==== No One, I Mean NO ONE should have to go thru what I went thru. Unless Your in some Third World Country.

==== I do NOT do any kind of illegal Drugs. Or Drink any Liquor. I am a Law Abiding Citizen. And a Roman Catholic.

==== I informed both the Surgeon, before entering the OR and Anesthetist in OR, , That I have a HIGH Tolerance to the Medication that they maybe going to use to Sedate me. And that I would NOT be responsible for my actions, I was Ignored. And What Happened ? I have NO Idea, and received NO Answers from Doctor or Staff about any of the marks on my body, and my Tongue. All I got was "" I Don't Know"" ""You'll have to ask the Doctor"" or Just Crickets. The Only time I saw the Doctor was the day after surgery for about 2(two) min and 2(two)min on day before I was Discharged.

=== I was NOT told when I was Discharged, , That I had a Apical Pneumothorax in Lower Left Lung, which I learned about when I read my Medical Records from that time frame, 4 weeks later. --- When I was around 30yrs old I had a Total Pneumothorax on Right Side 3(three) times. And have had a partial Pheumothorax in the Bottom of right lung for yrs.

==== I was put in Isolation in ICU until I was Discharged. With NO Consideration of My Mental Problems such as PTSD and Sever ADHD. Only received 1-2 doses of Adderal last 3 days.

==== My Headaches have increased, Stiff Neck, more Short Term Memory Loss, Dizzy Spells, Irritability, Fatigue, Depression. Some may be due to Medication Change. But many of these conditions and More, I had prior to going into Hospital.

==== What Ever happened to " DO NO HARM " or " The Master (Hospital) Must Answer for the Servant ( Doctors and their Staff)

==== Patients Rights were Thrown Out the Window. Then the Cover-up Began after the Anesthesia wore off.

==== Adding Insult to Injury, , I have received a letter from James Green, Regional VP and Chief Development Officer, Trinity Health, , stating that they Deliver Exceptional and Excellent Health Care to their Patients. And ASKING for a Donation...REALLY !

American Medical Association [AMA] Medication handling

I have been a patient at LVPG for several years. They have been treating me for migraines. Despite taking my medication as prescribed by my DR & noted by my pharmacist, when I contacted them, I was rudely talked down to by Nurse Deidre A P, and refused to pass along the request. This was extremely unprofessional, and I feel, beyond her authority. This unprofessional behavior is unacceptable.

American Medical Association [AMA] abandonment of care, negligence

I was a patient of Resurgia Health Solutions for years. My health has not improved. I had necessary surgery advised by my providers Imani Williams referred to Gastro Dr. Suh referred to Surgeon Dr Quiones. I was harassed by office manager who wasn't authorized to access my records and did. I recorded the conversation and played it for Alex Peterson their staff psychologist. I provided all information requested regardless of Charles not being medical staff and this violated my right to privacy. Being a previous victim of medical sexual assault in 1999 in Detroit, this was horrific. I was already experiencing bouts of pain from my gallbladder Dr Williams had ordered a scan that showed sludge. Protocol was being followed. Dr Bradshaw and Charles weren't involved in my day to day care and wanted me to be in pain it appears. The ultrasound was done almost a year prior to surgery. I suffered for that time in silence. During pre-op I received a letter dismissing me from care, stating I was now mobile. Having gone to receive necessary care for surgery. This is disappointing as Resurgia is incapable of performing surgery therefore unable to relieve the symptoms. I wasn't going to hospital because it was now easy or I'm able. It was NECESSARY. To release a patent from care because they chose to not suffer additional pain is penalizing the patient for getting treatment outside the scope of your capabilities. Dr Bradshaw further discredited his profession by lying about who I was treating with. In a letter he stated I was treating with Dr. Orwewa. I am not and have never treated with Dr Orwewa. He treated my Mother, who subsequently died. I wouldn't treat with any of those doctors. I was released for personal reasons known only to Dr Bradshaw. My kidneys were falling, I was releasing Hyaline crystals. Labs show GFR at failure levels 60. Cysts were covering my kidneys and liver 5/19. I wasn't well and felt it but was being treated horrible by Dr Bradshaw and office manager Charles whom I'd never met nor treated with. They wanted me to lay down and die. I had 1 spot on my lung 6/16 Wellstar. Now a second has appeared 2/20, alongside pleurisy. According to ER Doctor this is autoimmune or cancer confirmation (Dr Audrey Williams Wellstar Cobb). I have now suffered a cardiac event due to trying to get treatment without being able to get out to get treatment. None of my records had been retrieved and compiled to make sense of what's happening. I still don't have a primary doctor. No one understands the release given by Resurgia with my legs in their current state. My legs began swelling in Resurgias care and I never received a reason for this. Both of my knees have torn meniscus'(Emory) I didn't have surgery to correct. Resurgia was trying to replace my braces that had been damaged, tried but couldn't locate how (Dr Silva 2017). Also I had been through Er when both legs became engorged and was put in immobilizers and on crutches (11/2017 Wellstar)for what was thought to be gout. Leg problems were seen photographed and acknowledged by Resurgia. I was discharged from Resurgias care directly after gallbladder surgery 7/31/2019. This is indicative of a doctor who believes he is above any kind of regulation or procedural authority and is willing to lie about following up 8/2019. No follow up. I have received no care to date and relying solely upon my specialists. New doctors don't understand why I was discharged. No one even pain clinics have given me any medication. So I have gone without. This has put a tremendous strain on my body. I've never been in a situation where I had to ask or beg for needed meds. It's in the system what has been given to me. To abruptly stop is malpractice. I can provide part of my record that I downloaded through February 2019. It shows I'm agoraphobic also. Not sure when Dr Bradshaw determined this was cleared. It's not. Ethically challenged people do not belong in the medical profession. People are coming vulnerable and damaged for help. To be at the mercy of someone who has no care or consideration or conscience and believes the patient won't know how to proceed and has to take it is not how this is supposed to work. I shouldn't have had a cardiac event (2/2020) and my health be so disregarded and I disposed of. I was unable to retrieve my medical records and refused my medication 7/31/19. I had just had surgery wasn't seeing anyone and refills were due. It was horrible! I have tried everything before filing this complaint. Staff from my specialists offices advised me to file. I really liked Dr Imani and believed she was concerned and looked out for my well being. There was witnesses in my treatment. I had nurses during some visits. I am a SOURCE patient still. When this happened it was reported to SOURCE coordinators. Resurgias website doesn't state anything about mobility being a factor. I was released due to Dr Bradshaw and Charles personal reasons and have suffered greatly. I would appreciate being reinstated, able to see Dr Imani Williams, medications, records and support. Normal patient relationship

American Medical Association [AMA] dr. Craig Kuesel

Over the past several months I have been seeing a neurologist in Traverse City, Michigan by the name of Dr. Craig Keusel for chronic headaches the onset of which coincide with a head and neck injury sustained in January 2019. None of the meager treatment he has given has helped and in fact has made matters worse while he refuses to do anything but increase the dosage of medication that obviously does not work while also advising continued physical therapy which has made matters worse. He has also seen to it that I only have access to his medical assistant and will not answer any questions in person which makes it impossible to express my experiences firsthand. To the best of my knowledge he is still billing Medicaid for these non visits. It also appears his office is sharing my personal medical information with outside parties without my consent or authorization.

Sincerely,

Craig Gripentrog

American Medical Association [AMA] physician complaint

On Friday, September 20th, I hit my head very hard on the roof of my car. The pain was intense and that night I began to vomit. Due to my history of having a subarachnoid cyst and hydrocephalus, which I had a VA Shunt and underwent a total of 52 brain surgeries, as well as me having a stroke during one of my operations in 2001, I decided on Monday, September 23rd, to call my Neurosurgeon, Dr Holly Gilmer, because the pain was getting worse, and I was still vomiting. I spoke with Dr Gilmer's Registered Nurse, Wendy. She advised me to the Emergency Room to get checked out to rule out a concussion and a possible brain bleed. I did what I was advised to do, and I went to the Ascension satellite ER in Macomb, located at 23 mile and Romeo Plank. I explained to the Triage Nurse that my Neurosurgeon sent me to the ER to be checked for a possible concussion or brain bleed. I also gave her a detailed explanation of my medical history, and informed her of my current symptoms (terrible pain and vomiting since hitting my head). While the Nurse was finishing up, Dr Douglas John Wheaton came into the room. I informed him that Dr Gilmer had sent me to the ER to get checked out for a possible concussion or brain bleed. I also informed him that I have had 52 brain surgeries due to have a shunt. I then explained to him that I am in a lot of pain and I was vomiting, and since the pain or the vomiting was consistent, I was concerned about having a concussion or brain bleed. He looked in my ears, looked at my throat, touched my head where the pain was, and declared "the part of the skull that you hit is the strongest part of your skull, therefore you did no damage." He then walked out of the room. I was in shock because he didn't really examine me, and was in the room for literally 3 minutes. About 10 minutes later, the Nurse came in with my discharge papers. I asked if I was being sent for a CT Scan or MRI. She informed me that I was not being sent for a CT Scan or MRI, and that I was being discharged. After signing the discharge papers, I walked out of the room. Dr. Wheaton was sitting behind the desk. I went up to him and said I had some questions before I leave. Here is how the conversation went:
Me: I'm a little confused as to why I'm not getting a CT scan or MRI. My Neurosurgeon, Dr Gilmer, sent me here to be checked for a possible concussion or brain bleed.
Dr: The area of your skull that you hit is the strongest part of the skull, so there is no way you caused damage.
Me: Can you really rule out a concussion and brain bleed without having a CT Scan or MRI done?
Dr: Where you hit is the strongest part of your skull, so I know you did not cause any damage by hitting that area. You have a tension headache, not a concussion or brain bleed
Me: Because I have had 52 brain surgeries, I am a bit nervous that I have a concussion or brain bleed. I am also concerned that I may have caused damage to the area where my shunt used to be. I have a 'natural' pathway where my shunt used to be, and if I hit it hard enough, I could shift that pathway and it could close off. You honestly can rule all of that out without a CT Scan or MRI?
Dr: Yes. You don't need a CT Scan or MRI because I know you didn't cause any damage. Besides, it is a known fact that the radiation in a CT Scan and MRI causes cancer. With your medical history, I'm sure you've had a lot of CT Scans and MRI's, so your risk for cancer is already increased. We don't want to send patients for CT Scans or MRI's for just anything. I know you didn't cause damage because of the part of the skull you hit. Besides, I'm not understanding how you hit the back top portion of your skull on your car.
Me: I explained that as I was putting my work bag and purse into my car, my sunglasses fell to the floor of the front passenger seat. Instead of walking to that side of my car, I put both knees on my driver's seat chair and reached over to pick up the sunglasses. After I removed my knees from my seat, I placed my feet on my driveway and as I was coming up to exit my vehicle, I hit my head on the door frame. I also told him that I'm not concerned about getting cancer and that I am very concerned I have a brain bleed or concussion.
Dr: I'm still not understanding how you hit your head
Me: (At this point, I physically reenacted what I did and how I hit my head)
Dr: There's no way you caused damage by doing that. You have a tension headache
Me: I regularly get tension headaches, so I know how they feel. This is not one of my tension headaches. The pain is getting worse and I am vomiting. That it why I called Dr Gilmer, and she advised me to come to the ER to get checked out.
Dr: You probably spoke to a Patient Care Advocate, not a Nurse. Their first line of defense is to immediately send patients to the ER. I know you didn't cause any damage
Me: Ok, well I'm still concerned because I'm still in a lot of pain and I am vomiting.
Dr: If it's a pain situation, you need to speak with your PCP.
Me: I'm not worried about the pain, I'm worried that I may have a concussion or brain bleed. If you are questioning if I am here for painkillers, I am not. I don't take painkillers. I'm here to rule out a brain bleed or concussion.
Dr: Like I said, there is no damage because the part of your skull that you hit, is the hardest part of the skull
Me: (At this point, knowing that I wasn't going to get anywhere with this Doctor who could magically rule out a concussion or brain bleed without doing a CT Scan or MRI, I decided to leave)
As I was walking to my car, I called my husband and told him what happened. I also informed him that if I were to drop dead due to having a brain bleed that Dr Wheaton ignored my concerns and request for a CT Scan, he needs to sue Dr Wheaton & Ascension St John. I then called Dr. Gilmer's office and left a voicemail about what happened. Since I couldn't immediately get a hold of Dr Gilmer, I called my PCP, Dr Lange, to inform him of my concerns. His medical assistant was shocked that Dr Wheaton didn't do a CT Scan, especially given my history of having 52 brain surgeries due to my hydrocephalus & subarachnoid cyst. Dr Lange sent me for a STAT CT Scan. Later that day Wendy from Dr Gilmer's office called me back. She was appalled that Dr Wheaton ignored my symptoms and request to be checked for a brain bleed & concussion. I informed her that I will be filing a complaint against Dr Wheaton and she agreed that is a good idea.
As a patient that has a serious and extensive history of brain trauma, I am appaled that Dr Wheaton ignored mine, and Dr Gilmer's request to be checked out for a brain bleed & concussion! Dr Wheaton did not take the take to examine me, nor did he take my concerns seriously. He violated his own Hippocratic oath to take care of his patients. Hypothetically speaking, let's say I did have a brain bleed and I died, Dr Wheaton & Ascension St John would be responsible! Dr Wheaton's arrogance was ridiculous and got in the way of him fulfilling his duties as a Physician. He, and Ascension St John, had the gull to bill my insurance! Dr Wheaton was with me for 3 minutes, and he billed Aetna $593.00! I was in that ER for a total of 15 minutes, and Ascension billed Aetna $422.00! Dr Wheaton and Ascension are lucky that I did not have a brain bleed that could of caused my death, but I fear that next patient that Dr Wheaton ignores due to his arrogance won't be as lucky! I am planning on turning Dr Wheaton into every single medical board there is for his arrogance and his lack of fulfilling his Hippocratic oath!

I went to Jefferson general in port townsend. Again, the staff were very unprofessional except foe my we dr. He did say to have me do I x-ray. Though the nurse and 'team dr.' Who came in after i was wheeled back ro my room where they cut me off of the phone, and told me I wouldn't be seeing my Dr who had came in the first time - Who had me scared- were not any where near legit. And had me arrested for interfering with a medical facility.i then spent three days in jail, and again for no medical help. Until recently my side's of my face were bruised yellow and there was no way u couldn't look at me and see that there was some thing wrong. Even the local police stayed with me to get me signed in there and that was 45 minutes. No one was the but 2 other people.
I got more care and concern by the local police department than the hospitals.there is more to this and more unreal able behavior from people that we are supposed to trust. I just don't feel like do ing into it. I would like to find a lawyer for compensation, if any know of one, or one woyld like to take my cases. Something has to stop this out here. Im one of many with complaints of all three, jefferson 😣😙😚, mason and clallam county hospitals here in washington state. They are under educated and do not have up to date facility nor mannerisms and no one is overseeing them🤕, nor investigating them.
