This company is a fraud! I purchased the Allstate Protection Plan for my TV that I bought in November 2023. When my TV stopped working last week I contacted Allstate and they helped me troubleshoot the TV and when it still wouldn't work they transferred me to Squaretrade. They are the worst! Squaretrade sent me an email with 3 TV's to choose from--one including the TV that just stopped working which I'm certainly not going to want again. The other 2 TV's were low quality TV's and not even as much cost as the one I had purchased with my own money! The Squaretrade rep I spoke to on the phone about this said if I didn't like their choices I could escalate my claim and ask for my money to refunded so that is exactly what I did because I didn't like the options they were offering me. Once I did that they sent me an email asking for different verifications (picture of the TV, picture of a handwritten note with date & time pic of TV was taken, pic of TV serial #, what happened to TV etc. I responded immediately with an email reply with all the verifications they asked for. You can imagine my irritation when they sent me a 2nd email asking for ALL THE SAME THINGS! I called them and asked them why they were asking me to duplicate what I'd just done and rep said she didn't know why but just do it anyway. I was very irritated and did everything a SECOND TIME and sent it to them A SECOND TIME. Well guess what---they sent me the SAME EMAIL A THIRD TIME! I was now beyond furious and called them and asked for a manager and she said they wanted it all again because my note with the date and time pic of TV was taken had to be IN the pic of the TV--which was extremely anal. I asked her why the rep I spoke to when I called the last time didn't tell me that and of course she couldn't tell me why but I'm fully convinced it's because they're all incompetent. So now I sent them a THIRD REPLY with all the same verifications and this time made sure the note with date and time written on it was INSIDE THE SAME PIC I took of the TV. Well imagine my aggravation when they sent me A FOURTH EMAIL AND NOW ARE ADDING EXTRA THINGS THEY WANT--PICTURES OF THE TV NOT JUST FROM THE FRONT BUT NOW ALSO FROM THE SIDES AND BACK! I was livid. I called them about this email and asked the manager why they are ADDING criteria they need from me which are totally ridiculous! Also those pictures would be very difficult to obtain because the TV is on a heavy cabinet AGAINST MY WALL AND IN THE CORNER--WITH WINDOW ON ONE SIDE AND FIREPLACE ON THE OTHER. Taking those pics would be a huge undertaking moving the TV and cabinet out from the wall to get them! The manager said she would relay my message to the team that handles the warranties and at first wasn't getting an answer and kept me on hold a long time. She said she'd call me back and I said that wasn't acceptable. She then came back on the line and said the warranty team would EMAIL me again with their reply this time. I asked to talk to the warranty team but CONVENIENTLY (for them--not the customers!) they are not available by phone and only by email! I then had to wait for their email reply and they didn't respond at all to me that day (and had spoke about 2:00 p.m.) They finally emailed me back the next business day and I was back to SQUARE ONE ALL OVER AGAIN because now they were offering me TWO TV'S TO CHOOSE FROM AND STILL NOT MY MONEY BACK! THIS COMPANY IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST AND IT ISN'T AN ACTUAL WARRANTY BECAUSE THEY WON'T REFUND YOUR MONEY TO YOU AND YOUR CHOICES FOR REPLACEMENT ARE OF THEIR CHOOSING AND LOW QUALITY AND NOT EVEN THE SAME VALUE AS THE TV I BOUGHT WITH MY OWN MONEY! Then the delivery day they didn't even give me tracking number so had no way to know when it was going to be delivered and also gave me a TWELVE HOUR WINDOW (7 A.M. TO 7 P.M.) for it's arrival! I waited EIGHT FRIGGING HOURS FROM 7 A.M. TO 3 P.M. BEFORE IT WAS FINALLY DELIVERED! Talk about adding insult to injury! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS HORRIBLE PROTECTION PLAN BECAUSE IT IS A JOKE AND A SCAM IN MY OPINION.
