Living at Missions at Rio Vista has been extremely disappointing. From the first week, we had AC issues that affected air quality. I was sick for two whole months due to this by the way. Maintenance replaced a dirty filter but dismissed further concerns, saying the system was just old.
I continued to report issues for months even showing them proof of my doctor stating the apartment was causing my horrific cough.
By October, our SDG&E bills were unusually high. Only then did management send out professionals, and the entire AC system had to be replaced. Even after that, they refused to provide a report or offer any compensation for the inflated utility bills.
There were also serious safety concerns. My fiancé's motorcycle was stolen four days after move-in, there was an attempted break-in, and frequent vandalism.
All of this was reported, but security remained lacking.
When we tried to discuss breaking our lease due to these ongoing issues, management, regional, and ownership refused to waive any fees or take responsibility. Because of everything we've experienced, we are now meeting with attorneys. This has been a stressful and frustrating situation, and I would not recommend this property, WHATSOEVER.
